Narrator's POV

Subhadra saw Arjun holding her hands and slowly pulled them back. She looked around to find all of her family members shocked.

"What happened ?" she asked Revati.

"Subhu ! You really don't remember him ?" she asked pointing towards Arjun. Subhadra shook her head and looked at Balram who nodded slightly.

Arjun looked at Balram with tears in his eyes.Balram gave him a reassuring nod but Arjun was not comfortable. He felt alienated.

Revati - Subhadra ! He is your...

"Guest" Arjun finished.

'What ! Is this a plan to get rid of my sister forever, Arjun !' Balram thought as he glanced at Arjun who smiled at Subhadra. Subhadra smiled and greeted him.

"What happened to me brother ? Why did I lose my consciousness ? It was just yesterday that I returned from Kanyakul wasn't it ?" she asked shocking everyone.

The royal doctor looked at Balram and signalled him to nod which he did. Revati took Subhadra along with her to her room while Arjun and Balram went to the royal doctor.

"What is happening, doctor ?" Arjun finally spoke up.

"This is a rare case, Prince. If you are so indulged in a particular thought, it so happens that you forget about it after sometime. No matter how hard you think to remember it" he asked to which Balram nodded.

"This is what has happened with the Princess. She was kidnapped and hence all she thought was about your arrival to save her and so" he stopped not wanting to utter any other words to the Princes.

"But if that's the case, she should forget about her abduction and not about me" Arjun said curiously.

"She has a blow on her head which has made things worse Prince. Because of the wound, she has forgotten you entirely" the doctor said smiling sadly.

"Won't she remember me at all ?" Arjun said sitting on the couch with a thud. Balram looked at the doctor who shook his head.

"There is a high probability of her not regaining her lost memory. But destiny is something which can take hold of this situation and cure her which is next to impossible" the doctor said sighing. Balram was in tears and so was Arjun.

"Is there no other way out brother ?" Arjun asked looking at Balram who was confused. He pulled Arjun into a brotherly hug and patted his back.

"Everything will be alright" he said though frightened at the state of his sister.

"Try to remind her of everything that has happened Arjun. Maybe one small thing which provokes your name can lead you to success" Balram said as he supported Arjun.

"I will try to do so" Arjun said and they both left the chamber to meet Subhadra determined to help her out.

In Revati's room:-

Subhadra searching for her brother's flute while Revati was worried about her. She knew that Subhadra would be alright but this fear gripped her heart of what would happen if she would never regain her memory.

Revati (thinking) - What will Arjun be thinking now ? It will be really sad from his side. But...

Her flow of thoughts were interrupted by Subhadra's shriek. Revati looked up to find Subhadra looking at the mirror. She ran up to her and looked at her reflection.

"What is wrong Subhu ! Everything seems right to me !" Revati said in a relieved tone when Subhadra pointed towards the mirror, her index finger crown housing her head.

"What is this ? Am I married ?" Subhadra asked to which Revati nodded.

"It was just yesterday that I returned from Kanyakul and I clearly do remember that I was a maiden while I went to sleep. How could you get me married when I was asleep without my permission ?" she said gasping.

"You were the one who chose your groom, Subhu ! You got married two weeks ago but due to an accident, you forgot everything" Revati said sobbing.

"To whom ?" Subhadra asked.

"That's okay dear. You will regain your memory soon" Balram said entering the chamber along with Arjun.

"Bratashri..." Subhadra screamed and hugged him tightly.

"Why is all this happening to me ? I remember nothing about my marriage and my husband ! Who is he and where is he ?" Subhadra asked in between her sobs.

"I am here Subhadra" Arjun said and Subhadra looked at him through the corner of her eyes. She did not speak anything but kept looking at him.

"Don't worry Subhadra ! Take your time, I will be patient. I am sure that you will remember me soon" Arjun said smiling.

"What's your name?" Subhadra asked.

Arjun giggled and said "Dhananjay."

"Dhananjay ?" Subhadra repeated.

"What does that mean ?" she asked curiously. Arjun smiled and shook his head. "I don't know. It's just a name I was given by everyone" he said.

"An incomprehensible name" Subhadra said making everyone smile.

"Will you take me to all those places we went together ? I want to see if I can remember something" she said looking at Arjun who nodded. He looked at Balram who nodded and left the room with Subhadra.

Balram - I hope he succeeds.

Revati - He will. Don't worry Kanha will be here soon.

Balram - He is my last hope.

In the minister's room:-

Minister - Everything was going well but this Arjun spoiled it.

Spy - It's fine. Princess Subhadra has lost her memory and so it's a blessing for us. She will not be able to hold Jarasandh and Shishupal responsible for her abduction and we are safe too.

Minister - I agree. Because of her condition, the King has forgotten about her abductors and his focus has shifted towards her well-being.

Spy - What shall we do now ? How do we carry on the task now ? Nothing is going as planned.

Minister - I do have something in mind now. Maybe that's what we have to do now.

Spy - What is it ?

Minister - You will get to know about it soon. As of now, send my message to Jarasandh and Shishupal.

Spy - As you say.

The spy leaves the room and the minister looks out of his chamber to find Arjun and Subhadra walking in the royal garden.

Minister (smirks) - No matter what you do to cure Subhadra, I will always backfire your plans. Let me see if you win or I do !
