Chapter Three
The raven made her feel safe and calm. Katy lays down on the bed and couldn't sleep when she tried. She got up and walked out of her room. Katy's chest started getting worse and worse so she went to the woods. She made sure to wake up her parents. Katy walked to the woods and walked around the area. This made her feel better and her body didn't fight her anymore. This was something she didn't understand. What was wrong with her? She walked to a lake and then sat by the waterfall.
"There's that raven again," Katy said to herself.
The raven flew around Katy and sat on top of a tree. Katy lay down against the rock and fell asleep. Katy suddenly felt a cold hand touch her cheek. Katy slowly opened her eyes and saw Merla crouching down. She was looking at Katy's eyes and smiled when Katy woke up.
"Merla?" Katy asked still waking up.
"Hey, Katy!" Merla uttered with a smile.
"How long was I out?" Katy asked as she yawned.
"For about an hour. You should be heading home my dear," Merla signed with worry.
"Your right. See you later Merla!" Katy mentioned as she walked back home.
As Katy got home she opened the door and carefully closed it. She walked through the hallway and opened her door. Then as she closed her door she walked to her bed and fell asleep. Her pain didn't come back till she woke up again but it only got worse. Although it was the summer Katy knew something was wrong with her, but her parents wouldn't say anything to her. Why wouldn't they tell her? She's their daughter and they should have told her right?
"Katy dear wake up," James whispered trying to wake her up.
Katy woke up and smiled. James told Katy that they were going to see a movie soon and she had to get ready. Katy was very excited and she remembered to take her medication before she left the house. It was to help calm down the pain for a few hours when she was in public. Katy finished getting ready and started drawing in her sketchbook.
Katy drew ravens and fantasy things. She was happy about her drawing and she hoped one day she could sell them. Jess came out to the living room and smiled. She rubbed Katy's hair and sat next to her.
"You ready to go to the movies?" Jess asked with excitement.
"Mhm, What movie are we seeing?" Katy asked with curiosity.
"The Villain Star," Jess chuckled as she grinned.
Katy's face lit up with pure excitement she wanted to see that movie for a while. It was a fantasy movie which was something Katy loved. Her imagination never faded away nor gave up on her. Jess was happy that Katy can still be herself and be in her own world. Even though her condition, she won't tell her to not make her scared about her life.
They all got to the car and made their way to the movie theater. They got inside and Katy got Prezles with M&M's. Her parents got popcorn and pizza. They got to their seats and Katy was hyped to see this movie.
One Hour After The Movie
Katy fell in love with the movie and she wouldn't stop talking about it. Jess and James laughed about how much she remembered about the movie. They got dinner and once they got back in the car Katy passed out in the bed seat. She had a long day after all and she was tired. Jess smiled as she saw her asleep. She noticed Katy holding her chest and looked to be in pain again.
Once they got home James unbuckled Katy and picked her up. He put her in her bed and closed her door. He smiled and yawned. He was happy that his daughter had a great time today.
