Jennie, Somi and Juda were in their dorm as they didn't have anything to do. Jennie had a slight fever so she was resting with her eyes closed but she wasn't sleeping. Suddenly, the speakers in the corridors went off catching their attention.

"Good afternoon Cadets, the training and classes for today were cancelled because of the return of our Commanders from their mission. Except Commander Kim Taehyung no one else was injured, although Commander Kim is feeling fine at the moment so there's no need to worry. As for the reason for this announcement, there's good news for everyone. A water festival will be held tomorrow just like previous years. You're allowed to wear anything you want but it's better to wear a swimsuit. The festival starts around 3 PM at the outdoor pool so remember to reach on time to catch up with the fun games. See you tomorrow cadets!" - The announcement ended making all the LCs jump from excitement.

Jennie's eyes widened as she sat up, staring at her roommates in shock while they did a high-five.

"Oh, this is gonna be so much fun!" - Somi exclaimed, already daydreaming about all the fun things she was gonna do.

"But what are we gonna wear?" - Jennie's question caught them off guard as they stared at her in disbelief.

"Swimwear obviously, is that even a question?" - Said Juda making her facepalm herself.

"But I don't have any!" - She whined making Somi chuckle.

"That's not something to worry about when you have me." - She flipped her hair while Jennie gave her a thumbs up with a smile on her face.

The three of them were busy talking when they suddenly flinched as the door of their dorm burst open. They stared at the person in shock while he drifted his gaze towards towards Jennie.

"Are you LC Jennie??" - He asked making the other two look at each other in confusion.

"I am. Don't you know how to knock?" - She raised her eyebrow at the solider making him divert his eyes to Juda who gave him the same look. He nervously scratched his neck.

"Oh, sorry about that I'm in a hurry. You need to come with me miss, someone came to meet you from your family." - He explained making her frown.

"What? I don't have anyone left in my family." - She asked while he shrugged his shoulders and walked out leaving her wondering who it could be.

Jennie turned her face towards Somi as she signaled her to go and check who came. She nodded and got down from her bed as she wore her shoes before going outside. She spotted the Soldier walking down the hallway so she immediately followed him and reached the main office.

Her steps halted in front of the door as she suddenly had a weird thought.

" It can't be her, right? " - Jennie whispered to herself and sighed.

Whoever it was, she needed to head inside to know their identity. It could be anyone, but the word
'family' only led her thoughts to one person and she didn't want to face that woman again. To her, she was already a stranger.

"Miss, come inside." - She snapped out of her thoughts and took a deep breath before stepping forward inside the room.

As soon as her eyes met with the anonymous being, tears welled up inside her eyes threatening to fall down. Her face turned emotionless, even though she was holding back a lot more than she ever could. She despised seeing that face, the hate she had built towards that specific person was unbeatable. Maybe it was the same as the amount of love she had for her father. But she wasn't sure as she had a sudden urge to hug her but she couldn't.

"Nini-" - The woman finally spoke in a low tone but was immediately cut off by Jennie.

"Don't call me that, I hate it." - Her voice almost broke but she kept herself strong.

"You used to love that name. What changed?" - Guilt was visible in her voice, but the brunette girl refused to believe it.

"You're seriously asking me that? Do you not fucking know what changed?! I can't even call you mom anymore because it makes me regret. Regret being born as your daughter." - A tear slid down her mother's face while she remained emotionless.

"I'm sorry." - She softly whispered making Jennie finally break down as her tears flowed out as well.

"What are you sorry for? It's me who's sorry. I'm sorry for being a burden on you for 16 years." - The atmosphere became tensed as they were both left alone in the room. The soldier had already left.

"Don't say that, nini. I had my reasons." - Jennie went silent. She didn't know what to say anymore.

"There can't be a reason for you to leave me and dad." - Her voice cracked.

"Your dad knew. He was going to tell you on your 18th birthday but who knew he would leave this soon." - Jennie closed her eyes, taking everything that her mother was saying as made up stories.

"I know you don't believe me, so I have something for you." - She spoke taking a diary out of her bag while she opened her eyes again.

"I'm sure you remember this." - Jennie blankly stared at the diary, memories flashing inside her mind.

"I.. I thought we lost that." - Her mother shook her head with a sad smile.

