Chapter 5- the Date

Brooke's Pov
I looked in the bathroom mirror again, and twirled, I still couldn't believe that I was looking at me. A knock on the door brought me out of my thoughts, "hey Brooke, my mom says that you need to hurry up, what's going-" Hayley stopped the second she caught sight of me, " okay why tha hell are you dressed like that?" I blushed lightly, "wait, what time is it?" "It's about 7:40, why?" "I should head downstairs," I smiled softly, she still looked baffled, "Luke! She's dressed up and won't tell me why!" She shouted, "I'm sorry Hayley, but I can't do anything about it, now let her and Ash have their fun," I looked at him shocked, "how do you-" "are you kidding me, the second Ash gets a hot date he tells us," I blushed at be called, hot date, "say what?!" Hayley screamed, "um Hayley sweetie, Lilly is in bed, can you keep it down," "Whatever, but I told you stay away from-" a knock on the door stopped her, "oh hey Ash! Better take your girl before Hayley locks her away," Luke said and grabbed my hand pulling me too the door, I stumbled in the heels, falling forward, I was stopped by someone, " well I didn't think you'd be falling for me yet," I looked up and saw Ash, he smirked down at me, "what?" "I've got a pretty good view from above you~" I blushed embarrassed, and punched him in the shoulder after getting to my feet. "Anyway~ shall we," he smiled, "well I'm setting rules for tonight first," he sighed loudly and dramatically, "of course," he grumbled, "wait what does that mean?!" I said offended, "well no offense meant, but let's face it, you're obviously a virgin who has been in a situation where someone tried something without your consent, so your making sure that doesn't happen again, am I wrong?" I looked away, we made our way to the car, after he started driving I spoke up, "okay, your not wrong, but still I am setting rules," I said sternly, "go ahead," "well first off, no taking me back to your place, no alcohol whatsoever, and no trying to slip a hand under my dress," I said, he nodded, I was surprised, I expected some type of come back, but no, he seemed to understand where I was coming from. It wasn't long until we arrived at {insert good restaurant name} I smiled lightly, "ma'lady," I giggled lightly at his formal behavior, "thank you peasant," I said as if I was a stuck up queen, "table for two please," the waiter nodded and led us to a booth, "I thought you asked for a table?" "Well it is pretty packed tonight-" "hel- Ashy?!" I turned my head to a waitress, "huh? Oh hi Beth," "hey it's great to see you again Ashy~ I was wondering when you would come see me again~" I frowned, "wel-" "um if your our waitress, could you please just take our drink orders, like your supposed to," she looked at me and glared, "okay, what can I get you two?" She said smiling at Ash, okay now this is pissing me off. "I'll have a coke" "I'll have some tea," "okay, coming up!" She squealed and sat our menus down, "so, you know her?" I grumbled, this girl was probably going to do something to my drink, "who? Oh- oh no, listen, me and Beth never happened! Sure she has this obsession with me, but she's a freshman-" "then how is she working?" "I never said she was bright, she's around 17, she got held back alot, but I swear if she does anything tonight, just let me know, okay?" "Whatever," I grabbed a menu and began looking through the menu. After what felt like forever we were calmed down from the 'Beth' incident, and simply enjoying our meal, " so your saying your friend Calum has drank?" "Oh yeah! It was hilarious, he was so drunk, he grabbed my microwave and when we asked what he was doing he said, this is my microwave," I burst into laughter, "here's your refil-whoops!" Just as we were having fun, I had asked for a refill and Beth brought me it, and 'accidentally' tripped pouring the drink on me, even though it was a terrible fake out, "oh my! I'm terribly sorry," I could hear the sarcasm in her voice, "it's fine Beth," I looked at Ashton, a hurt look on my face, "we were leaving anyway," he said and grabbed my hand pulling me over to the pay area. "Here, and I'm sorry it sounded like I didn't care," he said calming me, and handing me his jacket, "thanks Ash," I mumbled, he smiled and opened the car door for me, once we got in he looked for his keys, "um everything okay?" "I can't find my keys," I looked around for them, "I might have left them in the booth, hang on Brooke," he said then got out of the car going back in the restaurant, it had to be a good 20 minutes before I got tired of waiting. I got out of the car and made my way into the restaurant, but as soon as I did, I wish I hadn't, I saw Ash making out with the Beth girl, and he wasn't being forced too, he had his hands on her waist holding her, I felt my heart break, the second I think I meet a nice guy, he stabbed me in the back. I took a step back, but slipped making a loud thud, "B-Brooke! I can-" "don't Ashton, I thought- you know you actually had me thinking that you were a nice guy, but now I see your just like what my cousin says!" I shouted and kicked off the heels, and ran. I didn't know where I was going, I just ran, after about 4 miles I crashed, my legs gave out. I just broke down crying, "Brooke? Is that you?" I looked up and saw Haley, "y-yes," I studdered, "Come on, my boyfriend is parked a bit from here-" "n-no, I just want to go home," I said weakly, "okay, just- what- Ash?" My head snapped up, I looked and saw him, "hey, I'll take her from here," "okay?" He grabbed my hand, I didn't even flinch, at this point I just wanted to go home and drown in self-pity, he pulled me into his car, "okay Brooke please hear me out," I said nothing, "I didn't kiss her, what you saw that was nothing," that made me snap, "nothing? Nothing! You were making out with her! And it sure looked like you were damn enjoying yourself! What? Couldn't get anything from me so you went to the thing that threw herself at you?!" I said tears filling my eyes, "I'll admit, I kissed her back, but still it's just instinct for me, when someone kisses me I kiss them, if it's any consolation, I thought of you while it was happening," I didn't even look at him, "just take me home," "O-okay," he muttered. Once we got back I reached for the handle, but he locked it, "Ash?" I asked timidly, I was suddenly pushed back against the door, with a set of lips on mine, I was scared at first but when I realized he wasn't gonna do anything to bad I started to melt, then he started to pull away, I grabbed his shirt and pulled him into a passion filled kiss, once we had to surface for air I was panting, and slightly wanting more, I allowed my hands to start moving on their own, "stop," I stopped at his words, "as against my rules as what I'm about to say is, we shouldn't be doing this, not right now, I would be taking advantage of you, and Hayley would kill me, so, we'll see each other tomorrow, bye," I got out of his car and blushed at what I just tried to do, "oh! And Brooke, here you might need these," he said and gave me my heels, "thanks Ash," I smiled and kissed him, "see ya!" "Bye~" I smiled, this has been a hectic day, "you are in so much trouble! I can't believe you actually dated Ash!" I sighed, "this is gonna be a long night."
