Snow

Winter had well and truly arrived, and a week before school restarted it decided to snow. A thick blanket of snow fell over the whole city turning everything into a magical winter wonderland. Taehyung was the first one to wake up, he was coming back from the bathroom when he saw soft snowflakes falling down through one of the upstairs windows, he had to suppress a squeal at how excited he was. He was never one to be overly excited by snow, usually it just disrupts his whole day and makes it so he has to stay inside by himself all day to avoid the freezing temperatures, but now he has a family to enjoy it with he couldn't be happier.

"Kookie, it's snowing!" Taehyung squealed as he jumped back into bed, causing his boyfriend to groan.

Jungkook pulled the elder back down and rolled him to the side so he could spoon him and fall back to sleep, shushing him gently so he falls to sleep as well.

"Stop being a lazy bum and wake up, it's so pretty outside." Taehyung giggled into the pillow.

"It's cold as well, this bed is nice and warm," Jungkook grumbled as he pulled the blanket over them tighter before snuggling his face into the back of Taehyung's shoulder.

"Fine, we can snuggle until Asami wakes us."

Jungkook says a flat and quiet 'yay' into the back of Taehyung's pyjama shirt before they fall back to sleep. Their sleep was short-lived however, Asami spotted the outside weather much earlier than Jungkook would've liked and came into their room screaming loudly. Jungkook's instinct was to pull the covers up and over their heads to block the noise out which only made the little girl scream louder.

"Pancake, it's very early in the morning, can you please stop screaming," Jungkook begged from under the blanket, only to have it ripped off of him a second later.

"There's snow! There's snow!" Asami jumped on the bed chanting, which only caused both of the men to put pillows over their heads in search of some salvation.

"Come on, we need to build a snowman! Like in my picture!" The little girl said happily.

Jungkook sighed heavily before sitting up, "Okay, okay. I'm awake."

"Tata?"

"He'll wake up soon, let's just go and get started on breakfast."

The little girl nodded before jumping off the bed and running downstairs leaving the two men alone in the room.

"I'll be downstairs. Take your time waking up, beautiful." Jungkook gave Taehyung a small kiss on his temple before leaving the bed and following his daughter downstairs.

Taehyung smiled at the action, he slowly shifted so he was laying on his back and blinked his eyes awake. He cursed himself for falling back to sleep, he knew he'd be way more tired after a small nap, he should've just resisted Jungkook and stayed awake. He sighs slightly as he fights to get himself out of the bed knowing he should probably go down and help make breakfast, his helpful nature screaming at him too. He finally gives in and forces himself out of bed before plodding his way sleepily down to the kitchen.

Once Taehyung reaches there, he see's Asami sitting on the kitchen counter mixing ingredients in a bowl whilst Jungkook stands over the stove flipping a pancake in a frying pan. The younger see's his boyfriend enter the room and gives him a bright smile, motioning for him to sit down at the table where glasses of juice were already placed.

"Pancake wanted pancakes." Jungkook laughed as he turned his attention back to the stove.

"Wow, cannibalism at its finest." Taehyung jokes making the younger laugh even harder.

"What does that mean?" Asami asked, confusion written all over her face.

Taehyung smiled at her sweetly, "It doesn't matter princess. Keep mixing, you're doing a great job."

The little girl nods happily as she carries on mixing up the pancake batter, humming to herself as she does so. Taehyung starts humming along with her and soon all three of them became a chorus of hums, each one of them attempting to out-hum the others.

They were all smiles and laughs as Jungkook placed a plate of delicious pancakes in the middle of the table before helping Asami off the counter. They all munched their food as Asami chatted away about the amount she planned to do in the snow. It never snowed much in Busan so this was the first opportunity she'll ever get to build a snowman, and she's ecstatic that she'll get to build one with her two favourite people.

