The Disney Quest
So this is my entry for @dance_draw_write 's contest.
In this story, I meet Anna from Frozen and this will be in Anna's point of view.
Hope you all like it!
Its late at night and the sky is pitch black with very little stars. A cold wind blows and I shiver.
The dark sky is symbolizing my current life.
There is darkness everywhere, and no hope. I fight back my tears and remember the day it all happened.
Kristoff and I were having a picnic at the edge of the town where thick trees grew. We had been holding our sides and laughing our heads off as Olaf's little brothers and sisters played catch with his head.
We hadn't noticed how it had been growing colder and the evening was getting eerier until a soldier came running up to us. He told us Elsa had come back from her visit to Queen Belle but she was quite unwell.
Tears swell up in my eyes and this time I let them fall. Nobody knew what to do with Elsa, she was so critically ill. Kristoff had pleaded the Roctors, as I call them, to come and right now they were, trying to figure out what was happening to Elsa.
I couldn't see Elsa like that so I had come to the edge of the town, near the docks where the water calms me down.
I can't lose Elsa. I've lost my parents, I cannot afford to lose my sister too.
I sigh and look over my shoulder. Maybe I should go back now. I am still debating whether I should go back or not when I see sparks from the corner of my eye.
Surprised, I see bright blue sparks a little above the docks. I stare with astonishment as a girl appears from it and drops down into the water.
The girl lets out a gasp and stares at me, wide-eyed. She gasps and goes down into the water. That is when I realize she might drown. I hurry to the edge of the docks and jump in. The water is freezing cold and for a couple of seconds I am paralyzed. But the sight of the girl breaks my trance. I help her swim upto the docks where both of us lay, panting.
Then I notice that she is wearing strange clothes. She has ink-black hair which stick to her face and wide dark eyes. Her clothes stick to her skin but not because of the water. I know it's supposed to be summer but it looks as if the sleeves of her clothes have got cut off and her lower is somewhat like men wear and she has a satchel of some sort.
I open my moth to ask her about it but I see that she is shivering and her face is quite pale.
"You're Anna", she gasps.
"How do you know?" I ask in astonishment.
The girl only stares at me.
"The mirror", she murmurs.
"It was true, I really am here."
"Okay, we need to get you to the castle", I say, helping her up.
"You can explain your story on the way."
So we start walking and by the time we reach the castle my head is spinning as I try to grasp onto her story.
The girl told me that her name was Tessa. She says that she came from another world where girls dress like she does, in jeans and sleeveless tops. She also told me that she had been visiting a haunted house with her friends when she had wandered into the attic. There she had seen various things but most intriguing was a mirror which had an inscription that the mirror could transport a person wherever they want to. Tessa had thought it was a joke and had thought of Arendelle and here she was.
"So, there is a movie based on our life in your world?" I ask, baffled.
She nods. "It's a pretty good one and I would love to see everyone, especially Olaf and Elsa."
I stop mid-way in the hall and gasp. I can't believe I forgot about Elsa. Without another word, dash towards Elsa's room. I hear Tessa yelling and running after me but I have to know how Elsa is.
I run into the room and the Roctors have gone. Kristoff is standing by Elsa and Olaf is weeping ice-tears.
"Kristoff", I cry, and he looks up and smiles at me, sadly
"What did they say?" I ask.
"Well", he hesitates.
"There is only one cure and it is rather difficult to get..."
"I'm all ears."
"There is a legend of a golden flower that has healing property and is very rare. It blossoms once in a year, only in a certain place, not far away. It blossoms in the garden of a small castle that is said to belong to a beast, an immortal beast."
Behind me Tessa gasps.
"I know the flower, and I know which garden you are talking about", she cries.
"You do?" I ask, while at the same time Kristoff asks who she is.
"That's a long story", I wave him off.
"Then you must come with me to get the flower", I say and look at her with pleading eyes.
"I'd love to", she smiles.
Kristoff cleared his throat.
"There is a tiny detail I left out", he says, anxiously.
"We must bring the flower back before sunset tomorrow or Elsa will die."

There is not a minute to be wasted and I do not let myself dwell on the possibility of Elsa's death but ask Kristoff to immediately make the arrangements. I hurry off to my room and drag Tessa with me. A couple of minutes later we are back into dry clothes and Tessa is eyeing her outfit.
"I've always wanted to wear something like this", she said happily.
Anna felt a surge of giggle but instead cleared her throat.
"What is in that bag of yours?"
"This is my slingbag", she said with a grin.
"I am so glad it came with me."
I decided she wasn't going to give me any answers so I headed outside.
"Anna", Kristoff said, waving.
"Let's go."
"Kristoff", I said,gently.
"You can't come with us."
His jaw hit the ground.
"What! But I-"
"Shhh", I say.
"Someone has to stay and look after Elsa and the kingdom and you are the only one I can trust. Besides, we'll be safe."
Kristoff sighed.
"Fine, but at least take Sven."
I nod and kiss him goodbye. When I turn I see that Tessa has already mounted Sven and is smiling maniacally.
"What?" I ask.
"You two look so cute", she squeals.
I blush and she giggles.
"Let's not forget about the deadline", I whisper and mount Sven.
Tessa's smile goes away and she nods seriously. I wave at the small crowd as Sven gallops and Arendelle disappears in darkness.

