I know I said it will be the Vegas chapter next, but I ended up writing another one so the Vegas one will be soon.
So without further ado, the chapter-
My eyebrows raised at this and I leaned forward.
"And if I do touch him?" I challenged, trying not to look scared at the threatening look he was giving me.
Aaron pulled my body into his and I gasped at the intimate contact.
"Don't test me, Lexi." He forced out, looking down at the ground with his hair shielding his beautiful face.
I tilted his face up with a finger and looked into his eyes.
"Well, consider yourself already tested, Aaron." I said simply.
Aaron's eyebrow raised in confusion and he didn't talk, waiting for me to clarify. I smirked at him, feeling the hurt bubbling in me.
"Avalon." Aaron moaned into my neck
'Elliot and I have already kissed."
Aaron and Lexi's argument from Aaron's POV

Excitement.
It was a strange feeling for Aaron to feel on a Monday but, try as he might, he couldn't rid of the emotion. Even when he thought of the history assignment he had failed to complete over the weekend, his lips stilled quirked up into a smile as he placed his bag into the locker.
Mason was beside him, speaking about something or the other, but he couldn't concentration. How could he even muster the strength to focus when all he could think of was Lexi's warm lips on his just last night, her doe eyes filled with a need for him. The very thought of her expression made his heart rage in his chest, the control snapping away bit by bit. The feel of wanting her was so potent that he didn't even spare a thought to waking up alone. He had been slightly drunk the night before, albeit unknowingly and could only remember the feel of her skin against his. It was all he needed to remember and all he could care for.
She had probably left due to her own unfamiliarity with those types of situations and he didn't mind one bit. If she wanted it, he'd wait till she was ready, even if it meant waiting an eternity. He'd follow her lead and take it slow, for once.
"Is he talking about our Alexis?" Mason's words finally made it through to Aaron and he snapped to attention, turning to where he saw the back of a brown-haired boy.
"Yeah, Alexis Dawson, that's the one. We went out to eat a few days back." The boy's voice was smug and oddly familiar, but Aaron couldn't seem to connect where he had heard it before; not when his blood was pumping in his ears and hands clenching into fists.
His Lexi at dinner with another man?
He couldn't bear the thought, whether it was true or not. The mere image of it was sending him wild and Mason watched him curiously as he listened on as the brown-haired boy spoke to an unfamiliar scrawny male.
"But isn't she Walker's girl?" The scrawny boy asked in response, unbeknownst to the fact that the subject of conversation was merely standing a few steps away, hidden by a pillar. The brown-haired boy laughed at this, almost cockily before pulling his smaller counterpart in by his shoulder jovially.
"Didn't seem to matter to her, did it? What did I tell you, huh? She's gonna be one easy fuck; give me a week." He laughed out, making Mason tense beside him.
"Aaron.. " He said warningly, but Aaron drowned it out because all he could focus on was red.
A blazing, unmerciful red.
It consumed him as he lurched forward before grabbing the laughing boy by the collar and bringing him barrelling to the ground, making passing students exclaim in surprise. The boy tried to defend himself feebly, by throwing blind swings, but it was nothing in front of Aaron's raging anger.
He had easily overpowered the boy and he felt an excitement fill him as he brought down fist after fist. The red liquid that oozed from his opponent fuelled him even further and he couldn't find the will to stop. He didn't know what it was that angered him more- the boy beneath him insulting Lexi or his words being true.
He thought of Lexi's look of need for him yesterday and then imagined her sharing that with someone else. It made him constrict with unbridled fury and his fists came down faster.
At one point, he recognised that it was Elliot beneath him- the one who had slept with Avalon. It only made his hits rougher: this man had ruined his past but he wouldn't ruin his future. He was slowly losing everything, but Lexi was his to keep. She was his thread of sanity; she would choose him.
Wouldn't she?
He could only smile as Elliott let out a loud scream, his nose cracking under Aaron’s punches. It was a noise he savoured, so much so that he had drowned out the student's chanting.
