Summary: Lee Y/n and Kim Namjoon are best friends since childhood till now. Their parents are also best friends. They are one of the best mafias in Korea. Their rival is the second most dangerous mafia. They both live in two mansions with their families and are neighbours. Both are given physical training for protection. Both have a sweet little secret that is both have on crush on each other but don't know about the other's feelings.

Y/n POV

I woke up with most annoying thing in the morning that is my alarm. I took a quick shower and wore simple tee and shorts. I pack my bag and wore sneakers. I came down and breakfast was ready on the table, mom and dad were already sitting and discussing the news like a debate.

"Good morning mom, good morning dad." I greeted and hugged them.

"Good morning y/n." Mom and dad said. I sat and had my breakfast. I bid my bye and left and called Namjoon.

"Hey, where are you?" I asked through the phone.

"In my room." He said.

"Come fast, we have to leave for college." I said.

"Coming." He said and I felt a tap on my shoulder. I flinched at the sudden touch, I looked back and saw namjoon and his car at a distance.

"Yah, you scared me." I said.

"Hahahaha, sorry. Now sit in the car." He said continuing to laugh.

"Stop laughing or else I'll..." I said lacking words.

"Or else what will you do." He asked laughing and laughing and laughing.

"Or else I'll, I'll pinch you." I said while pinching and pulling his cheeks where he has his cute dimples.

"Ok ok sorry. Leave my cheeks, my dimples will be destroyed." He said but didn't leave him and took him to his car.

"Go sit and start driving." I said and left his cheeks. He sat on the driver seat and started the engine, I was going to sit, the car started and he left till a few meters while I had to run behind it. When he stopped, I quickly sat beside him. As I was panting so hard, I could not scold him and decided to keep quiet. We reached the college after sometime. I took my books and went in the class, Namjoon was following me but I had decided to give him silent treatment. I sat on an empty bench, he came and sat next to me.

"Did you complete your homework?" He asked.

"Which homework?" I asked without facing him and in a emotionless voice.

"Maths." He said. Oh no, ourvmaths teacher has done grudges with me. What will I do now. I could only think of way to get out of this situation, it was to copy Namjoon's homework.

"My sweet, genius and handsome bestie, can I copy your homework?" I asked giving him my puppy eyes and a little pout.

"Will I get something?" He asked. This greedy gorilla. First I will copy his homework then show him what he will get.

"Anything you want." I said eager to complete my homework.

"Anything?" He asked to confirm.

"Yes, anything." I said and he gave his book. I copied it as fast as I can and completed it.

This is how their first period went by. Now let's skip time.

It was a exhausting day. Namjoon and I walked to his car.

"Have you started studying?" I asked him as our exams are near.

"Of course, my revision is done 3 times." He said and I was shocked but it's not surprising.

"Yaa-Yaa, of course you have 148 IQ and here I'm with 124 IQ." I said.

"No worries, I will teach you." He said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes, but you have to pay me." He said. He is a greedy gorilla.

"Ok, fine. Whatever you want." I said because he is a very good teacher. He explains something once and I could remember it for a long time while when the teacher's taught I could not understand anything especially in maths.

"Ok, be ready. I will come to your house at 5." He said.

"Ok, done." I said because who wouldn't like to have duo study with their crush. We reached and bid our byes.

At 5 p.m( Namjoon's POV)

I saw the time it was 5 already. I informed my mother and went to
y/n's house. I reached and rang the bell and was welcomed by a maid. I saw y/n's mother and greeted her. She told me y/n was sleeping in her room. I went to her room and knocked on the door a few times but there was no response. So, I opened it, there was no one in the room. I sat on her bed. I heard some unlocking sound from the bathroom. Y/n came out from the bathroom wearing a silk robe. As she saw me she shouted as if she saw a monster and went inside again. She came out wearing pjs.

"How can you come in someone's room without their permission?" She asked trying to act angry.

"I knocked on the door but you did not open it, so I came in an saw no one." I said.

"Useless excuses." She mumbled but I heard her.

"Whatever, forget it and start teaching me." She said and I patted on the bed.

"Come sit and bring your books." I said.

"We will study on the bed?" She asked.