"Anna. Anna, wake up!"
My eyes snap open and I gaze at Tessa's face.
"Are we there?" I ask.
Tessa shook her head. "I thought that we should take a break for breakfast."
I nod and started to unpack the food when Tessa cleared her throat.
"Anna?"
"Yeah."
"There's a bird in your hair..."
"What!"
Flabbergasted, I run my hand through my hair and crane my neck. Nothing.
Then I hear peals of laughter and Tessa is laughing, clutching her sides.
I mock glare at her.
"Your hair are literally a bird's nest", she choked with laughter.
"Oh really? Then let's mess up yours too."
She shrieks as I tackle her to the ground and we roll over as I tangle her hair. In the end we look like a bunch of hooligans. Nevertheless, we quickly eat some food and then consult the map.
"Looks like we just have to cross this hill and then we'll reach the palace?" I say, happily. The earlier we get the flower the more better it is for Elsa.
But looks like fate is not on our side as we have to stop soon. Right in front of us is a deep cliff and a worn down bridge.
"I don't think Sven can cross that", Tessa said, voicing my thoughts.
"Looks like we are on our own from here", I agree.
Thankfully we don't have much baggage on us because this bridge doesn't look like it can take any weight.
Tessa steps on the bridge testily and the wood gives way.
"It's rotten away!" I cry, in dismay.
"We'll have to go all around the hill", Tessa said thoughtfully.
"But that will take us more than a day", I say. Oh no. What are we going to day.
Suddenly Tessa snaps her fingers. A huge grin cover her face.
"How do you feel about an adventure?"

A few seconds later Tessa has harnessed both of us to the two ropes on the sides of the bridge with what she calls as 'earphones'.
"I'm lucky I took gym this year", she says, as we slowly move forward, clinging to the rope, our feet dangling in thin air.
We make to the other side safe and sound and once on the other side Tessa takes out a container from her sling bag.
"What is this?" I inquire.
"A water bottle", she answers.
"Basically it contains water."
After we've both drunk to our heart's content we decide to continue.
"Race me to the castle?" she asks, with an impish grin.
"Sure", I say and we're off, running like our lives depend on it.

There are only a few hours for sunset and I am starting to get discouraged when the castle comes in sight.
It's a beautiful yellow castle with adjoining towers. We carefully edge closer and I wonder whether it is safe or not when the door opens.
A girl opens the door. She has beautiful brown hair and eyes and a flowing yellow gown.
Tessa sucks in her breath.
"Hello", the girl, who must be a princess, says.
"I saw you coming from my chambers."
"Belle", Tessa gasps.
"From Beauty and the Beast."
The princess looks at her questioningly.
"Yes, my name is Belle but how do you know about that?"
"I know everything about you", she says, and launches into her story. But this time she tells me about Belle's story. How she fell in love with the Beast who turned out to be a prince.
Belle looks astonished when Tessa has finished and I can't blame her. It's a lot to take in.
"Alright", she finally says.
"You may come inside."
She ushers us inside. The place is beautiful but I am too worried to admire it. As we are seated I tell her about Elsa and how I need that flower for her.
"I've been told that yours is the only garden where that flower blooms once in a year", I say.
"That would be true."
I whirl around to see the speaker of that voice and my eyes fall on the prince. He is handsome but seeing him reminds me of Kristoff and my heart aches for him.
"I have heard everything", he says.
"I would love to help your sister but I'm sorry I cannot give you the flower."
My heart stops and I stare at him in despair. This can't be true. We came from so far to get the flower, our only hope and even that is lost.
"But why?" Tessa cries.
"You see, we have no need for it so every year we give it to the Duchess of Earl in exchange for keeping my palace here", the prince explains.
"However, if we might have some other spectacular gift to give her..."
My throat dries up. We did not bring any gift for them. I have nothing to barter except...
"Take me", I say.
"You can give me to the Duchess and I'll be her slave but please, give Tessa the flower to heal my sister."
"Anna no!" Tessa cries, in shock.
"I'll give you something you've never seen", she says and rummages through her bag.
She brings out a rectangular metal piece and hands it to the prince.
"What is this?" he asks, curiously.
"It's a camera", Tessa says.
"It can be used to capture someone. Like making a painting, only it's more realistic."
She demonstrates how to use it and we gasp in awe. This device is truly spectacular.
"Tessa are you sure?" I whisper.
"This must be very costly and-"
But Tessa shakes her head and smiles.
"Nothing is more expensive than family."
I don't know how to thank her and instead I hug her.
Just then the prince enters with the golden flower.
"You deserve this", he says smiling at me.
I take the flower and look outside and my expression changes to horror.
"Oh no! The sun s setting", I cry.
"I'll never be able to reach in time."
"Do not fear", Belle says.
"My husband and I have quite a few magical things at our disposal. We can make a portal for you to go back to Arendelle and for Tessa to return to her world."
I stare at Tessa, speechless as the prince hurries to make the arrangements.
"So, it's farewell?" Tessa says, sadly.
"Tessa", I begin.
"Shush", she says.
"There is no need to thank me. I'm glad I was of any help to you."
"But I wanted you to meet Elsa", I whisper.
"And Olaf."
Tessa smiles.
"It's alright. I've had enough adventures today. We'll meet again, Anna. Mark my words."
I smile and kiss her goodbye and take my place near the portal.
Tessa's face is the last thing I see as I get sucked into it. The strange girl from another world who was so much like me. Who was my sister.
"Farewell sister", I whisper.
"I'll always remember you."
Okay so this didn't come out to be as good as it should have but yeah this is it.
