Alone in the darkness
If I cried, who would know?
Inside I’m broken
Deep within my soul

Tears and rage fill my days
Nightly I cut
These are just the ways
I deal with this but
The darkness surrounds me
It's just not enough
I need to be free
I need to be loved

They say though it’s rough
I should stand tall and strong
Head unbowed and never give up
They say cutting’s wrong
But my legs are sliced up

That’s how I stay sane
I scream and I curse
Controlling the pain
By making it worse.