"Yaa, any problem!" I asked.

"Not really, lemme bring the books." She said and bought books and sat on the bed. I started teaching her. Few minutes later aunty came with a tray."

"Oh my kids are so hard working." She said and kept the tray.

"I'll take my leave, call me if you need something." She said and left.

"You said you would give me anything I want." I reminded her and I had already thought what I wanted.

"So what, I'm not giving you anything." She said and I moved closer to her.

"But I will get what I want." I said and moved closer. Now we few centimeters apart.

"Wh-what d-do you wa-want?" She asked while stuttering.

"I want a kiss." I said.

"What??!!" She yelled, she was very shocked. I moved forward in slow-mo to kiss her but before reaching to her I felt her lips on mine. We shared a long kiss. We pulled out due to lack of air.

"I like you, Joon." She said.

"But I love you, y/n." I confessed, I think it's just affection.

"No-no, i love you, Joon." She said and caressed my cheeks.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked.

"Of course, you gorilla." She said.

"Thank you my monkey." I said and she flicked my forehead.

" I don't have a ring now. For now keep this." I said and removed the chain I was wearing and gave it to
Y/n.

"Thank you." She said.

"Now let's study." I said and started teaching her but it was difficult to concentrate.

Many days went by. Many were jealous of this couple. They kept their duo study going on. And their exams went very well.

Time skip to the day after their graduation.

Y/n POV

We had completed our exams and graduated succesfully and as expected Joon had topped. We were sitting in a cafe talking about our future and we decided to inform our parents about our relation. Today our family had planned a dinner for our graduation.

At night during dinner at Y/n's house.

I wore a simple brown dress with checks on it. And put on light lipstick and blush.

I heard a ting that means they came.
Someone knocked on the door, I think it is Joon.

"Come in." I said in a sweet voice. The door opened but it was not Joon but a maid.

"Kims have arrived, please come down fast. Mam called you." She said.

"Ok, I'm coming." I said and we both left together. I saw him and he saw me we stared for few seconds, I did a thumbs up sign to let him know that we are going to tell our parents about us.

"Come, let's have dinner." My father said to them and we went to the dining room. Dad, Joon's father and Joon sat on a side, while mom, aunty and I sat on the other side. He sat parallel to me. The maids served us food and wine and left.

"Let's raise a toast for our new graduates." Uncle said and we clinked our glasses and had a sip. After few minutes mom spoke up.

"We have another reason for this dinner. And we will not force you for it." She said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"We wanted to talk about your marriage." Dad said I was shocked.

"Do you have someone in your life?" Aunty asked.

"I do have." I said.

"What about you, namjoon?" Mom asked him.

"Me too." He said.

"Can you perhaps.......... breakup with them?" Aunty asked.

"No." We both said in unison.

"So, we would like to meet them tommorow." Uncle said.

"Why tommorow? You can meet him now. Joon and I are in a re-relation and there's no-no chance we are breaking up." I said in a cracking voice. And everyone looked shocked and later at each other and started smiling, a very wide smile.

"Now why are you laughing?" Joon asked confused and a bit angry. As he asked everyone stopped smiling.

"We are sorry, you will have to break up." Aunty said.

"No chance. We love each other. I thought you will support me in everything I wanted to do." I said with tears brimming in my eyes threatening to fall because of the thought of living without Joon.

"Hey, don't cry, sorry. We were going to talk about your both wedding." Mom said and hugged me while rubbing my head to calm me.

"You mean my and Joon's wedding?" I asked.

"Yes." Mom said.

"Thank you so much mom, dad, uncle and aunty." I said.

"Let's raise a toast for our soon to be bride and groom." Dad said and rose a toast. This how the dinner went by, we talked about our engagement and wedding after few years. The Kim's left and we also went to our rooms. I was very very very happy. I came in my room and changed. I thought to read a book but then I received a text from Joon.

I was very happy. Today's day was the best day of my life. I thought I would go before he comes and give him surprise.I packed some clothes and power bank in a bag. After few minutes I heard a bell. He is fast, I opened the door and went out. I saw dad opened the door but wasn't very happy to see him and Joon also stayed there and didn't came so, I couldn't see him.

