A/n I've just started to watch The Originals recently and I'm crazy about Elijah so here is a random idea that came to me.

It's not everyday that when you go to a bar and get talking to a guy,that you find out you have something's in common. Like that time a few years back I got talking to this guy called Klaus Mikaelson and I learnt that both me and him have almost been killed by one of our parents. Klaus being his 'dad' Mikael and me my 'mother' Mary- Ann. And no I didn't hook up with him either,we just weirdly bonded. Not to mention the fact that one of the vampires he sired,then turned me so we have that tiny connection as well.

In time I got to meet Klaus's siblings,Rebekah and Elijah,and there family friend Marcel Gerard. They did find it strange that Klaus would open up to me easily but then again when you have something in common it's different. Over time I grew to like Klaus's sister Rebekah,his older brother Elijah well that's a different story. Yes we do get along but he always seems a bit distant and cold with me, Rebekah just says that's who he is but I'm not fully convinced with that. I think there is something that I'm not being told,but I'm not going to pry.

And now I'm currently at the Mikaelson place,Klaus is painting I think,Rebekah is not at home and Elijah...I don't know what he is doing. So I'm just wondering about the place looking for something to do, which there isn't much of. I had just walked down the stairs and went to head to the door,when I have the feeling that someone is watching me. I ignore the feeling and carry on to the door
"Leaving so soon" a voice asked from upstairs,I turn and see that is Elijah
"Why does it matter to you?" I asked
"I thought perhaps you would care for some company?" Elijah asked.

"If you want me to do something,then just ask." I said
"Why do you assume I want you to do something for me?" Elijah asks walking down the stairs
"Well when ever you talk to me,it's to either ask me to do something or fetch someone " I tell him, he stops beside me
"I have no ulterior motive this time Y/n,you have my word" Elijah said,I look at him skeptically
"I don't fully believe you but alright " I said heading to the door again"Come along if you wish,I won't stop you"

Elijah did join me outside,and the two of us walked in silence. We walked for some time with no destination in mind,I hadn't planned on this when I decided to go for a walk early.
"Do you hate me?" I asked the vampire in the suit beside me
"Why would you ask me that?" Elijah asked
"I just get this feeling that you don't like me being around, either with your siblings or on my own" I said
"I have no problem with you being around Y/n,it's nice that you and Niklaus share a bond " Elijah said
"That isn't what I meant" I point out" If you don't want to tell me why you don't like me,that's fine. I'm used to people hating me,I've come to expect it really " I said.

Elijah reaches out and takes ahold of my arm and turns me to face him
"I don't hate you Y/n,I never have done" Elijah said " I just..." he trailed off
"You what Elijah?" I ask him, he looked around us as if he is making sure no one else is nearby. He then looks back at me,his brown eyes looking right at me
"I'm only the way I am around you Y/n is...is because I like you " Elijah said quietly
"You like me?" I said confused" Since when?"
"Since Niklaus first introduced you to me" Elijah said " I didn't want to make my feelings known because Niklaus has a way of... removing the women I like"

"Oh I see" I said " I'm glad you have a valid reason for being cold with me"
"I don't mean to be. I don't want to be cold with you Y/n. It's just..."Elijah paused there
"You don't want to get attached to me and then have your brother kill me" I said for him
"Yes" Elijah said " I'm sorry for my behaviour around you"
"Don't be,I had a feeling there was a reason behind it. I just didn't expect it to be this" I said
"To hell with Niklaus" Elijah said before he moved to me and kissed me on the lips. For someone that is cold and formal, Elijah certainly has a very hot kiss.
"Just as well I have a thing for men in suits" I said after we part from the kiss.

"Don't worry my dear,suits are all I wear" Elijah said
"Birthday suit included "I teased
"You're a bad girl Y/n" Elijah said smirking
"I learnt from the best."
