Yesterday was something I didn't expect at all. From the almost getting hit by a car to having an awkward meet with Sanskar's mother. Well, the moment didn't last long as Sanskar urged that it was getting late and brought me to our bedroom while he went out again to help his mother and stepfather to get settled. He was back in the room after a while and told that we'll talk about it in the morning. Kissing my forehead, and dragging me close to his chest, Sanskar and fell asleep.

In the morning, I woke up in morning, feeling the emptiness beside me. Looks like Sanskar was out for his morning jog and he could be back anytime soon. I dragged myself from the bed and headed to the bathroom to shower. After, being in the shower for more than 20 minutes, I wrapped myself in my robe and came out, wearing my bathroom slippers. Sanskar was already back from his routine jog and he was talking to his mom at the living room. Man, she has woken up early. Crap!! I need to her dressed for office. I rushed into the walk-in closet to pick my outfit of the day. Tired of going through my formals, I took out a red sheath formal solid midi dress, which had three-quarter sleeve. I kept my make up minimal as always and pulled my hair into a normal high ponytail. I finished my today's look with a pearl earrings pair, a pastel drusy pendant necklace and a pair of Steve Madden's red heels. I looked at my watch and came out from the closet, only to see Sanskar exiting the bathroom in his towel.

Sanskar; Good morning, love. Liking what you see?

Ragini: You wish. I'm getting late for work. You can stand like that all day and I would care the least.

Sanskar: Really??? Your eyes are telling a different story, love.

Ragini: What is it?

Sanskar: That I am irresistable.

Ragini: Keep on dreaming.

I threw one of the pillows from the bed towards Sanskar and he catches it. I was about to walk out from the room when he held my hand.

Ragini: What are you doing, Sanskar? We'll get more late for work.

Sanskar: Take the day off, love. We will go somewhere.

Ragini: No can do. I have a meeting with my new clients. I do not want to ghost them. Besides, you mother is here, we couldn't just go anywhere as if we like. Have some respect for the guest, Sanskar.

Sanskar: Yes, Mrs. Maheswari.

Ragini: Really, Sanskar? By the way, do you mother knows about the rumor about us being actually fake.

Sanskar: She don't and I would like to keep it that way.

Ragini: You can't lie to your mother, Sanskar.

Sanskar: I see her as the woman who left my father rather than my mother. Because she never was one for me.

Ragini: I know that she might not be the mother you want but she is you mother and you can't change it. So, why don't you try to mend your relationship with her?

Sanskar: Do you think I never tried? I did and it always wouldn't end well. I know she can be really judgy and I don't mind it being for me. But I would not hear anything against you from her.

Ragini: Sanskar, please don't say that.

Sanskar: No, Ragini. My dad was everything to me and now it's you. I will not tolerate any mean behavior towards you. I will not care who it is, be it my mother as well. I love you so much, Ragini

Ragini: I know and I love you as well. So, why don't you get ready and we will have breakfast. Then you can drop me off at work and pick me up later after lunch and we will go somewhere. Sounds good?

Sanskar: Sure. Anything for you, love.

Damn! Sanskar really does not like his mother and their relationship is very tensed. I am really happy that Sanskar loves me so much that he wouldn't take a word against me and to be honest I was too scared what would his mother actually think about me. But now that I know that her words would not make any difference in Sanskar's love for me, I am feeling more brave. Sanskar then comes out, wearing his grey suit and we walked out from the room once I took my handbag.

When we came out from the room, Sanskar's mother and her husband was sitting at the dining table, having their breakfast. Sanskar and I took our seat while Abigail served us our usual breakfast. The tension in the air was choking me as both me and Sanskar have never been this silent while having our breakfast.

Sanskar's mother / Anupama: So, Sanskar what are your plans today?

Sanskar: Office, meetings, conference. The usual.

Anupama: So, you wouldn't be joining us for lunch? How about you, Ragini?

Sanskar: Actually, we would be having lunch together and you don't even have to bother waiting for us for dinner because we'll be on a date.

Anupama: Sanskar, have some respect for you mother. I came all the way from New York to visit you.

Sanskar: Did I asked you so?

Ragini: Sanskar..... That's enough. We are getting late. Let's go. Bye uncle, aunty.

I took my handbag and grabbed my coat while Sanskar had his. I took his hands in mine and walked to the elevator. Once, we were out from the elevator, at the basement. Sanskar ignited his Audi R8 and off we go for work. Sanskar was driving to my workplace in complete silence and I could see that he is really mad so, I decided to keep quiet and not say anything. In five minutes, we reached my office and I gathered my stuffs and opened the car door when Sanskar placed his hand on my shoulder. He immediately pulled me into his embrace, kissing my temple.

Sanskar: I'm sorry, Ragini.

Ragini: There is nothing for you to be sorry about, Sanskar.

Sanskar: We kinda have a rough morning start I guess.

Ragini: Don't worry about it. We'll end the day well though later. Bye and I love you.

Sanskar: I love you too and will see you later. Around three?

Ragini: Sounds good.

I pecked on his cheek and open the car door and walked into my office building. The day went through quickly and it was already three in no time. I have already informed that I would be leaving early today and my boss don't really as tomorrow is Friday. I was walking out from the elevator at the ground floor when Sanskar messaged me that he is already at the front. I walked to the front and got into the car and I was welcomed with a sweet smile followed by a quick but passionate kiss.

Sanskar: So, what are we doing today?

Ragini: How about first we get ourselves some caffeine? Then we'll go to the beach and later have dinner at your favorite seafood restaurant. Is it okay?

Sanskar: It's perfect.

We stopped at the Starbucks drive thru and got ourselves our coffees before heading to the beach. I suggested that we park our car a little further from the beach so that we could walk there. Once we were at the beach, I took off my heels and held them in my left hand while my right hand was in Sanskar's hand. We stroll through the beach, talking about his childhood and how he was really scared of the salty water when his father brought him here for the first time. Sanskar seemed to be more relaxed than he was in the morning and I was pleased by the change of mood in him. Around eight, both of went to the seafood restaurant for our dinner. Once done eating, we got back to the car and drove to the penthouse. The house was quiet when we reached, maybe his mother and her husband weren't home yet or they be were off to bed early. I changed to my oversized t shirt and shorts as usual before getting the bed, snuggling next to Sanskar and drifting off to sleep while thinking about whatever plans Sanskar made for our weekend together.