"Y/n, go in your room and don't come down." Mom said.

"But, why?" I said.

"Just go." Was the last thing I heard and I went to my rooms again and continued reading. After sometime I heard a disturbing sound that was a gunshot, I was scared to death. I went out to see what had happened. Dad had gun in hand and 2 men were lying on the floor dead. Then I heard another gunshot sound, this time it had pierced through dad's shoulder. I could not think of anything.

"Go Y/n, go runaway, don't come back." I heard mom said. I went to my room and took the bag I packed for going to meet Joon. I left a note on my study desk for those bloody people 'Karma is a bitch. I will come back.' the note said. I took my phone and kept it in the sweat's pocket. I thought I will go down with the help of the pipe and so I did it. It was going well but as I was going to land, I fell with a loud sound, as I looked up I saw 2 two men ready to fight me( remember they both were given physical training). The first man tried to punch me while I dodged him and held his wrist and twisted his hand and let him down, he fell on the ground. The second man came, he also tried to punch me but I dodged him and kicked him between his legs and ran through the back yard. There were many bodyguards standing outside our house. I skipped them and went to Kims to inform them but their house was surrounded as well. I ran from to the bus stop and sat on the benches, I called Joon hoping he will receive the call and thank fully he did but no one spoke, I just heard some noise some whincing noises and gunshots. I could not take it so I cut the call and took a train to Busan where my mother's sister lives. I reached there and her everything that happened, she told me that her son was leaving for America tonight and I should leave with him. Now I was not in the senses to take any decision on my own, so I agreed with her. Thankfully, I had my Visa and passport with me. She gave some money and told me to live with her son and find a job as I already graduated. Suga(aunty's son) and I left for the airport.

Few years later

Now Y/n has a job and a good friendly boss and also sweet co workers. She has her own house and her neighbour is her bestfriend. Suga lives few miles away. Her neighbour is a police, his name is Park Jimin. He is very cute and handsome. Her life is going quite even now. But the only uneven thing is her love,Joon. And little does she knows her best friend has a crush on her.

Y/n POV

Today Jimin and I are going to watch a movie and then a dinner date, a friendly dinner date. I could not decide what to wear. After so much time of little thinking I decide to wear something casual.

I called as it was 7:30 already, the movie was gonna start at 8:15. I asked him if he was ready and yes he was. I kept my wallet and house key in my purse. I came out and locked my house's door. I knocked on his door, he was looking awesomely cute, he wore a plain while celine tee and green jacket with black striped pants.

"You look really cute." I complimented him.

"You look very beautiful." He also complimented and I blushed at his compliment

"Thanks." I said.

"Let's go." He said showing his car key.

"Yaa, let's go." I said and we went to his car. We sat and he turned on music. We started to vibe with the song 'I'm Not Cool' and then few TXT songs and then we reached the nearest mall. We reached there at 8:09 and we rushed to the PVR and we reached there on time.

After the movie

The movie was very interesting with a wonderful plot twist. I enjoyed it a lot. Now it was time for dinner, I was excited as he told it was a surprise.

"Are you excited?" He asked.

"Soooo much." I said spreading my hand wide and he giggled. We went to his car and sat inside it.

"I want it to be a surprise so please put this blindfold on." He said and gave me a blindfold.

"Hmm." I said and wore it. He started the car and some music but not the music we played before, he played some romantic k-drama's OST. I didn't say anything because the OST's were of my favourite dramas. Then the car stopped.

"I'll get off and open the door for you. Ok?" He asked.

"Ok." I said. He opened the door and took of my seat belt leaning forward, I almost kissed him on his cheeks.

"Hold my hands." He said and took my hands in his hands, I could feel his cute little fingers and he took me somewhere.

"Remove your blindfold." He said and I removed it and the view infront of me bought me in awe.

"You didn't like it?" He asked in disappointment.

"No No No. I love it, I love it very much. Thank you so much Jimin." I said and hugged him tightly.

"No problem, let's eat." He said. We went to table, sat and started eating while talking. After we finished eating, we were going to leave.

