Notice:I have not put "new" in the title,as I did with Gruvia.This means my opinions have not changed.Since I believe my first opinion was not detailed enough and I wasn't that far into the series back then,I'm giving a more in depth explanation to why I do not like this ship.
Now onto the rant.

The reason why I don't really ship NaLu,is because I feel like if Mashima wanted them to be together,he would've made them together.

Because as much as we antis hate to admit it,Natsu and Lucy do have their moments.No matter if they do come from Natsu saving Lucy or not,I'm mature enough to admit that they have good moments together,and that they do care for each other.

But the thing I don't like,is when their moments consist of Lucy being in an uncomfortable situation.

For example,in the Alvarez arc,when one of the spriggan 12 tried to torture natsu,he tried doing it by having Lucy stripped naked,and making Natsu look.In a unexpected turn,Natsu wasn't phased,saying "Lucy dresses like this all the time."Now I don't know about you,but no matter how I dress,I wouldn't want to be stripped naked,and have people look at me,friend or not.

In the another arc,on multiple occasions,Natsu is shown groping Lucy.Whether on accident or on purpose,that is not ok.I'm sure that you,male or female,wouldn't like being groped inappropriately.I've been sexually harassed before,and it's not "cute",or "sexy",or anything.And it's horrible.No one should have to experience something like that.It's degrading,and it makes you feel dirty.And for Lucy,it happens so many times that I actually want to start crying.Because I know how she feels and I know how it feels to be violated.And I see some people say she deserves it because of the clothes she wears.Do you know how many rape victims didn't get justice,because they were dressed a certain way.People claim she (or he) was "begging for it",because "their top was open","their underwear was showing",or because "they were a prostitute so it's ok".

NO MATTER HOW YOU DRESS,SEXUAL ASSAULT IS NOT OK!IT DOES NOT MATTER IT THEIR BOOBS ARE HANGING OUT OF THEIR SHIRTS, OR IF THEIR SKIRTS ARE TOO SHORT!NO ONE WANTS TO BE ASSAULTED.

And Natsu has shown respect for other women.In the tartoros arc,when Natsu and Lisanna were captured and naked,Natsu looked away when Lisanna asked her.Natsu was hesitant to wash Erza's back,even though they've been bathing together for years.He has been shown to hold respect for people and their feelings,but when it comes to Lucy,it's as if her feelings doesn't exist.

He breaks into her house on multiple occasions,even when she's sleeping or taking a shower.Once again:This.Is.Not.Ok.I don't care if the rest of team Natsu does this too,how would you feel if you wake up,and people are in your house –uninvited– and were using your resources,and going through your things.Again,it's degrading.No one wants that.

And I hate to say this,but the fans are another reason.I know,I know.Such an overused and dumb reason.Yes,I understand it's the same thing as saying "I don't like chocolate because the people who eat chocolate is mean",but hear me out.

NaLu is by far the most popular ship in this fandom,meaning it is everywhere.It is talked about by mostly everyone,and there is a bunch of stories and fan art out here for it.But for me,and others,when you see something over,and over,and over again,you get pretty tired of it,and it becomes boring.But because this ship is so popular,most of the fans are so corrupted,and blinded by this ship.If you don't like this ship some –NOT ALL– (I have to say this because I know some of you will comment "Well I'm not like that.") of the fans,will yell at you.They will try to troll and degrade you because of you different opinions.And because of that,it kind of ruins all chances of people liking the ship.It makes some believe that if one person is like that,then the others must be like that as well.And then we start to resent the ship,because that ship is the cause of them getting harassed.Now that was just a What If situation.Not saying this is the case between all antis.

Now going back to what I said at the beginning.I've stated "If Mashima wanted them to be together,he would've done it by now."What I mean by this is,Mashima had so many chances to make this ship canon.Heck,he could've made it canon after the GMG arc,seeing as Lucy was a new comer before that,and the Tenrou arc.He also could've made it canon at the Oracion Seis arc –more or less–.But through this whole manga,he didn't.He just kept their relationship solely platonic,with no sort of romantic feelings being shown towards each other (as much as some people hate to admit).And with only a couple chapters left,if he does decide to make this ship canon,it'll be a real crappy ending for both characters.Mashima would have to make up for all the time that these to have been just friends.He would have to squeeze some quick feelings in,and it'll wouldn't be executed well no matter how much he tried.