The second Asami steps into the snow she squeals loudly, albeit it may be cold and the wind was already making her face numb but she couldn't care less. Both Jungkook and Taehyung had made sure she wouldn't freeze, she had her thickest coat on with the longest, woolliest scarf wrapped around her, big fluffy gloves with a hat to match, and boots (with thick socks on inside as well because Taehyung couldn't risk her toes getting cold). The poor girl could barely move, but she was happy that she could feel the cold less harshly.

Taehyung and Jungkook gave each other similar treatment, each wrapping the other up so they were convinced that they wouldn't freeze to death even though they were only venturing as far as the park down the street.

They walked hand in hand as they made their way to the park, Asami placed herself in the middle so both men could help her jump into patches of untouched snow on the ground, giggling happily every time she saw the footprints she caused.

Once they reached the park they let go of the little girl's hands, allowing her to run into a big patch of glistening snow. Asami instantly crouched down to make a snowball before aiming to throw it at Taehyung, Jungkook luckily blocked him just in time so the snow hit him instead.

"My hero." Taehyung dramatically said, giving his boyfriend a peck on the lips to say thank you.

Jungkook flashed him a grin before turning back to his daughter, "Roll up some snow so we can get started on our snowman."

"It's gonna be the bested snowman ever!" Asami cheers before doing what she was instructed to.

Taehyung makes his way over to her to help whilst Jungkook gets to work on rolling up snow for the head.

"Do you think we should make two? Maybe he should have a girlfriend so he won't be lonely once we leave." Taehyung suggested.

"No," Asami states quickly to which Taehyung gives her a questioning look, wondering why she was so against the idea.

"Why not?"

"'Cos he should have a boyfriend instead!" The little girl giggles as she scoops up more snow before packing it onto the base.

Taehyung smiles widely at her statement, his heart completely warm despite the bitingly cold snow beneath him. He continues to work on the base of the snowman as he giggled happily with the little girl beside him.

They work on their snowmen for about an hour, all of them making sure they looked perfect. They used twigs for their arms as well as their noses in an attempt to improvise, Asami also found four perfect stones to use for their eyes and few smaller ones to create mouths. They weren't the most perfect snowmen that they world had ever seen but they sure were unique, and that was better than being perfect.

Their time in the park ended with a snowball fight, Asami and Taehyung teamed up against Jungkook despite the younger's early action to save his boyfriend from the little girl's ambush. Jungkook called Taehyung a traitor as he ran after him, throwing snow all over his jacket as he laughed with joy.

They called it a day once Asami begun to shiver, the temperate dropped as it begun to snow some more making it impossible for them to stay out any longer. It made the little girl sad that they had to end all the fun they were having but Jungkook promised they would watch a Disney movie once they were home and Taehyung made the deal even sweeter by promising to make hot chocolate.

"I hope our snowmen are happy without us, it's sad to leave them behind." Asami pouted as they walked home.

"They have each other, I'm sure they'll be okay." Jungkook reassured her.

As soon as they returned to the house Taehyung made sure to head straight to the kitchen to start the hot chocolates whilst Jungkook and Asami chose the movie and prepared blankets and pillows so they would be comfy and cosy. Asami chose the movie 'Frozen' claiming it fit the theme of the day perfectly and Olaf would remind her of the snowmen they made.

Taehyung walked into the living room with three mugs on a tray, each supporting an overwhelming amount of marshmallows and whipped cream which had Jungkook wondering if there was actually any hot chocolate in the mug. He handed them out before taking his own and getting comfy underneath the blanket, Asami sat on Jungkook's lap as Taehyung snuggled up to his side.

"Today was the most bested day ever," Asami announced happily as she licked some whipped cream off the top of her drink.

"It really was." Taehyung laughed, snuggling closer to his boyfriend if that was even possible.

Jungkook simply hummed and smiled, he wondered if he was actually dreaming because today was definitely the stuff from his dreams, but the slight burn from the mug he was holding proved it was all real. He couldn't believe this was actually his life, and he believed things could only get better from now on.
