Alpha Garland

Henrik

"I thought I might find you in here, Henrik," Marian said, her hands on her hips.

"Why yes, Marian, please do come in my bedroom," I said sarcastically.

"We shared a womb, Henrik. Check yourself," Marian snapped.

I rolled my eyes. "What do you want?" You've got that look imposing look on your face,"

"I was just seeing if you were alone," Marian said, but I wasn't buying it.

"Marian," I eyed her.

"Henrik," Marian said. "You know I don't care about you and Lorian. Who you spend time with is your business. I just don't want you to fall in love,"

"What would be so wrong about that? Lorian is a great man; I wouldn't want any other wolf to serve as my Beta," I said, defending my friend.

"I know Lorian is a good man, but what if you fall in love and then you meet your mate? Not only would you break Lorian's heart, but you'd be breaking your mate's heart, too. You know wolves are all grown to wait or save themselves for their mates," Marian said.

"We're 24 years old, Marian. I'm not a teenager anymore waiting for my happily ever after. I live in the real world, and my PACK comes before my love life," I growled.

"What about Lorian? Does he understand?" Marian asks.

"Yes, Lorian does understand. Lorian is my Beta and the person who steps up and takes my place while I'm gone on business trips. He gets what it is between us. DO you?" I said.

Marian scoffed. "Alright, I'll stop. Anyways, I heard you're doing a renovation to the club?"

"Oh, for the love of the goddess, I just put the work order in this morning. How do you know about that?" I said.

"I have my ways brother," Marian whipped her hair.

"Alright, bye," I pointed to the door.

"I'm being dismissed?" Marian laughed. "Okay, bye,"

Marian left my room, and I heard Lorian exit the bathroom. "So, you think I'm a great guy?"

"And if I do?" I crossed my arms.

"There's the classic Henrik. Answering everything with a question," Lorian shook his head, smiling.

"Does it annoy you?" I smirked.

"You do realize that was another question," Lorian said.

I laughed. "Are you alright after hearing that? I know my sister can be very blunt,"

"Luna Marian is right, though; we should stop. Sooner or later, one of us will find our fated mate. We should end it now before we go too deep and end up hurt when we're left in the dust when one of our mates appears," Lorian said.

"If that is what you wish," I nodded. "Okay then,"

"Maybe one last kiss goodbye, my Alpha," Lorian said.

"If you must," I said, shoving Lorian to the wall and connecting my lips to his. "But first, take off those pants," I ordered.

"Yes, Alpha," Lorian moaned as he closed his eyes.

(A Few Days Later)

I was sitting on my patio chair when two hands touched my shoulders. I stood up and saw my cousin Garland.

"You're looking well," Garland said.

"Garland, I trust you had a good flight?" I said.

"Yes, and thank you for the jet ride," Garland smiled.

"No problem. Where's your boy toy?" I asked, not seeing Garland, mate.

"Behind you," Garland giggled.

"Desmond!" I said as I looked behind me. I embraced my old friend.

"Henrik, it's good to see you. I thought we agreed the last time I was here. There was no name-calling," Desmond said.

"You're family, Desmond. Nothing's off limits," I laughed.

"He's only teasing, my love," Garland told Desmond.

"My LoVe," I mocked.

"One day, Henrik, I will kick your ass," Desmond scoffed. "Maybe we should see his warriors, baby. See if they're up to your standards,"

Desmond smirked at me.

"Oh, my warriors are up to Garland's standards," I said.

"My mate will be the judge of that," Desmond softly laughed.

"Good seeing you, Desmond," I said. "Love the new hair do,"

"Whatever my mates wants, my mate gets," Desmond said with pride.

"Speaking of mates, how are you and Lorian going?"

"Mm, we're not together anymore. Lorian ended it between us. That relationship ran its course, and we figured it was time," I explained.

"Good. Well, lead the way. I want to see what your warriors remember from my last visit," Garland giggled.

"Follow me," I gestured.

Since Garland was a child, she was always special. Born a Seer, she receives visions from the Moon Goddess herself. They can be flashes of places and people to help. Garland could meet someone and receive an image from the future if she needed to change it or save it. Because Garland is a Seer, she wasn't born with a wolf; she only has the werewolf traits—enhanced hearing, healing, strength, and smell. But what makes her different from everyone else are her violet eyes that turn white when she gets a vision and her silver hair and ash-toned skin. Every pack has a seer, so one is always born into a werewolf pack. My seer, like everyone else, started as a rogue. I allowed him into my home, which he knew would happen. That's why he sought me out.

But Garland, she's always been a special kind of woman. Not only was Garland born a Seer, but she has a knack for hunting. She'd get visions about packs nationwide for wolves to save. That's how she became the Ghost.

Garland could infiltrate packs and do what she needed before anyone found out she was there. That was when she was 16; now 26, she is an Alpha of our childhood pack and a werewolf pack of Ghost rogues in Russia and the United States. Garland trains them, and once they pass all her tests, they become one of her Ghosts. When she receives visions, she sends them out to do her work if she cannot get there in time. I think the Moon Goddess saw what Garland was doing and liked her plan since her Ghost rogues are just as busy. That's what Sarena is training so hard to be, and I hope she passes this time.

Moon Goddess, please make Sarena's wish come true.
