"Mukuro-kun, Chrome-chan! Are you here?"

Tsuna entered the rundown Kokuyo building, carrying a stack of bentos in his hands.

There was a slight drop in temperature as the said Mist Guardians appeared before the brunet in an indigo haze.

"Kufufu, konbanwa, Tsunayoshi-kun/Hello, Boss."

Tsuna grinned as he handed Chrome the bentos.

"Here. These are for you guys--there's some for Ken-kun and Chikusa-kun."

Chrome smiled softly as she took them from Tsuna's hands.

"Arigatou, Boss."

Mukuro chuckled creepily as he sauntered over to the couch in the small room, sitting down as he ran a hand through his hair.

"What else are you here for, Tsunayoshi-kun? I don't believe that you've only come here to give us something to eat. Kufufufu~!"

Tsuna smiled and nodded.

"Hai..." The brunet took a seat on a cushioned chair across from the couch. "I wanted to talk about the upcoming ring match."

Mukuro's eyes sparkled with interest as Chrome tilted her head with curiosity.

"Go on..."

"Mu...where's my opponent?"

Mammon--Viper, the Mist Arcobaleno--floated around the empty gym, settling at the center of it.

"I don't get paid enough for this..."

Slam!

"Sorry we're late, byon!"

"How annoying..."

"What was that, Kakipi?!"

A blonde swatted angrily at a bluenette, who had a beanie on his head; an indigonet and a purplenette followed from behind.

"Kufufu~! It's the Mist Arcobaleno, Viper."

The said baby jerked his head in surprise; Reborn and Colonello--the Rain Arcobaleno came to watch even when he wasn't needed to train Ryohei--also blinked in surprise.

Reborn tugged his fedora down slightly.

"I thought the baby was too familiar."

Colonello huffed as he crossed his tiny arms.

"You took my words out of my mouth, Reborn, kora."

The Cervello suddenly appeared, activating the infrared lasers once Chrome, Ken and Chikusa entered the small cage.

"This is to make sure that no one interferes with the fight."

Mukuro chuckled eerily as he stepped into the middle of the gym; he gave a single glance in Chrome's and Tsuna's direction.

"How interesting..."

Chrome blinked her one eye before sitting on her knees; she closed her eye and sighed softly.

Mukuro chuckled as he looked back at his opponent; the Cervello stepped to the side.

"May the Battle of the Mist Guardian, start!"

The two stood there for a few moments.

Suddenly, Mammon sent out blue tentacles at Mukuro.

Mukuro chuckled as his red eye spun to the kanji number one; he twirled his trident before slashing through the tentacles.

He stabbed his trident into the ground; columns of fire sprung forth and headed towards Mammon.

Viper grunted as he floated upwards before getting caught in one of the columns.

But Mukuro wasn't looking in that direction anymore as he blocked an illusion-sword from behind with his trident.

"Kufufufu~such weak illusions..."

Mammon appeared not to far away from the indigonet, a slight disgruntled and irritated expression was present on the baby's face.

"Muu. You're just a cocky brat."

Mukuro chuckled again as he spun his trident around; his eye switched to the kanji number three.

Snakes suddenly appeared and jumped out at Mammon, who scowled slightly before sending a sudden gust of icy wind.

The gym began to freeze up, stopping the snakes and slowly capturing Mukuro.

Mukuro chuckled as he watched the ice creep up his legs and slowly capture him.

When he lifted his head, his red eye had the kanji number six.

"Shall we start the plan," he glanced over at his little sister-figure. "Chrome? Kufufufu~!"

The indigonet became fully incased in ice, but it wasn't for long.

Chrome suddenly appeared beside him and broke through the ice, freeing the other; everyone blinked in surprise and looked back to Tsuna's group--Chrome was still sitting there.

Tsuna grinned as he watched Mukuro shake off the ice.

"Arigatou, Chrome. Kufufu~!"

"Doitashimaste, Mukuro-nii-sama."

Mammon studied Chrome closely.

"This girl...she's an illusion?"

Mukuro chuckled.

