It's a bit of an odd thing to say, but animating in black and white is far more difficult than with color.

There's more chances for people to find mistakes in blacks, whites, and greys than in rainbows.

The animations would also appear drab and boring if there isn't enough movement.

Also kind of hard to make if I can only work with four shades of grey.
