Chapter Three
Even though the night had only blossomed and bloomed, (M/N) had retired to bed early and quietly cried himself to sleep. However, (M/N) had not gotten much rest, because he was awoken from something tightly and protectively coiled around his lithe waist. Despite the rather innocent action, (M/N) angrily huffed and pushed the lavender haired vampire's arm away from him. Fortunately, (M/N) had not been too rough, because the amethyst eyed vampire remained peacefully in slumber. With this in mind, (M/N) silently slipped out of the bedroom and immediately began running down the desolate hallways, because he could not bear to stay any longer in the hopeless and one-sided marriage. "Ouch!" (M/N) yelped, while tripping and landing painfully on his knees, as the small scrapes in his skin oozed out blood. "Come on, (M/N). You have to keep going."
For that purpose, (M/N) pushed himself off from the ground and quickly descended down the grand staircase. Unfortunately, (M/N)'s scraped knees were not healing fast enough and wafting his scent throughout the entire mansion. However, (M/N) could only blame himself for his inability to heal, because he had stopped drinking blood and believed his parents would cancel the marriage. On the contrary, (M/N)'s parents had only sped up the marriage process and laced his human desserts with blood. Then again, (M/N) had found out and declined to eat his favorite human desserts too. "Stop reminiscing, idiot!" (M/N) muttered, while opening the front double doors and running outside, as he attempted to rattle the ebony gates open. "What the heck?!"
Even though the gates would not budge open, (M/N) looked around and took off running towards the rose garden. Fortunately, (M/N) found a rose trellis ladder that he could climb and jump down to freedom from. However, (M/N)'s path soon became blocked with bright purple flames, while pale arms snaked around his waist, as butterfly kisses began decorating his neck "You're a terrible escape artist," Kanato murmured, while (M/N) annoyingly grumbled and struggled to get away, as the violet haired vampire giggled and held on tighter. "I've always wondered how another pureblood would taste like. You, my dear, I know you would taste sweeter than any cake in the world. But, I could never imagine myself harming your pretty, little neck. I love you and I want to be nice to you, but you're making that very difficult for me. If I were you, I would not try running away again. You should take that as a warning."
A/N: What do you think? I hope that you liked it.
