Here's another cheesy poem
Written by another idiotic teen
That doesn't rhyme or sound right at all
But whatever, here we go:
I want to speak my opinion
I want to speak out loud
But I've found it's useless
I've tried to many times now
My words don't reach your ears
It seems they're just too heavy
They fall off my lips and to the ground
To be heard by no one at all
The only response that I can get
Is a "shh" or a "be quiet"
Because when I do speak
I far too loud
You call me quiet
You call me shy
But really
Am I?
I do speak
But no one listens
No one even hears
So here's the conclusion that I've drawn over the years
The reason no one can hear me
Is why I shouldn't speak
My words must simply not be important enough
You might be laughing at me now
'Stupid sensitive girl'
Maybe you're right
If you weren't you might've heard me
You may be crying for me now
'I'm sorry I swear I care'
But if you cared, or think you did,
My words were still silent to you
So this has been a poem
I've written simply because
Maybe this paper will speak for me
And sharpen all your ears
So more people like me speak
Maybe you'll listen to them
