Wedding

In Jungkook and Taehyung's minds and hearts it already felt like they were married, it was weird to think that they actually weren't. But all of that was about to change, it was finally the day before they were to become an official married couple and they could not be more thrilled to be able to declare their love in front of their family and friends.

They were getting married in Jungkook's childhood town, in the same venue that his parents were married in. Something about it felt right to the couple, they had always admired the love Jungkook's parents shared and they had done so much for them throughout their relationship this far that it seems fitting they would be married there.

The evening before the wedding Taehyung insisted on staying at the hotel Jimin and Hoseok were staying in, an attempt to be as traditional as possible and not bring any bad luck onto them. Jungkook hated the idea, he hadn't slept without Taehyung by his side for so long that he wasn't sure if he'd be able to fall asleep or not, it also didn't help that Asami kept whining about her other dad not being there. Thankfully his mom was able to get the little girl off to sleep after much persuading, leaving him with fewer things to worry about for the time being as he sits and watches TV with his parents.

"You okay, bun?" Mrs. Jeon asks as she reenters the room.

"Hmm? I'm fine, why?"

"You're pouting." The woman laughs, knowing the exact reason her son was sulking.

"I just miss Tae. It feels weird watching TV without having him snuggled up to me." Jungkook sighs, trying hard to ignore the empty cold space by his side.

"I'm sure he misses you too, Kook. But it's only for the night, just think about how much happier you'll be tomorrow when you get to see him and then marry him." Mr. Jeon throws in some encouragement, happy when he sees his son smile at his words.

Jungkook nods in agreement. After all, one night was nothing, after this day he will have his entire life to spend with the man he loves. "You're right, it's more than worth it," he smiles as he refocuses back on the TV, the previous pout now changed to a smile as he thinks about his future with Taehyung.

Taehyung wakes up bright an early in the morning, granted he didn't have a good night sleep and wearing Jungkook's shirt whilst hugging a pillow wasn't a good enough alternative to the real thing, but that didn't mean he wasn't still excited and ready to head into his wedding day with nothing but a massive smile on his face. He's quick to run into Jimin and Hoseok's room, the two still fast asleep as he pulls the curtains apart and proceeds to wake them up.

"Rise and shine my two bestest friends in the whole entire universe!"

"Why did we allow him to talk us into a conjoining room?" Jimin groans as he wiggles under the covers more, the light burning his eyes.

"Because you love me and you want to help me get ready for the most important day of my life!"

"Why? What's happening today?" Hoseok sarcastically asks as he sits up in bed and rubs his eyes.

"You know what? I'm going to ignore you just asked that. I'm going to go for a shower so you two make sure you don't go back to sleep." Taehyung says with a wide smile as he skips back to his own room.

Hoseok couldn't help but smile at him, seeing his best friend so happy warmed his heart. "Come on, Min. I know you're tired but it's Tae's big day, remember how excited he was for our wedding? We need to show him the same amount of support."

"Wow, guilt trip me into waking up why don't you?" Jimin groans once again, willing himself to not fall back to sleep.

"How about I go and get you some coffee to help you wake up?" Hoseok places a kiss on Jimin's forehead before slipping out of the bed.

"Best husband ever," Jimin answers with a sleepy smile.

Hoseok laughs as he makes his way to the door, the prospect of coffee making him eager to head out. "I know I am," he calls back to the younger as he leaves.

Taehyung sang happily the entire time he was in the shower, not even taking a minute to think about his volume levels at eight in the morning. Nothing could bring his mood down when he was feeling so light and happy, he just wanted to get to the venue and marry the love of his life already. He steps out from the shower feeling refreshed as he runs a warm towel over his skin and then wraps himself in one of the fluffy dressing gowns hanging by the door. He is towel drying his hair when he hears knocks at the door, confusion hitting him since he wasn't expecting anyone to show up at his hotel room, let alone this early.