"Y/n, I want to tell you something." He told.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I know we are becoming better friends than we have been. Y/n, I do have feelings for you and they are getting stronger day by day. And it kinda scares me that our relation won't be the same after this confession. I don't want to screw up what we have, whatever it is and I have fallen for you pretty hard like very very hard. I won't force you to return these feelings. I just want to let these feelings out as I could not control anymore. I just want to let you know that I love you, i love you very much. I request you that if you don't have the same feelings, don't let our friendship effect." He said and my face was filled with tears. He then looked up.

"Don't cry, I won't force you." He said and wiped the tears.

"Please say something." Jimin said.

"I appreciate your feelings, I really appreciate it. I am stuck with feelings for my first love. I don't want to ruin our friendship, can we keep it the way it was?" I said.

"Yes, we can." He said.

"I am so sorry, Jimin. I love you but as a friend. Though as a friend but you are the most important person in my life. And I want us to be together till death separates us. I love you with all my heart. I am sorry." I said with tears and he hugged me.

"It's fine Y/n, I happy we can be together even after this." He said.

"Let's go home." He said and we went to the car. He started the car and also songs by GOT7. While jamming to the songs we reached home. We got outside the car as Jimin parked the car. As we reached the door to our house, I hugged him.

"Thank you Jimin." I said and broke the hug.

"No worries." He said and started to check his pockets.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I can't find my keys." He said in tensed voice.

"Oh. You can stay overnight today." I said.

"Are you sure about it?" He asked.

"I am pretty sure. Come." I said and opened the door. I kept my bag on the shoe rack.

"I will change and come." I said and went to change. I changed and when I came, Jimin was sleeping while sitting. I woke him up.

"Jimin Jimin wake up. " I told him and he woke up.

"Come let's sleep in bedroom." I said and he nodded. We entered my room.

"Jimin are you comfortable in these clothes?" I asked.

"Actually, I'm not." He said.

"Would you like to sleep in a robe? I know it's weird but I don't have clothes for you." I said.

"Fine, it's better than sleeping in this." He said and I gave him a robe. He went in the bathroom and changed. He came out and went to the sofa.

"Jimin, you can sleep on the bed." I said.

"No, I will adjust."

"I know you won't be able to sleep well. Even I can't sleep on it." I said.

"Are you sure?" He asked and I nodded. He came and slept beside me.

"Won't you keep pillows in between?" He asked.

"I know, you won't do something." I said and he nodded and turned to the other side. I felt really bad rejecting him. I could not sleep because of the memories of my worst night.

"Jimin, are you asleep?" I asked.

"No. Would you like to talk?" He asked and I nodded. He turned to me.

"You share everything with me." He said. I told him everything about what had happened that night and he consoled me very well.

"I would like to help you, find you first love." He said.

"Really?" I asked and he nodded.

"I hope you feel light now." He said.

"Yes. Thank you Jimin." I said.

"Ok, now lets sleep." He said and laid down. How will he find Joon when I don't even know that is alive or not. If he is alive, he must be there in Korea while we are here. I was lost in my thoughts when I fell asleep.

In the morning

I woke up and saw Jimin was not there, then I checked the time, it was 11 a.m. I got up and went to shower. I changed into my favourite oversized hoodie and shorts. I went yo the kitchen and saw a note on the fridge.

'Good morning Y/n.
Thanks for letting me stay
overnight.
I am going to get the extra key
I had in my cabin's draw.
I will help you. Fighting'

My neighbour is the sweetest person. I made pancakes for 'brunch'. I finished eating and made some for Jimin. I topped it with chocolate syrup and strawberries. I took the plate and went to his house. I knocked on his door but to my surprise his door was already open, he is so careless. I went in and kept the plate on his table. I waiting for him while looking at the photo frames. He came out wearing a towel around his waist and water dripping off his hairs. When he noticed me, he crossed his hands around his chest. He went to his room. After sometime he came out wearing a white tee and black shorts.

"I bought pancakes for you." I said.

"With chocolate syrup and strawberries?" He asked and I nodded. He went to table.

"Thank you." He said and started to eat.

"Mmm, it's tasty. Have you eaten something?" He asked and I nodded.

"Jimin, I wanted to ask you something." I said and he nodded.

"How are you gonna find Joon? I don't even know where he is?" I asked.
