Raziel POV

"Do you have any more of those chips?" I ask Zorander as we exit the hospital.

Zorander rolls his eyes. "You know I don't have any more because you ate the rest of them in the car," Zorander snarls and I scoff.

"What about that? Let's get food from there!" I say pointing to the large red box on wheels with the delicious smell coming from it.

Zorander looks over to where I'm pointing and shrugs so I assume that he's alright with getting food from there and I start to cross the road.

"You shouldn't cross here. They're traffic rules for a reason," Zorander grumbles.

"But no cars were coming," I reply, confused by what the problem was.

Zorander sighs. "Yes, but it was still J-walk- you know what, never mind."

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion but decide not to ask any further questions. I'll ask my human later what J-walk is.

"What can I get for you today?" The woman selling the food asks in a chirpy voice once we arrive at the metal box that has hotdogs written across it.

"Four hotdogs with everything on them," Zorander mutters.

I watch as the woman puts each hotdog into a sliced bread and then douses it in a lot of liquids and adds some green stuff and some white powder on top. She repeats the process for the other three and I lick my lips in anticipation as I take my two hotdogs from her. I immediately sink my teeth into it and moan at the yummy burst of flavour that explodes in my mouth. Is all human food this good!

Zorander hands the woman some money and tells her to keep the change before we move to sit on a nearby bench. I devour both of my hotdogs contentedly and once I'm finished, I turn and sneakily give the wrappers to the demon who takes them with a questioning look. "Do you always give me your garbage because you don't know what to do with it?" Zorander grunts, narrowing his eyes at me.

I nod before responding. "At home Kai throws out the garbage and I eat with him most of the time so I never really have that much garbage to begin with."

"Come on, I'll show you how to recycle," Zorander drawls and we spend the next few minutes going over which piece of garbage goes into which bin before we resume our places on the bench.

"How much money do I give you for the hotdogs?" I ask the demon, pulling out the things that Kai gave me this morning. One he called a wallet and said that I can use the money in there for smaller purchases and the other is a phone and said that I can use it to contact him and pay for more expensive things.

Zorander takes the wallet from me and whistles when he surveys the contents. "How rich is your human?" He gives it back to me without taking anything.

"I don't know that much about you," I say to Zorander after a moment of silence.

Zorander chuckles and it resonates in the back of his throat. "Not much to tell." I continue to bore holes into the side of his head until he sighs and continues. "I've had countless bonds with demons but none lasted more than a few months. I excel in fighting but would rather not do it. Although I hate inflicting physical torture, I sometimes miss it. In all, I've lived a rather tedious life in hell and a boring one here. You and your human are a nice change of pace," Zorander drawls.

I hum a response, turning to look up at the hospital. I press my hand over the tattoo and hear Kai giggling and talking to who I assume is Declan's mother. I smile, leaning back on the bench and listening to the melodic voice of my human. I don't know how long I sit here listening to my human, but Zorander's sudden voice startles me.

"Are you spying on your human?" Zorander snickers.

"Not spying. But they're almost downstairs. Let's cross the road," I immediately get up and sprint across the road once there's a tiny break in traffic. I hear Zorander grumbling in protest but I ignore him. As soon as I spot Kai's fluffy pink hair, I hurry over and engulf my human in a hug.

"Raz, you missed me that much," Kai says, giggling. I simply squeeze him tighter and he does the same. I release him after a few more seconds to see his beautiful, smiling face.

"Thanks again Kai," Declan says, drawing our attention towards him. "I don't know how I can repay you."

Kai giggles and shakes his head. "Don't be silly, I'm glad I could help!"

Kai gives Declan one of his credit cards and lets him know that he can use it to buy anything he wants or needs. We part ways with them afterwards but not before Kai invites Declan over to play Zombie Panda the day after tomorrow, since tomorrow Declan has detention.

When we finally sit down at the dining room table at home, fully showered and wearing comfy clothes, it is just after eight thirty.

"What do you want for dinner, Raz?" Kai asks, arranging his Spanish books in front of him.

"I had hotdogs from the road with Zorander. They were really good! But we can try new food!" I exclaim happily.

Kai looks puzzled for a split second before he says, "A hotdog cart, okay. I feel like eating curry chicken, do you want to try that?" I nod enthusiastically and Kai orders it on his phone.

I flip through Kai's books. Eternal paradise this is a lot to study! I don't think my human has enough time to study everything. "I speak every language spoken on earth fluently and I can make myself unknown to any human I want, so I could tell you what to write during the test if you don't have enough time to study."

My Kai wasn't able to study with his friends today because I asked him to meet with Declan. He has also given me a place to stay, money, food and his trust. I should do something to help him.

"That would be cheating, silly," Kai responds while giggling. He's right of course but that doesn't mean I won't help him cheat if he wanted me to and his soul is so pure, cheating on some tests isn't enough to taint it. "How about you help me study instead?"

"Anything for my human," I coo and pinch his cheek, causing him to giggle and swat at my hand.

"Raz?" Kai says hesitantly.

I smile and say, "Yes, my sweet human." I watch as my human's face lights up and he flashes me the most gorgeous smile I have ever seen. Though if I'm being honest every smile of his is perfect and the best smile I've ever seen.

"You've called me your human a few times now, did you mean it?" Kai asks, staring deep into my eyes with a hopeful look.

My already wide smile grows. "Of course, you were mine from the moment I officially agreed to be your boyfriend but probably even before that."

"So you won't leave me?" Kai questions, still staring at me with wide eyes.

I move my chair closer to my human's and cup his face. "No. Why would I ever leave you Kai?"

Kai sighs and I see his eyes start to glisten. "Talking to Declan's mom made me miss my mom and she was the person I was closest to. When she died I was pretty much all alone, until you came along. Now you're the person I'm closest to and I just really don't want to lose you."

"I'm not going anywhere Kai. You won't lose me so please don't worry," I reply while pressing light kisses all over my human's face until he smiles and eventually starts giggling.

I pull my human onto my lap and smile when he relaxes in my arm. "Tell me which sections you have to study. We can start while we wait for the food. I will give you kisses every time you get something right and a hickey when you get something wrong."

I still remember how he scolded me for giving him so many of them so this should be good motivation for him. As a plus I get to give him little marks to show that he's mine! Kai shrieks at the mention of the hickeys and pouts adorably. I plant a kiss on his lips before diverting my attention towards his opened Spanish book.

We spend the next few hours studying for Kai's Spanish tests and much to my dismay he only ends up with four new hickeys.