He curiously leaves the bathroom and walks towards the door, opening it without even looking from the peephole which was probably a bad idea. Strangely, the visitor was just a hotel employee with a cart full of room service that Taehyung definitely didn't order. The man just figures that Jimin and Hoseok put the order in for him and allows the man to bring the food inside, thanking him with a bright smile before he leaves again.

"Chim, did you and Hobi order me room service?" Taehyung asks as he makes his way back through the combining door, happy the see Jimin was still awake.

"Nope. Hobi has gone on a coffee run and I haven't moved. What came?" Jimin raises an eyebrow as he slips out of bed and approaches Taehyung, eager to see what was happening.

"I haven't checked yet, I'm kind of scared to." Taehyung walks back into his own room and towards the food, Jimin following closely behind him as he did so.

"Just look, it's not going to kill you."

Taehyung agrees, it was only food after all he didn't know why he was so cautious of it. He reaches out for the cloche and pulls it up revealing the food underneath. On a plate there was a stack of pancakes with a heart made out of strawberries placed on top, also on the cart was a teapot filled with camomile tea, some maple syrup and a note carefully tucked amongst it.

"'Can't wait to marry you soon, make sure you eat everything and relax. Love, your Kookie'. Just when I think he can't get any more perfect he goes and does something like this, I'm actually about to marry an angel." Taehyung gushes as he smiles down at the note.

"God, you're both so cute you're going to kill me. I swear if Hobi doesn't return with my favourite muffin I'm going to divorce him and steal Jungkook."

"I know you're my best friend and all, but if you do that I will not hesitate to kill you."

"Wow, possessive." Jimin laughs.

Both of them startle when Hoseok bursts into the other room, coffee and bag in hand as he sets everything down to join the others. "You got room service for yourself and not us? Your wedding day has made you selfish."

"Jungkook ordered it for him, isn't that sweet?"

"You two are adorable. You better get stuck in before the tea goes cold." Hoseok laughs as he returns back to his own room, desperately needing to consume the coffee he bought. "Min, I got you a muffin."

"Blueberry?" Jimin asks hopefully.

"Of course, as if I'd get you any other kind."

"Your man is safe, I'll be sticking with my sunshine of a husband." Jimin squeals as he darts back through the door, ready to kiss the hell out of his husband and devour his muffin.

Taehyung can't help but laugh at them, he's happy to have them around on such a special day. With his heart feeling light and his stomach fully empty, he gets stuck into the breakfast before him, more than happy that Jungkook was always thinking about him no matter if they're together or apart.

"Do you think sending him some breakfast was too cliché? I thought it was romantic at the time, and now I'm just wondering if I should've just left him alone to get ready in peace..."

"Kook, it was a perfect gesture. You have to stop panicking so much, you know Tae would love anything you do for him." Jin encourages as he finishes tying a bow into his daughter's hair.

Asami and Hana were dressed cutely in matching pastel pink dresses, a ribbon tied in their hair to match. Both of them were the bridesmaids for the day, a title that made them feel important in the whole event. It was hard to get them to not run around so much in the fear they'll mess up the dresses before the wedding even begun, using the title definitely gave them leverage to convince the girls to sit still and be good for the time being.

"I miss my other daddy," Asami whined for the tenth time that morning, the phrase was cute at first but there's only so many times Jungkook can explain why Taehyung wasn't there before he lost his mind.

"Pancake, you will see your other daddy in less than an hour, okay? There's not long left."

"But I want to see him now!" Asami huffs, acting like a complete brat since she wasn't able to get her way.

"Asami, why don't you run downstairs and see if your grannie needs any help with the flowers? You go with her Hana." Jin urges the two girls out of the room before Jungkook snapped and major damage control is needed.

Jungkook sighs once they're gone, attempting to bring himself back to being happy. "Tae and I really need to stop spoiling her so much, she's such a brat sometimes."

"That's what happens when you love your child, spoiling them becomes a bad habit." Namjoon laughs, knowing he and Jin and the same problem when it came to their own daughter.

