So this is my contest entry for @Twilight_fan_foeva 's short poem contest. We had to take a quote and write a short poem on it. Poems aren't my thing so I hope you like it!

The quote was: I hate getting flashbacks from things I don't want to remember

Poem:

They come all of a sudden,

those pictures flood my mind.

And then my body stiffens,

as the emotions overwhelm me.

They feed on my life, on my soul,

and I scream and cry.

As the flashbacks control me,

and I slowly die.

Save me from these devilish flashbacks!

Which thrash and clutch and grasp at me.

Save me from these cruel attacks!

Save me, before it's too late, please.
