" I'm Commander Kim Taehyung, and I will be your trainer for this year. " - Introduced the arrogant-looking soldier who was way too rude to be in the Military in Jennie's eyes.

His eyes slowly scanned through the cadets as he knew which specific person he was searching for. Her sharp features were unique enough to be stored in his memory although he wasn't the one to give a damn about someone's looks and would forget them easily. He, himself didn't know if it was her actions, attitude or face that had left an impression on him. But whatever it was, he surely didn't want to let her slide for the glare she gave him back at the selection grounds. To him, no one had the rights to show him attitude. Unless he had given them the rights to do so.

His eyes halted as he caught a glance of her face. A small smirk automatically got plastered on his lips when he recognized her as the same daring girl whom he had already set as his target for the year.

Taking a few steps closer, he was now standing right in front of her as she didn't know whether she was supposed to be making an eye contact with him or looking away since it would be rude to do so.

" Everyone will introduce themselves. Starting from you." - He indirectly pointed at her with his eyes as she gulped her saliva before speaking.

" I'm Kim Jennie. I'm 22 years old and- " - She was cut off when he spoke again. Oh, how she wished to pull his hair so bad that he was left bald and wouldn't dare to mess with her again. But obviously she didn't have such power.

" That's enough. I have a list of answers here from the first interview 2 days ago. I will be checking your answers and you will have to tell me the reason of it. Got it? " - He spoke in a rather louder voice as now he was addressing every cadet present in his group.

" Yes sir! " - The goal was to speak together with every other member of the group, but the hopes of leaving a good impression of themselves only got crushed when some of the voices were lower than expected.

" Speak louder! I want to hear every one of you clearly! " - The rage in his voice was unnecessary and disturbing to that one singular girl as the other ones couldn't help but to be head over heels for the breath-taking commander in front of them.

She was dying to curse the hell out of him and on the other side were the rich, pretty girls who thought it would be a good idea to join the Military to find their 'ideal men'. Every single opinion of Jennie was different from theirs and she knew it without them even saying it out loud. It was all crystal clear in the tone of their voices as they felt the useless urge to squeal at the end of every little sentence they spoke.

He had asked every single cadet to introduce themselves but when he stopped after hearing Jennie's name and age, it was clear that he had purposely said that to make her speak up and so that he could be aware of her name specifically. But as the leader of the group, shouldn't he already be aware?

" I have Min Hansung's file here. Cadet Min. You said that you joined the Military because you wanted to become a stronger being. Can you explain further why do you think the Military can make you strong?" - His deep voice was enough to make her body feel chills she wasn't supposed to.

Her eyes were stuck on his tall figure as she couldn't deny the fact that he was indeed the most handsome soldier she had seen in the past 2 days. But when the thoughts of him making her lost came back, her tongue unconsciously poked the inside of her cheek which didn't go unnoticed by the girl's roommate that stood just beside her.

" Great answer." - Spoke the Commander making Jennie come out of her imagination as her eyes wandered around, confused as to when the male cadet had replied to his question.

She was too lost in her thoughts to even notice how she turned a deaf ear to every single sentence that she heard and that only made her realize one thing. She was being too sensitive about his doings for no definite reason.

" Alright, I have one more file here. After this we will start our training." - He announced and took the papers from the junior officer's hand as his eyes scanned through the perfectly written sentences before he looked up again. Actually, looked up at her.

" I have Miss Jennie Kim's file here. Cadet Kim. You said you joined the Military to fulfill a promise you made to your father. Can you explain what this precious promise could possibly be? " - He spoke in a sarcastic way and she swore to God that she heard female sounding chuckles from behind.

His gaze was stuck on her burning red face. She wasn't sure what was making her feel so boiled up, was it him targeting her or was it the way the other girls enjoyed how he was making her feel embarrassed?

" My father's wish was to see me enter the Military. He unfortunately passed away a few years ago, but I still wanted to fulfill his wish so I came here, sir." - She managed to utter a complete sentence as she exhaled heavily afterwards, waiting for him to say something that would embarrass her yet again.

" Hmm, oh. Can you explain why you haven't seen your mother in a long time?" - The urge to punch him wasn't helping her at all as she didn't understood the purpose of him trying to get into her personal life.

It was clearly not normal for commanders or any trainers to get into the personal lives of the cadets they were told to train. He was trying to get her angry and it was all visible to her. Juda, who was standing beside her couldn't help but to acknowledge the fact that Jennie was obviously talking about their now assigned trainer when she asked her about a tall, arrogant soldier. But what had possibly happened that had led him to target her at this point was still unclear to her as she knew Jennie might blow up soon and get herself into trouble by cursing at him.

" I've not seen her in 7 years, sir. The reason is unclear to me as well. But.. I wouldn't want to see her even if she came back. " - Surprised by how calmly she had answered his questions, he couldn't find anything else that could possibly be enough to trigger her and that was when he had finally decided to leave her alone to start the training.

Jennie on the other hand was burning from the inside and only she knew how hard it was so control herself from either breaking down right there or running away from that place. She knew it would be challenging for her as she had already collected herself an enemy by simply bumping into him because of which he had held a grudge against her. It was useless but God knows what went on inside that mysterious mind of his that he was now after a poor soul who just wanted to fulfill the last wish of her late father.

When she thought he was finally going to leave her alone for the rest of the training, she had no idea that it was just the trailer of what he was going to do to make her life a living hell for the rest of the year.

" Alright everyone! Shall we start the training? "