"Okay, pushing all thoughts of my daughter acting up out of my mind, filling it with images of my soon to be husband instead." Jungkook breathes in and out a couple of times before he smiles, feeling completely calm again.

"Feeling better?"

"Much." Jungkook grins as he straightens his tie in front of the mirror, making sure all aspects of his suit were completely perfect. He didn't even want to have a hair out of place today, everything had to be perfect.

Both Taehyung and Jungkook couldn't decide who out of their two best friend's should be their best man, so they ended up just choosing them both. To an outsider, it probably seemed obsessive to have four best men, but they really couldn't have pictured it any other way.

Jungkook stood in front a room full of people (some faces he didn't even know since they were distant family that his mom insisted on inviting, apparently sharing the day with his great aunt and all his cousins that he hasn't seen since he was a kid was an important factor), his legs were shaking and his palms felt sweaty as he waited for his groom to arrive.

Taehyung, on the other hand, was approaching the venue feeling like he was floating on a cloud, the excitement practically oozing out of him. His joy only grew as he saw his daughter waiting outside the doors with Mrs. Jeon and Hana, all of them anticipating his arrival.

"Daddy!" Asami squeals, instantly running at the man the second she sees him.

"Aw princess, don't you look beautiful!" Taehyung crouches down in order to hug the girl fully.

"Did you miss me?"

"Of course I missed you. I missed you with all my heart." Taehyung assures her, placing a sweet kiss on her cheek before standing back up straight and making his way to his soon to be mother in law.

"Oh, this must be the famous Hoseok and Jimin that Tae has told me so much about! It's so lovely to finally meet you both." The woman kindly greets the other two, instantly making them feel welcome. "Are you ready? I'm pretty sure my little bun is going to faint if he waits any longer for you."

"I've been ready since the moment he asked me to marry him," Taehyung laughs. Mrs. Jeon smiles before she leads the two little girls inside, leaving Taehyung alone with his best friends.

Taehyung breathes in deeply, trying to clear his head from excitement before he walks in as well, almost squealing out when he sees Jungkook already waiting for him looking like an absolute dream. It felt surreal to finally be walking down the aisle, his gaze fixated on the younger with every step he took, he felt like he had dreamt of the moment so often that he couldn't entirely believe that this was real life. They have to restrain themselves from kissing as soon as they're face to face, the fact they hadn't been together for over twelve hours now was definitely dawning on them.

"I missed you," Taehyung whispers as Jungkook softly takes his hands, throwing him a loving smile as he did so.

"I missed you more," Jungkook whispers back before the officiator starts his speech.

They felt like the only two people in the room as they stood hand in hand and gazed deeply into each other's eyes, the whole experience feeling so sacred to them that they blocked everything else out. The time soon came for them to say their vows, both of them growing nervous now that the moment had arrived.

"I'll let you say yours first since I stole the first proposal." Jungkook jokes, causing Taehyung to giggle sweetly at him and agree.

"I don't even know where to start, but I think it would be wise to start with a thank you. I couldn't thank you enough for all you've given me, I went from having very little in my life to having everything I could have ever dreamt about, and all of that was because of you. From the first moment I saw you in the doorway of my classroom I knew you were special, the way my heart seemed to latch onto you even though I had only seen you for a minute was crazy. I'll never forget the phone call I received from you when you first asked me on a date, how nervous and awkward you were was so adorable I couldn't even have said no if I wanted to. The way we instantly clicked and laughed so hard it made my stomach hurt for days let me know you were definitely the one, the one I was destined to spend my life with. I remember telling Chim and Hobi the next day how I never even knew I could feel so much from just a kiss, but I guess that's just what kissing your soulmate feels like. I never knew life could feel so perfect, from you accepting me into your family to us proposing on exactly the same day in the exact same place, to even now when I'm standing up here with you, my life feels so incredibly perfect. So thank you, Jeon Jungkook. Thank you for being my everything and for giving me my hope back, I couldn't imagine spending my life with a better person than you." Taehyung smiles, glad he was finished speaking since he was beginning to feel choked up from emotions.