He even chose to drown at the familiar soft voice, calling out for him to stop. He wouldn't let up until he felt satisfied. So, when a small hand pulled at his arm, he ignored it, continuing to enjoy his onslaught against Elliot. That was all that mattered right now.
Yet, it seemed his luck would run out as he felt two stronger pair of hands, pulling him away as he struggled against them. He knew it was Justin and Danny, but he couldn't focus on them when he could see Elliot raising to his elbows. He had insulted Lexi, he shouldn't get away this easy. It was this thought that made him lunge towards Elliot, eyes blazing with rage. He was quickly caught by Justin, but that didn't douse the fire within him.
"I'm gonna kill him! I'm gonna fucking kill him!" His chest heaved as he spoke, meaning every word. He knew that Justin knew that which is probably why he shoved him into familiar warmth.
Vanilla.
Her soft scent consumed him, angering and calming him simultaneously. She was both the reasons for keeping him in control and making him wild.
His Lexi. Only his and his alone. He'd go insane otherwise.
"Take him away from here. The principal will definitely be here any minute now and Aaron cannot be suspended again. He'll be gone for good this time." Justin spoke sparing one concerned look towards Aaron before turning to usher the crowd away. Aaron knew he was right, so he allowed himself to be pulled away, but his mind kept replaying Elliot's words, making his blood pump yet again.
"What exactly was that?" Her voice broke through the heated haze and he turned to finally look at her, his insides twisting with one look into her beautiful, brown eyes. It only reminded him of the words spoken about her and he turned away from her, pacing in bid to distract his mind.
"He deserved it. You should have seen all the fucking disgusting things he was saying about you." His hands clenched by his side as he spoke, pacing faster. He had to do something else to distract himself or he was going to go back out and finish what he had started. His hands twitched by his side now, the urge growing with every waking moment.
"What did he sa-"
He couldn't even let her finish as he lifted the desk, throwing it in a bid to vent some of the growing anger. It was the only alternative to going outside, but it did nothing to diffuse the rage and he huffed, turning back to Lexi.
"Talking about how defiling you was going to be easier than he thought." It took everything in him to force out the sentence and keep his composure simultaneously. His hands tightened into fists by his side as he tried to fight the urges, but Lexi's next words would only cause him to spiral further.
"Aaron, calm down." Was all she could say in response as though he was the issue at hand; as though Elliot's words had been true. The notion was too much to bear and he moved close to her in response, needing the reassurance of her warmth. She wouldn't do that. Not her.
"How can you be so calm knowing what he said about you?" He held his paranoia at bay, but the anger was brewing now, especially when she responded with such a blank look.
Then, she shoved him away with all the energy she could muster.
He felt the shock hit him hard as she stared at him angrily. It only reinforced his fears from before- that there was some truth to Elliot's words- and his world stopped spinning right then.
"Because him saying it doesn't make it so! I don't need you handling my matters! I think I'll be able to keep away from Elliot if I wished to, without your help!" She said, making his heart halt. With those simple words, she showed him how she viewed him in her life. He was nothing but an agreement and, now, he was imposing on her. With her words, he realised how little she thought of him and it broke him. He couldn't think straight from then, his anger took the reins then and he felt another urge: the urge to hurt her as much as she was hurting him.
He scoffed, trying to hide the hurt.
"Yeah, I'm sure you'll control yourself." He didn't regret it even when she looked at him in shock. He knew he might regret it later, it was never his intention to upset her but- right now- he was acting on his anger.
"What are you trying to say exactly, Aaron?" She asked and Aaron wondered how she was able to stay so composed after last night. Here he was, wanting to know what would become of them, but she felt no such thing. Perhaps the reason she had left before he woke up was because she didn't feel the same way and, again, the hurt coursed through him, fuelling him all the more.
