The car came to a stop as Taehyung turned the engine off, unlocking his seatbelt as he looked outside the window and sighed. They had just arrived at his place, luckily before the snowfall got heavier as snowflakes were already falling from the sky making the atmosphere colder.

He diverted his gaze towards the side where Jennie was peacefully sleeping while hugging his arm, a small smile made its way to his lips as he brushed her hair away from her face since it was blocking him from seeing her features. His hand automatically went to her cheek as he softly caressed it and released a deep breath. He was debating whether he should wake her up or wait for a few more minutes, she looked too peaceful to disturb.

She slightly moved because of his touch on her skin, eventually she opened her eyes without him having to wake her up.

"Are we here?" - She asked in her sleepy voice and sat up properly before turning to look at him.

"Yes, we arrived just now. Let's get inside before the snowfall gets heavier." - Her eyes shifted outside when he mentioned 'snowfall' and her eyes lit up when she caught a glimpse of the lovely weather outside.

"The first snowfall of winter." - She lowly mumbled, remembering something as she sighed and looked back at him.

"I didn't see snowfall alone this year." - Her eyes shined from happiness and he immediately understood why it looked like she could cry any moment now.

"This is the beginning of a new life, I'll make sure to have all your dreams come true." - She widely smiled and opened her arms, wanting him to hug her which he did as he carried her onto his lap before wrapping his arms around her small body.

Jennie circled her arms around his neck, hiding her face in the crook of his neck as she inhaled his surprisingly calming scent. It felt safe to be in his arms, his embrace was her most favorite place. Warm, safe and welcoming.

"Should we just stay here?" - He joked making her chuckle as she pulled away to look into his eyes, wanting to say something but she couldn't say it in words. The feeling she was having wasn't something to be expressed in words.

"Overwhelmed?" - He asked, clearly noticing her unexplainable emotion.

"Something like that.. Nothing feels real." - He nodded and pecked her forehead.

"Let's go inside, there's someone I want you to meet." - She tilted her head, someone who?

Without saying anything further, he opened the car door as Jennie hopped off his lap and stood outside of the car before he came out as well. He went towards the trunk of the car and opened it, taking the suitcases out before closing it again as he intertwined his hand with Jennie's and walked towards the front porch.

His house was the biggest out of the few in the neighborhood, not to forget it was a small town somewhere outside Seoul. The lights of his house were already on and it made Jennie wonder if it was one of his family members. Didn't he say he lived alone?

The lock of the door clicked as Taehyung pulled the keys back out and pushed it wide open, he looked over to Jennie and gestured her to walk inside. She hesitantly went inside and looked around his house, it was clean and spacious but there wasn't a sign of another human being.

"Here, change your shoes." - He snapped her out of her thoughts as she looked back at him and nodded, taking her shoes off as she wore the slippers he gave her.

"Is someone here?" - She finally asked, her curiosity wasn't helping her.

"That's right. I think she's asleep in her room." - Jennie figured it was a female since he referred to her as 'she'. His sister? Mother?

He changed his shoes as well before stepping inside as he dragged the suitcases along with him, Jennie closed the door and walked behind him while observing the interior of his place.

"Do you want to sleep?" - She shook her head, she had slept enough in the car.

"You should rest, I've slept already." - He shrugged his shoulders and groaned because of his stiff shoulders.

"But I want to sleep with you." - Jennie mentally cursed herself for taking his sentence in the wrong direction as she coughed, trying to hide the way she got flustered for no reason.

"Yeah.. yeah sure." - He raised his eyebrow, confused by her behavior.

"What are you thinking?" - She innocently scratched her neck and shook her head.

"Nothing. I think I'm going insane."

Taehyung was already asleep, snuggled up against her neck while she was massaging his head. She ran her hand through his fluffy hair and sighed before placing her head on top of his. He was in a peaceful and deep slumber indicating how tired he was. Jennie on the other hand was lost in her own thoughts, not being able to sleep because she had taken a nap in the car.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard the door of his room knock, her eyes shifted between the door and his face multiple times before she carefully tried to break free from his hold but failed. He stirred upon feeling her move, groaning as he opened his eyes sleepily making her feel guilty.

"Sorry. The door knocked so I wanted to check." - She apologized making him shake his head as he sat up.

"I'll check." - He rubbed his eyes and slowly got off the bed, making his way towards the door before he opened it.

"Oppa!"

A young voice rang in her ears, she only saw a short silhouette of a girl standing in front of Taehyung and it only confused her more when she hugged him.

"Where's she?!" - She spoke again, not letting the man say anything as she peeked over his shoulder. Her eyes meeting Jennie's and she immediately pushed Taehyung aside and entered the room.

"Hey hey! Easy." - He warned her while Jennie confusedly stared at the teen girl in front of her. Her orbs shifted towards Taehyung who was just smiling.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Kim Haerim."