"I had it all these years. Your father told me to write in this just like how we used to do before. It's about time you read everything that's ever been written in here. So, keep it." - She extended her arm and handed the diary to her, she slowly took it from her and stared at it.

"I'm not sure if you will forgive me but, at least I tried. I hope to hear you call me Mom again. Take care my love." - She smiled and walked out of the office while Jennie stood there, caressing the diary with glistening eyes.

She had always wondered what secrets this mysterious dairy held. The diary her father used to write in on every new year when her mother was still there with them. She had no absolute idea since when he had stopped writing in it, she was in fact surprised to see it again.

"If you can fix the relationship between me and my mom, I'll be glad."

"I'm not wearing this, it's revealing too much and I'm not used to-" - Somi placed a finger on Jennie's lips as she shushed her.

"Shh! You look absolutely amazing okay? Have some confidence. Juda! Come and look at her." - Jennie stared at her body in the mirror. Although her curves were perfect she was still insecure.

Juda came out of the bathroom after changing and her mouth immediately hung open when she saw her friend in a two piece swimsuit.

"Oh. My. God. Look at these perfect curves! Dude you did not tell me you were this perfect." - Jennie's face turned red due to embarrassment, her roommates were slowly boosting her confidence.

"Okay okay. Stop flattering me." - She chuckled and sighed, heading towards her desk to grab a scrunchie.

"By the way. I didn't ask last night but, who came to meet you?" - She stopped her movements, remembering what happened.

"Just.. someone. Should we head outside now?" - Juda stared at her. She could see the sadness on her face and she knew who came to meet her.

"Sure. Let's go."

Her eyes scanned the area that was already filled with both male and female Cadets as she softly sighed, maybe she could refresh her mind like this. There were different stalls of food and drinks, the poolside was decorated with balloons and some other things as it looked like a pool party. People were already seated at the tables in groups as they were playing board games and having fun.

A lot of Commanders and Soldiers were present there as well but her eyes only searched for one specific person and that person was nowhere to be seen. Her lips automatically formed a slight pout as she thought he probably won't come since he's injured.

"Dude, this looks so much fun. Should we get a drink and sit by the pool?" - Said Juda as the girls nodded and went towards the drinks stall.

After getting their juices, they went towards the pool and sat on the edge of it as they dipped their feet in it. The water was a little cold, it was winter already but the day was very sunny and everyone was feeling warmth instead. There were some girls inside the pool already, they were playing games.

"Wanna go for a swim?" - Somi suggested but Jennie immediately shook her head in denial.

"I already have a fever. I don't wanna get sick." - The girls shrugged their shoulders and suddenly jumped in the pool, pulling their roommate with themselves.

"Ah- Somi, I told you not to do that!" - She shouted while wiping her face, Juda and Somi started laughing and splashing the water on her making her giggle as she did the same.

Jennie was having fun just like the other Cadets, she was feeling the sense of being important to her friends and it made her feel good. Although she wasn't as chaotic and extroverted like them, she was able to blend with them well as they knew how to keep her involved with the activities they were doing.

While she was giggling and playing around, she didn't notice that someone was staring at her from afar with a mischievous smile plastered on his face.

"Commander Kim is here!" - A girl shouted making Jennie's attention divert towards his direction as she caught him already staring at her with a mysterious look on his face.

She froze in her spot, blood rushing up her cheeks as she completely forgot about her surroundings. He was looking extremely breath-taking making her gulp her own saliva. She immediately looked away with a red face as she noticed why he was staring at her, she shouldn't have agreed to wear this swimsuit in the first place.

“I'm having a headache guys. I'll go back now.” - She stuttered, feeling his intense gaze piercing through her soul.

"But we just came." - Said Juda, watching Jennie swimming back to the edge as she climbed back up and shook her head like a puppy to dry her hair a little bit.

"It's okay. The festival doesn't end till 6 PM, I'll come back after some time." - She assured them and smiled before standing up as her eyes went to his figure again.

He was surrounded by girls but he didn't seem to give a fuck about them as he kept staring at her making her feel nervous.

Was she not looking good?

Random thoughts circulated her mind as she hurried to walk back to the dormitory so she could change her outfit. But before she could leave, he called her name.

"LC Jennie! Aren't you going to ask me how I am?" - He smirked wider when he saw her eyes widen from surprise. She gulped and turned around as she took small steps towards him.