"Oh, don't act so innocent. You seemed so eager to agree to being my 'girlfriend'. Why was that?" He retorted, a malicious look on his face. He hated how this was so easy for her. He wanted her to say she agreed for him; to reassure his aching hear, but she merely glared.
"I had my reasons to agree so quickly!" Was her vague response and he despised the ambiguity. Why couldn't she agreed for him and then his insecurities would disappear.
He laughed in frustration; his hands flailing at all he wanted to say and all he could say.
"Yeah and what reasons were they?" He urged yet again. He needed something from her. She only needed to give him one signal and he'd be hers. That was all.
Please, Lexi.
"Because!" Was all she shouted back and he felt the anger rise at her vagueness again, moving closer in frustration.
"Because what!" He asked and she groaned in response.
"Because I wanted to help you, you jerk!" She began before glaring harder at him.
"And, besides, I can control myself very fine, thank you!'" She finished, looking at him with such hate; so differently to the way he remembered her eyes looking at him last night.
He couldn't help but smile bitterly, a bout of misery filling him.
"Yeah. We did that really well enough last night." He bit out. He hadn't meant to bring up last night, but he needed to know it wasn't all a pretense. She couldn't fake that look, could she?
She closed her eyes shut at this as though it was tedious to even reply.
"That was a mistake. It won't happen again, I assure you." She spoke steadily.
Silence.
In that moment, he felt the last piece of sanity crumble away. He had thought that, at the very least, Lexi would be the only happiness he'd be allowed to have, but he was wrong. She was hell-bent on leaving him too. After all the losses he had faced, this was one he couldn't take. He wouldn't lose her; he couldn't. Even if it meant forcing her by his side, he'd do it, under the pretext of the agreement. One way or another, Lexi would be with him.
"Regardless, I don't want you anywhere near him." He finalised more to himself. He said it half out of wanting to protect her and half out of wanting to placate his jealous heart.
Her eyes widened at his words, but he couldn't find himself feeling any remorse at his words. The jealousy had consumed him at this point, igniting every cell in his body to attack.
"You can't tell me what to do! I can do whatever I want, including talk to Elliot! And, I don't need your permission!" Her words confirmed that she knew of him which meant that Elliot's words had held some truth and he couldn't control his body as he edged closer to her, until they were a finger's distance.
They were so close that, if he reached down slightly, his lips would touch hers and he fought the urge. Despite wanting to stake claim over her like an animal, he knew he couldn't force himself on her. It hurt enough to know that she didn't want him; it would only hurt more to take her will. Yet he couldn't control his mouth as he spoke, giving her leeway into his dark thoughts.
"Don't say his name like that, Lexi. You don't know how it makes me feel." He told her the truth this time, wanting her to know how much she was hurting him. But, she merely rolled her eyes in response, hurting him further. He knew she was slipping from his fingertips now and he knew he had to keep her by any means necessary.
"You cannot touch him because I won't let you." He said simply, not knowing what else to do now that he knew he had no value in her life. She wouldn't listen if he implored her nor if he confessed, so all he could do was assert control and hope it worked. He had assumed she would gape at him in shock yet again, but instead she raised her eyebrow at him, almost in challenge.
"And if I do touch him?" His heart thudded loudly as she spoke the foreign words. His haughty pretense fell away then as he reached for her, needing her touch to know she was still within his reach. She let out an all familiar gasp as his body touched against hers: a gasp that did wondrous things to his heart.
"Don't test me, Lexi." He couldn't even look at her or else she'd catch all the emotions he was feeling. He wasn't threatening her; he was pleading. If she wanted, he'd get on his knees and beg her to be all his. He'd do it without hesitation or embarrassment.
He felt the warmth of her finger as she raised his face to look at him. The look in her eyes scared him in ways he couldn't explain.
"Well, consider yourself already tested, Aaron." Was all she said but it was enough to rip his heart in half. All he could do was wait for her to clarify and then she smirked in a way he didn't recognise.
'Elliot and I have already kissed."
