15. I'm sorry, princess

Nabi tried to hide as far as the glass case allowed. She and Eun had gone out to lunch and to buy presents for Saga and Chin Sun's wedding, and instead were running away from paparazzi.
"Will they ever give up?" Nabi looked anxiously at Eun. "Yes, when we change our men," Eun put her head behind the curtain of the locker room to see if reporters were still looking. "What are we going to do? Call Jin and Juncook?" Nabi suggested. "It's going to get worse, they're after us, because of them" Eun sighed.
"It's too much already, I'm really trying to restrain myself, but I want to go home, for God's sake!" Nabi began to get angry, looking for a possible way out. "What do you suggest we face them?" Eun made a disgusted face and shook her head.
"Eun, we can't stay here forever, it's getting late." Nabi admitted and frowned, and they didn't give up. "Jungcook will worry," she muttered angrily. "Are you seriously worried about him right now?" Eun asked in astonishment. "I'm worried about what he'll do when he finds out we're trapped here." Nabi made a horrified face.
"You're right," Eun grinned. "He's in the habit of being impulsive, isn't he," she winked. "I don't know what you're talking about," Nabi blushed. "We've all been in your place, girl, our men are passion and fire." Eun grinned proudly.
"I have an idea!" Nabi's face glowed. She pulled back the curtain and, under Eun's watchful eye, walked over to the girl behind the counter. "Sorry, is the manager still here?" Nabi smiled sweetly at the girl. "Of course, should I call him?" the clerk asked kindly.
"If you please," Nabi nodded, looking anxiously at the crowd of reporters at the entrance to the store.
"Good evening, I'm the manager, what can I be useful for?" An elderly man approached and bowed to her.Nabi smiled broadly, reached into his purse, and pulled out a black Jungcook's card, brazenly waving it in front of the manager's face.
"My friend and I need help," Nabi nodded to reporters. "If you get rid of them, we'll both spend an incredible amount of money in your store," she winked at him. The manager's gaze immediately flashed greedily, he assured her he would take care of it and headed for the door of his shop.
In just ten minutes, there was no sign of reporters. He and Eun chose a few outfits and left, sent by the happy manager.
"I hope Jungcook doesn't kill me when he finds out how much money I spent today," Nabi sighed. "I doubt he'll notice at all," Eun laughed, and the two parted at the mall entrance.

"Where the hell have you been?" he stopped wandering between the bedroom and the living room and stared at it. He fixed the bags in her hands and raised an eyebrow. "Seriously, is that why I'm late?" he asked sarcastically.
"That's all you've been doing lately," he sighed. "Would you hurry, we're really late," he urged.Nabi tried to hold back her tears, biting her lip. He leaned over the coffee table in the living room, picked up his watch, and fastened it to his wrist. "Nabi, for God's sake, we're really late, will you hurry?" he asked sharply, and bent down to pick up his wallet.
"Is that all I do?" she asked in a trembling voice and dropped the bags on the ground. "Only that???" she raised her voice. Swallowing more tears, she reached into her purse, pulled out his credit card, approached him, and defiantly placed it in his hand.
He stared at her in astonishment, only now noticing that she was upset. "Go to hell, Jeon Jungcook!" she hissed. "And you, and your parties, and shopping for your best friend's wedding!" she could no longer hold back, and tears wet her face freely.
"Go to hell with your damn fame, go to hell and fucking paparazzi?" she shouted. "Everybody go to hell!" she could barely breathe, drowning in fear, resentment, and tears. "Nabi ..." Jungcook tried to hug her.
"Don't touch me! Never again!" she pushed his hand away and ran into the bedroom. Jungcook heard the key turn, but he was too surprised to react immediately.
He heard Nabi's phone ring from the front door. He hesitated, but went and looked at who was ringing. Eun?
"Hello?" he accepted the conversation. "Oh, Jungcook, I'm calling to see if Nabi's home safe and well?" she asked.
"Is she okay?" he frowned. "Yeah, after the incident a while ago, she might have gotten a little more." Eun was silent for a moment. "Jungcook, she's fine, isn't she?" Eun asked nervously.
"What's the matter, Eun?" he recovered and guilt began to gnaw at him.Eun told him about the paparazzi, how they were pressed into the store, and how Nabi got rid of them using his card.
"We barely managed to shop today," she laughed. "I guess the third attempt is really lucky. Journalists are chasing Nabi in the toilet as well," she explained seriously.
"Thanks for the call, Eun, Nabi is fine," he said and hung up.
Jungcook approached the bedroom and knocked. "Foxy?" he called to her gently.
He waited a few minutes, but received no answer. "Honey, open the door," he knocked again.I'm an idiot, he thought. I even scream at her! "Nabi, open the door or I'll break it," he tried to sound calm.Jungcook listened, but heard nothing. "Nabi?" he knocked harder. "Nabi, please open up!" he almost shouted and heard the key.
He opened abruptly and his heart sank. She stood facing him, her eyes almost blank, her whole body trembling. Nabi had wrapped her arms around her shoulders, sweat running down her face and neck.
Her face was as white as canvas, and her lips had almost lost their color. "God! Nabi, baby, I'm sorry!" he hugged her and kissed her temple. She was breathing intermittently, struggling to catch her breath.
Jungcook panicked. Nabi didn't answer, and her breathing became harder and harder. "Honey, answer me," he insisted softly.
"Nabi, please say something! I'm sorry, I didn't know, I'm sorry ..." he shook her gently and she looked at him, just so Jungcook could see her eyes close and she slid into his arms.
"Nabi ..." his voice stuck in his throat. He picked her up and laid her on the bed. Jungcook pulled out his phone and dialed his GP as his gaze anxiously followed her breathing.
After a few phone calls, Dr. Choi picked up and promised to be with them within minutes.

"She had a panic attack," Dr. Choi explained. "It will be fine, but I recommend avoiding stress for a while," he handed Jungcook a recipe. "Let her take this in case it happens again," the doctor bowed and left them alone.
Jungcook sat on the ground and rested his back on the bed. He had treated her terribly again. He turned his head and stared at Nabi, her complexion slowly returning, her breathing normal now.
He sighed and leaned his head back. He stared at the ceiling and the play of shadows disturbed by the lights outside.
Nabi shifted and turned to one side, facing him. He spun around, propped his chin on the bed, and smiled as she pursed her lips. "I'm sorry, princess, it's my fault, and I scolded you," he thought.
