I looked at the child, and he was odd, but what Malice had said made sense, mortal children aren't normally quiet, unless their mutes, but this kids not one like the others

I tilted my head as I stepped out from the door way, I eyed him as he looked down

I saw something flicker beside him and heard him mumbling things, but I didn't hear what he was saying, but i found it odd

"who are you talking to?" i questioned, Shadow hit me and i glared at him "what was that for" i glared at him

"no one" he replied quietly and as if he was scared

"because your annoying" he replied, but i only looked at the kid

"Eclipse, Malice, I'm taking Shadow with me, because we need to get food and water, since we're low on supplies" I caught on to Mephilie's lie, we didn't need mortal food or water, but we had to make the child think we were mortal, not something otherwise

"so we watch him while you go out, should be easy" i shrugged

"yeah sure, bye" Shadow said as he dressed himself in his dark clothes

"wait which room did you put him in?" Malice asked , i looked at the child, i hope Mephilies Plan works and we don't end up getting killed because of this

"the end room, the one i was going to put him in felt wrong" Shadow muttered

"wrong?" I mumbled to myself

eventually they left and i was alone with a demon and a mortal, but i couldn't shake the feeling someone else was here, following one of us, it made me uneasy to feel this presence, but it went away as i saw something flicker next to the boy, but this wall all my imagination right? right?

"So uhh now what?" I asked

Malice rolled his eyes as he looked at me, but my ears perked up as i heard whispering and i turned to the small child as did Malice

"Silver...." is what i heard it was quite and barely noticeable

"whos Silver?" i asked, the child seemed to freeze as i asked, but as I looked into his eyes I saw fear and panic

He didn't reply as he looked down quickly, and all I could do was look at him confused, what got him like this?

"Why don't we just go get you settled into your room?" Malice asked, but received no reply and he sighed

But I couldn't stop staring at the child, who was he talking to?

"Come we'll show you to the room Shadow set up for you" I said as I turned to the stairs and began walking up them

Malice waited at the bottom as the boy slowly followed, he was silent as we walked down the hall, we passed one room and i felt the negative emotions pile out of the room, I turned to the boy and his was stiff

"Come on your rooms further down the hall" I said, no wonder Shadow put him in the room he did

but i couldn't shake that feeling something else was following, and it made me weary of what i was doing

he didn't speak as i opened the door to his room at the end of the hall and walked in with him following behind

"Well here we are, umm just make yourself at home i guess" I said as i shrugged as he just stayed quiet "well umm, we'll be downstairs if you need anything..." I said

I began walking away, leaving the door open for him and going downstairs and just let out I breath I didn't know I was holding

"Well that went well didn't it" Malice said as he looked at me
