Back story: she became mute when she was 8 years old because of an illness. Misa's parents were murdered. At the age 10 she was living in a foster home until someone would adopt her. She met Yui at the age 13. Yui helped her out of foster care since misa didn't like being Mis-treated  for being mute. Yui gave her a home, Yui is the closes thing she has to a family.
