Subhadra POV

Morning I woke up to find Arya sleeping next to me with a small smile on his face. I smiled looking at him and stepped down to get out of the bed when I felt something pull me back. I looked back to find Arya holding my dupatta in his hands while he was asleep.

"Don't worry Arya !" I whispered softly as I pulled my dupatta from his hands. Getting up, I looked outside the chamber to see Hastinapur's army assembled outside Dwarka.

"Why are they here?" I whispered to myself. A maid entered the room who distracted me.

"Princess ! Hastinapur..." she started and I nodded. She left the chamber to inform my brothers about the same.

"What happened?" I heard Arya say as he was getting up.

"Nothing ! The royal members from Hastinapur have arrived at Dwarka" I said. "Let's go and welcome them after refreshing" he said yawning.

"Yes ! You really need to refresh !" I said giggling as I walked out of the chamber. After a quick routine, I ran upto the entrance of Dwarka to welcome them.

I was not able to see my brothers and sister there. Instead, there stood Mamashri Shakuni, Prince Duryodhan, his brother Dushasan and the king of Angdesh, Karn. I gave them a small smile to which they reacted with a small frown. This left me more conscious.

"Greetings Princess !" I heard Angraj say and I immediately greeted him back. I wanted to play around for sometime and looked at Mamashri and the Princes with a nearly blank expression on my face.

"Who are all of you?" I asked them. Prince Duryodhan and his brother looked at each other shockingly while Prince Karn was maintaining his calm expression. Mamashri Shakuni was showing me his evil smile which left me scared.

'Hopefully Mamashri is not plotting against me now !' I thought as I saw Pitamah Bheeshm and Mantri Vidur enter. I greeted them with a small smile. They blessed me and noticed the confused expressions of the trio.

"What happened son?" Pitamah asked Duryodhan who was repeatedly looking at both of us.

"Pitamah ! She has forgotten about us" he shouted. Pitamah lookad at me with utter disbelief and I had to continue the prank.

"Vidur ! I have never heard of this situation occur before" he said. I smiled and jumped up in excitement scaring Prince Dushasan to no end.

"So you are Mantri Vidur ! The most renowned genius in the entire Aryavat" I exclaimed and began clapping my hands like a small child.

He was confused of whether to laugh at my childish behavior or worry about the loss of my memory. Pitamah Bheeshm looked at me mischievously as though he understood my prank.

"Subhadra" I heard Arya call me from behind and I pouted as my plan had flopped.

"Greetings Pitamah !" he said as he took his blessings. Mantri Vidur noticed Arjun's calm behaviour and understood that it was a prank. He smiled at me and blessed Arjun who had bent down to touch his feet. I gave both of them an embarrassed look and smiled.

Arya looked at the expressions of the Princes and his uncle. He was confused and signalled me asking what happened. I noticed their expressions and had a hard time to control my laughter.

"As usual Brother Arjun ! Your dear wife played a prank on them" Brother Nakul said coming from the other end along with the remaining Pandavas and their wife. Arya hugged his brothers while Draupadi sister hugged me tightly. Her pain and fear was evident from her face and her tears.

"I am completely alright sister ! Don't worry !" I said comforting her.

"So that everything is alright, shall we leave?" Mamashri Shakuni said.

"What's the hurry Mamashri ! Stay in Dwarka for sometime. We will all celebrate tomorrow's festival together and then you can leave Dwarka" my brother said entering from behind.

"Festival ?" I questioned.

"Bhadre ! Tomorrow is Holi ! Don't you remember ? Every year we used to empty pots of colours on you" he said winking at Brother Balram. I pouted.

"But this year ! I will do so" I said giggling. All my brothers smiled and soon everyone entered the palace. I was with Draupadi sister in her room telling her about the events that occured in Dwarka during those days.

"Dear ! You're really brave. I am proud of you" she said caressing my hair when I remembered about Holi. I beamed in excitement and looked at her with a mischievous smile.

"I get it ! But how and what's the plan?" she asked me with a smile.

"Let's do it this way !" I explained the plan to her and she nodded with excitement.

"Done ! We will colour the whole Dwarka tomorrow !" she said giving me a hi-fi. I wasn't able to control my excitement for the next day. I slept in Draupadi sister's room as she felt that I would hint Arya about the same.

Narrator's POV

Meanwhile, in the Pandavas' chamber,

Nakul - Bratashri ! Don't you think we need to be the first ones to colour Panchali and Subhadra ?

Bheem - Yes of course !

Arjun - Subhadra is with Panchali in her room. So I am pretty sure they made a plan !

Sahadev - So shall we make one too?

Nakul - Yes ! I already have a plan.

Yudhishtir - Is it required ?

Arjun - Yes brother ! I don't want to lose to them.

Nakul - So here is the plan !

They discussed among themselves and everyone had a smile on their faces.

Arjun (thinking) - I am sure we will succeed !

It was midnight. Both Subhadra and Arjun were not able to sleep due to their excitement. Arjun got up from his bed and went to the corridor to take a small stroll. He looked at the sky and the stars. Smiling at the sky, his eyes moved down to see his wife who was admiring the nightsky.

"What is she doing there at this time?" he thought as he was staring at her.

Subhadra was enjoying the sight. She was swinging and suddenly felt a pair of hands covering her eyes tenderly. She smiled and kept quiet so as to irritate the other person. Arjun was confused and surprised after noticing her behavior.

"Hey what happened? Are you asleep?" he said removing his hands. Subhadra giggled and nodded.

"Oh really ? Then who are you responding to my questions ?" Arjun asked chuckling as he sat on the swing beside her.

"You know it just happens !" Subhadra said like a small kid. Arjun shook his head at her childishness. "Yes yes it happens without your control" he said with a smirk.

"What are you doing here ?" she asked to which he lifted his eyebrows.

"I did not know that only the Princess of Dwarka is allowed to come here !" Arjun said getting up to leave.

"Where are you going ?" Subhadra asked to which Arjun smiled.

"Weren't you the one who asked me what I was doing here ?" he asked.

"Yes ! But I did not ask you to leave from here !" Subhadra said pouting making Arjun smile.

"I can't understand what you want to say ! Are you asking me to stay here with you ?" Arjun asked playfully. Subhadra frowned and giggled at the same time.

"Yes Prince Arjun, the greatest Archer ! Please give me some company" Subhadra said smiling.

"Alright then" he said and sat next to her with a smile.

"I am so happy and contented now ! All the problems have been resolved in Dwarka and there's peace  everywhere" Subhadra said as she gently placed her head on Arjun's shoulder.

"I wish this lasts forever Arya" she said closing her eyes.