"Kufufu~correct, Arcobaleno. But you you are also incorrect."

Everyone blinked in confusion; Hayato sighed as Takeshi laughed.

"They haven't used this attack combo in a while/Haha! I kinda missed this formation!"

Chrome smiled as she stood closely to Mukuro; they both spoke at the same time.

"Specchio di Nebbia." (Mirror of Mist.)

Tsuna smiled as he gave an explanation to Reborn, murmuring softly.

"Specchio di Nebbia is a formation that Mukuro and Chrome created on the battlefield." Tsuna grimaced at the memory. "Chrome was injured, so she couldn't move--but her help was still needed. So Mukuro came up with an idea of creating an illusion-body for Chrome, and her spirit was transferred to it with the help of Mukuro's 2nd and 6th Path of Reincarnation: the Realm of Hungry Ghosts and the Realm of Heavens."

Reborn smirked slightly as he turned to look back at the battle.

'How interesting...'

Mukuro and Chrome got into a fighting stance.

"Kufufufu~are you ready, Chrome?"

Chrome smirked.

"Hufufufu~of course, Mukuro-nii-sama."

Tsuna's group sweatdropped; the Decimo laughed nervously.

"Ah...I remember the first time Chrome chuckled like that...it scared the sh** out of me..."

An enemy mafia famiglia had injured Tsuna when he was trying to make peace with another famiglia in a meeting.

Chrome wasn't...very happy; her inner demon came out.

Let's just say that Mukuro was very proud of her.

Mukuro and Chrome charged at Mammon, who quickly attacked the two with his illusions.

"Ha! Then the girl's just another illusion! I'll destroy her!"

Chrome twirled her trident, standing in front of Mukuro.

"Cortina Nebbia." (Mist Curtain.)

Chrome deflected all of the illusions as Mukuro placed a hand onto her shoulder.

Viper clicked his tongue as his animal partner shed its frog-skin, turning into some sort of snake-like creature.

The flame chains around Mammon's pacifier fell off, causing it to glow brightly as Fantasma bit its tail and started to spin rapidly.

"Uroboros!"

Demon-like snakes surrounded Mammon as he directed them to attack Mukuro and Chrome.

The two Mists held their hands together as Mist flames surrounded them.

"Genjuu Mugaia." (Intensely Real Illusion Beasts: Corpse-eating Crows.)

Gigantic crows appeared, armor adorning them as they slashed through Mammon's illusions; a cut appeared on the Mist Arcobaleno's face, causing him to gasp in surprise when he felt blood trickle down his cheek.

"...Real...illusions!?"

Mukuro chuckled eerily as he dispersed the crows; Chrome suddenly appeared behind Viper.

"And now for the end, Chrome."

"Hai, Mukuro-nii-sama."

Both of them stabbed their tridents into the ground.

"Regno di Nebbia." (Realm of Mist.)

Mammon nearly screeched in pain at the sudden pressure in his head; he fainted.

All of the illusions disappeared; Chrome woke up in the laser cage.

Mukuro chuckled as he accepted the half Mist-ring from the Cervello's shocked grasp.

"We won~! Kufufufu~!"

The Varia looked at Mukuro with disbelief, including Colonello.

"...They beat an Arcobaleno, kora..."

Reborn smirked as the infrared lasers deactivated.

Xanxus growled and threw his bottle of wine to the side; Viper was missing.

"Tch. That piece of sh** ran away."

With that, the Varia disappeared in a cloud of smoke once more.

The Cervello also left, leaving Tsuna's group alone.

Mukuro walked up to Tsuna and ruffled the shorter's hair; Chrome smiled as she stood by Tsuna's side.

"Kufufufu~it seems that your plan worked, Tsunayoshi-kun."

Tsuna grinned before pouting, swatting at the other's hands.

"Stop making fun of my height!"

Mukuro chuckled once more before giving a small hug to Chrome.

"Good work, Sorellina." (Little sister.)

The purplenette blushed slightly before smiling brightly.

"Arigatou, Mukuro-nii-sama."
