Narrator's POV

Revati was shocked to witness Subhadra crying. Balram immediately entered the room with a worried expression on his face.

"What happened Subhu ?" Revati asked caressing her hair while Balram sat next to Subhadra.

"My head is aching. I feel so confused now. I looks like I remember yet don't remember my past" Subhadra shouted hugging Balram.

"Don't worry dear ! You will be fine" Balram comforted her.

"Where is Arjun?" Balram asked Revati who shook her head. Subhadra clutchedher head with her hands on hearing the name. Both Balram and Revati were clearly confused.

"That name !" Subhadra shouted before she fainted due to exhaustion in Revati's arms. They made Subhadra sleep on the bed and walked out of the room. The minister entered the corridor with a smirk and greeted the duo.

"Your highness ! A spy has arrived at the assembly hall. He says he wants to meet you" the minister said and Balram nodded.

"Revati ! Take care of Subhadra. Stay here in the chamber with her. My intuition says something wrong is going to happen !" Balram said and Revati nodded. Balram left to the assembly hall with the minister.

In the forest:-

Arjun was sitting by a lake in the outskirts of Dwarka. He did not want to return to Hastinapur nor did he want to go to Indraprasth.

"I shouldn't have left her back in Dwarka ! What a wonderful husband am I ?" Arjun whispered to himself sighing. He suddenly heard the noise of an instrument. It was the tune of a flute.

"Madhav !" Arjun said and went towards the direction of the tune with his Gandiv.

In the assembly hall:-

Balram summons the spy to the palace who entered with a grown on his face.

"What's the news ?" he asked to which the spy looked at the minister.

"Go ahead Spy ! Don't be afraid" the minister said in a threatening tone.

"Dear King ! We have received the news of an attack lauched by Jarasandh and Shishupal soon" he said. Balram's colour faded.

"When ?" he asked.

"That's..." the spy started but the minister interrupted him.

"They are planning to attack next week Highness !" he said. Balram nodded and before the spy could say something, the minister quickly dismissed the court.

"Make preparations for the war Minister" Balram said as he walked out of the chamber.

"My plan is working well. As planned, I supplanted Arjun out if the kingdom by using Subhadra. Now, the king is not in a calm state due to the recent happenings and so now I can get things working" he whispered to himself, the evil smirk never leaving his face.

"Now I will have to wait for Jarasandh and Shishupal to arrive to execute my next course of actions" he thought and left to his chamber.

It was night. Balram and Revati were in the dining room while Subhadra was still asleep in the chamber.

In the dining room:-

Revati was serving Balram while he was filling her in with her all that had happened in the day.

He told her about the war and she was shocked. She knew that Jarasandh and Shishupal were known for such wars but she did not prefer the war at that situation.

"Don't worry about it Revati ! Come and sit beside me and have dinner" Balram patted the seat beside him. Revati nodded with a smile. They were about to have their dinner when a soldier ran into the room.

"Your highness ! Jarasandh and Shishupal have launched a sudden attack on us. The Army General has summoned all the soldiers. You too get ready for the war King" he said gasping for breath.

Balram got up and asked Revati to stay safe with the other ladies of the palace. He left the place and Revati moved out of the dining room to meet Subhadra.

She was running in the corridor when she saw the Princess and ladies of the palace running around in confusion. As a Queen, it was her responsibility to keep them safe.

She immediately asked them to accompany her to the secret gateway under the palace. It would lead them to the forests. They all followed her through the corridors.

"Satyabama ! Go and fetch Subhadra too" Revati ordered and Satyabama left to the chamber.

In the warfield:-

The forces of Dwarka were trying their level best to encounter the sudden attack. But the army lacked two important personnel - Kanha and Arjun.

Balram was fighting with all his might. "Oh Kanha, where are you?" he sighed as he saw Jarasandh and Shishupal smirking at him with their swirds drawn. He realised that they were to strike at him simultaneously.

Arjun was walking for a long time but he failed to find the source of the music. It seemed everlasting and omniscient. He was tired. He had reached the city of Dwarka but still he did not find the source.

"Madhav ! I am sure this is your magic", he whispered with a smile. The sound of many cries attracted his attention and he ran upto the top of the hill to see a dreadful war going on.

"Oh Madhav ! Now I realise the reason for your magic" he whispered.

"What will you do now Balram?" Jarasandh laughed at they both stroke simultaneously at Balram who tried his level best to defend the attacks.

Jarasandh tried to hit Balram but he stopped him with both his hands. Shishupal smirked and tried to attack Balram from behind when an arrow created a protective barrier around Balram. They looked up to see Arjun striking arrows at their army.

Satyabama was walking towards the chamber when she found a few soldiers roaming around the palace in the quest for the royal family.

She realized that they were leading towards the chamber to harm Subhadra. She decided to distract them and stood in front of them. They began chasing her and for the time being, Subhadra was safe. The minister noticed what all happened and smiled to himself.

"The family is a blend of sacrifice and commitment ! But I will not let my plan fail" he said as he pulled out his sword and proceeded towards Subhadra's chamber.
