•✧ TAEHYUNG'S POV ✧•

A sharp breath left his mouth, his mind was occupied with a lot of thoughts that it became hard for him to even sleep peacefully. And now here he was, at his terrace to take a fresh breath of air to clear his mind.

This was clearly something new for him, something surprising and hard to take in. Why was it so hard for him to believe her feelings? It wasn't like he didn't know what type of a person she was. She was different. Someone utterly special to him but he didn't know why and when she won that place near his heart. He was confused, why would someone love a cold and selfish person like him? Just, why did she decide to give her heart to him? Wasn't she afraid, that he would break her fragile heart and return it to her in pieces?

He had a lot of questions, which only she had answers for. But he knew he fucked up earlier, why didn't he just explain his side? Was it so damn hard for him to say even just a single sentence? His silence hurt her and he knew that himself. But what he, himself didn't know was what stopped him from opening up about his past. It wasn't like he was the wrong one, he was the victim not the wrong.

In reality, it wasn't his past that held him back from expressing his feelings. It was that stupid girl thrown at him by his parents, they didn't care for him their entire life so why now? How could they just decide the most important thing of his life by themselves? It felt ridiculous but he was helpless. His heart kept telling him to obey his parents just because they gave life to him. But whatever his heart was saying was wrong, he was raised by his grandmother not mother. It was his grandma he told his secrets to, she knew him better than anyone else. He didn't have to obey whatever they said, right?

"Son?" - He snapped out of his thoughts when someone lovingly called his name. Turning his head he took a look at the person, his eyes slowly widening as he forgot to blink. Was he seeing things?

"N.. nana?" - He called out to his grandmother, who seemed to be just in front of him. Smiling at him with her entire heart.

"My son, stop caring about others." - She asked as if she could see through him, his eyes watered.

"I don't want to hurt her, Nana. But I don't know why I can't seem to speak for myself." - She sighed, coming closer as she patted his head.

"Don't worry. She's not angry at you, just a little hurt that you chose to stay quiet instead of explaining. So, talk to her before it's too late." - He nodded his head, gulping the knot that had formed in his throat.

"I love you a lot, my son. I don't like seeing you upset. So come on, go to her. She's waiting for you.." - His vision got blurry because of his tears. By the time he rubbed them to see clearly, she wasn't there anymore.

"Nana? Don't go... " - His voice broke, his emotions taking over as he didn't care if someone was watching him.

Her words rang inside his mind like an echo, his hands clenching onto the glass railing of the terrace as he looked down. Rethinking about the decisions he made.

"It's about time I fix my life."

"Jennie, how could you hide this from us!" - Somi yelled, making Juda and Jennie cover their ears.

"Fucking calm down! What's the big deal?" - Jennie growled, irritated by her roommate's reaction.

"What's the big deal? Dude- how are you so calm about this? You guys literally kissed multiple times-" - She was cut off when Juda slammed her hand on her mouth, knowing if she didn't stop Jennie might start crying.

"Watch your mouth, Somi. Why are you reacting like that?" - Juda glared at her while Jennie kept staring at an empty space, zoning out because of overthinking.

"Okay sorry. But what's up with you telling us now? Did something happen?" - She gulped, her throat drying up just by thinking of what happened earlier. She slowly nodded, wanting to cry.

"Go on, tell us." - Juda sat beside her, keeping her hands on Jennie's shoulders as she comforted her.

"I love him." - She hesitated, Somi softly sighing upon hearing her innocent words.

"Then what's the problem? Doesn't he love you back?" - Jennie hid her face in the palms of her hand, keeping her knees close to her chest.

"His silence was more hurtful then rejection." - She spoke as she put her hands down, tears coming out of her eyes.

"Aish, this girl. It's so visible that this is your first love. He didn't say he loves you but he also didn't say he doesn't. Think positively." - She sighed and suddenly flinched when the door of her dorm hung open.

Juda and Somi jolted up from their seat upon seeing him, while Jennie stayed seated. Staring at him with her puffy cat eyes that made him shake his head at her cute angry state.

"Get up, we need to talk." - He said but she didn't budge. Ignoring him but her eyes still stuck on his figure. Her friends nudged her as well but it was as if she was frozen.

"I said something, little one." - Somi side-eyed Juda with one eyebrow raised, a small smirk breaking out on her lips.

"I guess you want some help." - He spoke, stepping closer to her as she almost moved back but he had already picked her up in his arms.

She aggressively moved in his hold, trying to get down as she punched his chest multiple times but he didn't mind it. What could a feather-light human possibly do to him?

"Leave me alone! Put me down, you sick jerk!" - Juda's mouth fell open hearing her friend's daring words while Somi almost choked at the next thing she heard.

"This jerk should teach you a lesson, I guess."
