"Oh hey Lela I just", Brandon started but I cut him off. "What are you doing here", I asked angrily, "I said it was over and it still is". "Come on you can't still be angry", he said, "That was in the past, people change". "Well apparently I don't", I said turning my back to him. "Look I'm sorry ok", he said with a sigh, "I wasn't thinking straight". I rolled my eyes, "So much so that you cheated on me for six months? I don't think so". "Infact how did you get on this property", I said turning back to him, "Oh so now you're breaking and entering, I need to call Melanie". "Too late", I heard her voice, "I was scouting when I saw this boy bothering you". I looked up to see a bat transform into my best friend. "You heard her get out". "I wasn't talking to you", he snarled at her before turning to me, "I'm sorry". Wait why didn't he react to Melanie, something is definitely wrong here. "Why aren't you scared or surprised at seeing a vampire", I asked suspiciously. He looked like he just messed up a plan, "I uh I mean I", he stuttered. "I know about this stuff ok", he said at last, "You're on the wrong side of this battle". "The Brandon I knew didn't believe in 'this stuff'", I said to him, "Who are you''. "Get back Lela", I heard Mel shout, "That thing is dangerous". I stepped back and it attacked.

I managed to dodge but it wouldn't give up. Then it turned its attention to Melanie. It produced a wicked looking knife from its pocket. It lunged at her. Out of nowhere sprung twin sticks with crescent shaped blades with the arcs stuck to it. I'm getting good at this stuff. With my new weapons I returned the attack. I hoped that I would be luckier than I was with the minotaur. Melanie went back to human form and brought out a very sharp sword that she used to train and from what I'd seen I'd rather not be on the other end of that blade. I finally landed a deep cut on its shoulder and instead of blood black too was seeping out of it, eeeewwww. Melanie delivered the last blow and it melted into a puddle of too, "You'll pay for this. And as for you Lela you had your chance but now there will be no mercy". I shuddered and looked at Mel trying to read her expression but she looked lost. Could I deal with this sort of thing everyday I had asked myself before helping her clean up the mess.