"O-oh, sorry sir. I didn't see you there. Are you feeling okay?" - She stuttered again, closing her hands in a tight fist as her heart was racing by every second, his eyes roamed her body making her feel naked in front of him. He didn't even care if someone saw him checking her out.

"I'm.. good. What about you? Why are you so red? Do you have a fever?" - He showered her with questions as she heavily exhaled and nodded.

"Just a slight fever, I think." - His smirk dropped and she knew this was going to happen. He hates seeing her sick.

"I see. You can go back and rest if you want." - He was glaring at her now and she was looking everywhere except his eyes.

"Ah, y-yes. Have a nice day, Commander." - She bowed and turned around, praying in her heart so he wouldn't follow her because that's the last thing she wanted at this moment.

Jennie was taking quick steps as she had already reached the garden area and was about to walk further when a deep voice stopped her from behind. Chills ran down her spine as she mentally cursed herself for being a slow walker even though she was walking fast.

"Stop right there." - She stopped, her steps halted as she felt herself being glued to the ground because she couldn't move even if she wanted to.

He slowly walked up to her, her back was facing him as she didn't dare to turn around. Taehyung smirked again, acknowledging the effect he had on her. As soon as he reached her side, he grabbed her arm and pulled it making her turn around as she almost stumbled. Her hands landed on his naked chest, she gulped again when her eyes met his scary ones.

"Who gave you the permission to wear such outfit, princess?" - Words got stuck in her throat, she couldn't speak even if she wanted to.

"N-no o-one." - Her voice came out as low as a whisper and she gasped when he slid his uninjured arm around her exposed waist. Shivers ran down her body once again as her heart almost stopped because of his touch. What was he doing to her?

"Hmm.. did you wear this for someone?" - He whispered in his raspy voice as she widened her eyes and shook her head.

"No! I-i didn't wear it for anyone. S-somi made me wear it." - She defended herself, not wanting to imagine what type of things he was planning for her.

"Why do you have a fever? On top of that, you decided to swim in the cold water?" - She lowered her gaze, biting her lower lip as she stayed silent. She didn't want to say the reason of her fever.

"Speak up, little one." - He slightly raised his voice, not to scold her but instead he wanted to know the reason of her being so careless.

"I.. wanted to meet you that n-night but it was raining. You were still unconscious so I s-stayed outside." - His gaze softened even more when he heard her stuttering and explaining herself.

Her eyes were glistening with tears that were threatening to fall down. She didn't like being scolded by him and her being an emotional fool, she always ended up crying.

"Your health comes first before anything else, got it? Even if I'm dying you don't have to stand in the rain for me. I'm not that special-" - She cut him off as she hit his chest with her fist as she glared at him.

"You are special to me! You're the only one I have now why can't you understand that? I don't like seeing you in pain!" - Tears streamed down her cheeks as she yelled at him while continuously hitting his chest, he stared at her in shock.

"You.. you always scold me, I don't like it-" - He cut her off when he kissed her soft lips, her movement completely stopped as she gripped his unbuttoned shirt.

She shut her eyes close and expected him to devour her lips harshly but he didn't even move. He was waiting to see what she would do if he didn't move his lips first, and to his surprise she kissed him. Maybe she wasn't aware of his thoughts but she definitely knew how to make him satisfied. He smiled between the kiss and finally kissed her back.

The kiss was soft and comforting, she was slowly melting in his embrace as her tensed muscles became loosened. She was feeling thousands of butterflies in her stomach as he was gently caressing her waist. A soft low-toned moan escaped her mouth as the feeling he was giving her became uncontrollable. Only he could ever make her feel like this and she was loving it.

He broke the kiss and stared into her eyes as she felt a sudden adrenaline rushing inside her veins.

"I really want to take revenge on you for making me want you." - He warned in his deep voice, making her redder than she already was.

"What did I do?" - She innocently asked making him chuckle.

"Your outfit was too much to handle already, that satisfied sound you made just now made it worse." - She bit her lip as she rubbed her legs together, he didn't know she was having a harder time than him since she could feel his awakened friend against herself.

"You can't be that clueless, can you?" - He smirked, he knew what she was trying to say.

"I'm not, trust me." - He tucked her hair strand behind her ear and was about to talk further when he froze as she suddenly said something daring.

"Help me please."
