Twilight was woken up by daylight. It was the next day, and today she'd be busy looking for a present to give one of her closest friends. She yawned and got out of bed and prepared herself for the day. The purple alicorn walked to the dining room in her castle, and sat down as breakfast was brought onto the table. Waffles covered in golden syrup. As she started eating, Twilight saw Spike tiredly walk through the door into the room.  

"Morning Spike" Twilight said.

"Morning Twilight" He mumbled in reply.

After Twilight was done, she headed out into Ponyville to find something for Pinkie. There were ponies of all colours roaming the streets and doing whatever. The first place Twilight decided to go to was a party store. Perhaphs she could find something there? 

As she opened the door and went inside, she was greeted by an adult female Earth pony who had a light blue coat, a curly dark purple mane and ocean blue eyes. She also had circular glasses on and her cutie mark was three balloons with streamers. The pony stood behind a counter and smiled as soon as Twilight entered. (This is a fanmade pony).

The walls where a light blue colour and the floor was a normal white smooth one. Items where neatly stacked on shelves where you could easily see them.

"Good morning Twilight! You can call me Mrs.Favor. What may I do for you?"

Mrs.Favor? 

Her name and the fact she works at a party store seemed to remind Twilight of a certain other pony...but she couldn't make out who. Of course, Twilight being the Princess of Friendship, every pony knew who she was, the forth princess of Equestria. So it was pretty obvious why the stores pony knew who she was.

"Hi, I'm just looking around if that's okay." Twilight said.

"Oh, that's fine. Just let me know if you need anything." She smiled.

Walking around the store, the princess was searching for anything that may really appeal to Pinkie Pie. Balloons...no, she already has a ton of those. Streamers? Nope, she's packed with them. Cupcake making supplies? Oh please, she lives in Sugar Cube Corner. Everywhere that Twilight looked, there wasn't anything that Pinkie doesn't already have. Twilight stopped and thought.  'Of course there's nothing here that Pinkie would like, she is the Party pony herself!'

She facepalmed, smacking her hoof onto her forehead. 

Mrs.Favor noticed and shouted from the counter, "Is everything alright, princess?"

Twilight turned her head, "Everything fine!" She managed a smile. Then she turned back and thought to herself. There was nothing here that would work as a present for Pinkie. She had to keep searching for the perfect gift. However, she decided it'd be best not to leave the party shop without buying anything. You know, to not disappoint the stores pony. A purple aura appeared around Twilight's horn, as it also appeared around a bunch of streamers and balloons. Pinkie would probably already have a ton, but with a hint of magic she could make them sparkle or glow- nevermind. It's probably best that magic is not added to them, just in case they unintentionally go out of control. Anyway, moving on. The purple pony walked towards the counter and payed for the supplies. They said their goodbyes then walked out.

Using her magic to put the streamers and balloons into a bag, the Princess trotted out and looked around Ponyville, desperate to find something for Pinkie. After two hours of looking around, the result was still nothing. Everything that was right for Pinkie, it was either 'average' or 'good', or she already had it. The Princess of Friendship sighed and sat down exhausted. She then heard a voice.

"Oh goodness, are you okay?" It sounded like Fluttershy, and it was. Twilight looked up at her.

"Oh, hey Fluttershy. I'm fine, I just can't find the right gift for Pinkie Pie." She explained, as Fluttershy held out a hoof helping her up."Everything that I find isn't good enough! I don't want to turn up without the perfect present."

Fluttershy smiled,"You're overthinking it. You're forgetting that it's not the gift that matters, but who It's from. The kindness that's put into it."

"I know...but this time I really want to give her more. This is something I willingly want to do! It's just that I can't find anything.." Twilight had a worried expression on her face, as if she wouldn't find anything.

"If that's really what you want, go for it. I'm not going to stop you. But don't push yourself, go home and rest. You've been working a lot. There is still time left. I'll help you find her a gift tomorrow."

Twilight nodded and started heading back home. 'Why do I feel so pressured to find the the most highest quality gift? I wouldn't usually do this...but now I really feel like I need to. What's wrong with me.' Lost in her thoughts, she accidentally bumped into another pony.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" she apologised.

"No no, It's my fault." The pony appeared to be Lyra's best friend, Bon Bon. She noticed something was off with Twilight, so she asked her what it was. Twilight then explained everything to her. "Wow, you don't need to put so much pressure on yourself. But if you really want to find your friend a gift, then Ponyville isn't the place to search."

"What do you mean..?"

"I mean that you should search a place like Las Pegasus, or maybe Manehatten?"

Twilight was suddenly filled with happiness or something like that. "Of course! Why didn't I think of that earlier? It'll be much easier to find a present in a place like that. I think I'll go for Manehatten. Thanks for the help, Bon Bon!"

"No problem, anything for you!"

The princess then rushed back to her castle and into her room. She burst open the doors and shouted, "Pack your bags, Spike! We're going to Manehatten!"

Spike looked up in confusion. "Wait, wut?"
