The first half of term flies by and Taehyung hasn't been able to do much more than share shy waves and smiles when he happens to catch Jungkook's eye at drop off and pick up times. The kids were all excited as it was the last day of school before they have a week break for half term and to enjoy halloween. By the time the bell rings Taehyung is exhausted, he sighs in relief before putting on a signature box smile and dismissing his class.

"Have fun on your half term break children and don't eat too much candy on halloween night, you might give yourselves a bellyache!" He waves them all off before flopping back down in his chair, as much as he adores his class he's thankful for the breaks.

"I see you're just as tired as I am." Jimin says with a laugh as he enters the others classroom.

"Why do they always have more energy on the day before their breaks? I am exhausted! I don't think I have enough energy to speak to all their parents later." Taehyung buries his head in his hands as he sighs, trying his hardest not to fall asleep on the spot.

"You mean you don't have enough energy to spend a whole 15 minutes alone with Jungkook?" Jimin playfully wiggles his eyebrows.

Taehyung's head shoots up immediately, he completely forgot that one of the parents he would be seeing tonight just so happened to be the man he's been dying to talk to for longer than 5 minutes for an entire month and a half. "We'll be talking about Asami the entire time though, I can't exactly get to know him better." He sighs in realisation, still slightly happy he'll be at least alone with him for the duration of the talk.

"You can woo him with your enthusiasm about his daughter though! He's looking for someone that can be a good coparent to his child, right? Show him that you can be that man."

Taehyung seems to brighten up with Jimin's pep talk, feeling more confident about the encounter. "Yeah, ok, I can do that. Just promise me one thing?"

"What's that?" Jimin asks with confusion.

"Never say 'woo' again, you're 25 not 80." Taehyung laughs earning a slap on his arm from his very annoyed best friend.

"Last time I ever try and give your ass a pep talk." The elder huffs as he makes his way towards the door.

"No Mildred, do not leave me! I thought we would have some tea and discuss strategies on wooing my sweetheart." Taehyung cries out.

Jimin gives him the middle finger before heading back to his own classroom, leaving Taehyung in fits of laughter at his desk.

Jungkook fusses over his hair for the nth time that evening wondering why he's trying so hard. Sure he finds his daughter's teacher attractive but does he need to go through this much effort for a parent's evening? They're just going to discuss how Asami is progressing not go out for their first date. He sighs as he exits his bedroom, seeing his mom in the kitchen cooking some mouth watering food.

"God i'm so pissed I have to leave before eating, that smells so amazing." Jungkook practically drools as he speaks.

"I'll make sure to put some in a container, you can heat it up when you come home sweetie." His mom says as she gives him a light kiss on the cheek. "Now get going, you don't want to be late. Everything will be fine here."

"Thanks mom, i'll see you later." Jungkook smiles as he leaves the kitchen, he heads towards the living room finding his daughter huddled under a blanket on the sofa watching Finding Nemo with wide eyes.

"Daddy's going to your school pancake so Grannie is in charge, be a good girl for her."

"I'm always good!" Asami huffs.

"I know you are." Jungkook smiles as he pecks her forehead.

"I drew this for Tata so he won't miss me next week, can you give it to him for me?" Asami holds out a piece of paper with what appears to be all three of them trick or treating. Asami was drawn wearing a princess dress and tiara holding a pumpkin pot full of candy, Jungkook stood beside her dressed as a knight in shining armour and Taehyung stood on her other side dressed as a prince.

"This is very pretty, angel, I'll make sure he gets it."

Asami nods frantically before turning her full attention back to her movie which makes Jungkook laugh. He heads to the door to grab his jacket and keys before leaving the house, ready to face the prettiest man he's ever laid eyes on.

Jin and Namjoon are just finishing up their talk with Taehyung as Jungkook arrives at the school, he see's all of them talking cheerfully with each other inside the classroom. He leans himself up against the wall opposite to the door before pulling out his phone, laughing at a text from his mom that read 'Asami told me to remind you about her drawing'.

As soon as he pockets his phone the classroom door opens and out walks his two best friends. "Good chat?" He asks them with a smile.

"Very good chat! Apparently Hana is really gifted with maths, I always knew my little girl was a genius." Jin spoke proudly.

"You should go in, you don't want to keep your future husband waiting do you?" Namjoon teasingly says making Jin snicker by his side.

"Very funny guys, I was going in anyway." Jungkook rolls his eyes before knocking twice on the door and then walking inside, leaving the other two to smile suggestively to each other.

"Ah Jungkook, have a seat." Taehyung greets him as soon as he's through the door, he seems to be flicking through some papers as Jungkook takes a seat in front of his desk. "Sorry, I was just finding Asami's progress sheet so you can look at it." he smiles as he places a piece of paper on the desk in front of the younger.

"Gold stars mean something good I'm assuming?" Jungkook asks which makes the other giggle cutely at him.

"Of course! Asami has loads as you can see, she's a very bright young girl. She's been progressing so fast with her reading and writing, she's one of the top students in my class." Taehyung grins widely which is reciprocated by the younger.

The elder goes on listing about all of Asami's achievements in such a small amount of time which amazes Jungkook, he knew his daughter was smart but hearing it from a teacher makes his heart swell with pride, he makes a mental note to buy her a new toy as a reward.

"Wow, I knew my daughter was amazing but not this amazing!" Jungkook says in awe.

Taehyung's heart flutters when he see's the pride that Jungkook has for his child, it makes him proud the be the person who's teaching her. "She really is a special little girl. I can't wait for the next parent's evening, i'm sure i'll have much more great stuff to share with you."

Jungkook thanks Taehyung as he stands up to leave, only remembering Asami's drawing as he is about to open the door. "Oh!" he exclaims loudly, slightly startling the elder.

"Sorry, I just remembered that Asami wanted me to give this to you, she drew it so that you wouldn't miss her over the break." Jungkook laughs as he passes the piece of paper over to Taehyung. "I'll see you later." he says before leaving.

Taehyung unfolds the piece of paper that he was given, his heart practically leaping out of his chest when he sees the little drawings of himself, Jungkook and Asami looking like a complete family. The words 'Happy Halloween Tata!' were carefully written above the drawing and Taehyung swears he's never been so full of love in his life. He makes sure to carefully place the drawing in his bag, reminding himself to place it onto his fridge later as he greets the next parents that walk into the classroom.

That night when Taehyung gets home he realises that he never had a chance to thank Jungkook for giving the drawing to him, so he does one of the most unprofessional things he could think off which was searching his school files for Jungkook's mobile number that he has written down on Asami's form in case of an emergency.