The officiator looks to Jungkook to start speaking, the younger too caught up in allowing Taehyung's words to sink in that he completely forgot he had vows to say as well. He takes a deep breath, trying to ignore the lump in his throat as he clears his mind, ready to recite his own speech to the beautiful man in front of him.

"On the night I asked you to be my boyfriend I told you that I truly believed that you were the one to complete my family, and no words have proven truer than those. There's no one more loving, more kind-hearted, and more completely amazing as you are. The way you always know just what to do or just what to say in any situation leaves me in awe of you, you've been my saving grace on so many occasions that I would've completely broken down in if it weren't for you. From the way you wear your adorable pyjamas to bed every night and never fail to cling to me like the softest koala bear, to the way you shower me in kisses after a long day at work, I cannot help but love every single tiny piece of you. Wherever you are feels like home to me and I can't wait to spend a forever with you."

Taehyung has to hold himself back from crying as he steps forward and leans his forehead against Jungkook's, he can feel everyone watching them with big smiles which makes his heart swell in his chest. The moment was perfect, and he couldn't help but bask in the presence of Jungkook whilst the officiator's words turn into incoherent mumbles in his head. Their lips being just a heartbeat away made it hard for them to hold back until the famous line was spoken, neither of them wanting to wait until then. They're broken out of the trance by their best friend's handing over the rings, both of them laughing dazedly as they slid the ring onto the other's finger.

Then, finally, the words 'you may now kiss the groom' were spoken. Both of them didn't even waste half a second before their lips crashed together, feeling like drug addicts that were finally able to get their fix. The cheering and whistles barely register as they kiss the breath from each other, both of them completely full of love since they were finally married.

After they took arguably too many wedding pictures, it was time for them to head to the reception. The couple was overwhelmed with the number of people coming up to them congratulating them and telling them how cute they are together, half of them Taehyung asked Jungkook who there were and just received a confused shrug in response. They were finally able to slip away, looking to get at least a few minutes to themselves before Jennie approaches them.

"Guys! You were my favourite couple before but you're definitely, even more, my favourite couple now. Your baby even kicked during the ceremony so you can tell they were rooting for their parents!" Jennie laughs, her hand rubbing her now decent sized baby bump as she spoke.

"Really? The baby kicked for us? That's adorable!"

"So adorable," Jungkook adds with a smile as his arm curls around Taehyung's waist to bring him closer. "Do you want to meet my parents? My mom has been dying to meet you."

"Of course! I would love to get some pregnancy tips off of the famous mama Jeon," Jennie agrees with a smile, allowing herself to be lead over to the tables Jungkook's parents were at.

As expected, Jennie and Mrs. Jeon got on amazingly well. It wasn't long before she was spilling all the details about when she was carrying Jungkook, thankfully the man had an out when it was announced that it was time for his and Taehyung's first dance.

The minute they wanted alone was pushed aside as Taehyung pulls Jungkook up from his seat and over to the dance floor with a smile, quickly linking his arms around the younger's neck as the latter's hands find a comfortable resting spot on his waist. A beautiful song begins to play as they gently sway, the moment feeling just as perfect as everything else had that day.

"I can't believe I'm married to an angel, I must've saved a whole planet in my previous life." Jungkook whispers.

"Speak for yourself, I must've saved five in order to be married to you."

"I'm so glad you're finally a Jeon." Jungkook laughs as he kisses the elder, firmly but sweetly connecting their lips together.

They're interrupted by a tugging on both of their pant legs, breaking apart to see their daughter looking up at them with sparkling eyes. They both laugh as Jungkook lets go of Taehyung to pick Asami up allowing her to join in with the dance. They knew they wouldn't totally feel complete until the new baby is born, but right now they felt really close to it as they danced together as a perfect family.
