Percy and Annabeth were relaxing at Sally's house after school.

So in this oneshot I'll be continuing after the above line....

Suddenly the house's toilets exploded. Annabeth looked at Percy who was cursing and had already put down his popcorns. Sally arrived just as Percy switched off the movie they had been watching

"Percy, what happened?" she asked worriedly

"Uh... nothing mom" Percy said hesistatingly

"Actually I just rememberd that me and Annabeth –"

"Annabeth and I" Annabeth corrected

"Whatever!" Percy said impatiently

"I just remembered that we had to... uh, submit a really important project tomorrow"

Annabeth narrowed her eyes. She didn't remember this 'project' and she remembered everything.

"Uh... we have to like click pictures of nature and... write essay on it, yeah"

"But Percy..." Sally protested

"Mom why don't you call the plumber... we'll be back soon"

"Ok..." Sally said as she watched Percy drag a confused Annabeth outside the house

"What in tartarus was that!" Annabeth exclaimed as soon as they reached outside

"Uh..."

"And that's all that you seem to be able to say today" Annabeth pointed

"I forgot that it is mom's birthday today" Percy blurted

For a whole minute Annabeth said nothing and just stared at Percy

Finally she shook her head in amazement. "Perseus Jackson!"

"What! Paul is away, to visit his mother who is ill so I had no one to remind me!" Percy defended himself

"It is not a thing that you need to be reminded of" Annabeth chided

"Anyways, now we quickly need to organise a party"

She whipped out a golden drachama and IM ed to Camp and invited every demigod who knew Sally

And then the two of them rushed to the bakery

"Lets buy a little mermaid cake!" Percy said excitedly

"Percy!" Annabeth said exasperated

"Its Sally's birthday, not yours"

Percy pouted and the man at the bakery watched this exchange, thoroughly amused

Ultimately they ordered for a blue cake with flowers.

"The planning begins" Annabeth said

Percy groaned as he saw Jason, Nico and Thalia taking his mom for shopping

"Thalia will definitely get every embarrassing thing that I did when I was small from my mom"

Annabeth shushed her and they ran to the flat, taking the steps two at a time.

When they reached there they saw Piper, Hazel and Frank hanging up some blue decorations and Leo in the meantime was making a Leo special party booper

As Annabeth started helping them the toilets exploded with a deafening roar

"Percy!" Annabeth exclaimed. "That is the second time in a row"

"We forgot the gift!" Percy wailed

"Clarisse, Conner, Travis and Katie will be here with the food soon" Piper informed

"But we still have a lot of work to do and we don't have the time for a gift" Hazel reasoned

"Ask Leo to make something" Annabeth suggested

Percy's eyes gleamed. "I have an another idea"

He marched out of the house as Leo rushed towards the toilets with a wrench in his hand

Sally was tired of shopping. She wanted to make Percy's favourite blue chocolate chip cookies. Surely, Percy and Annabeth would be home by now.

Thalia had made her buy a couple of dresses and had insisted that she wore one now. So she had chosen a light blue ruffled dress which ended just down her knees.

"There is no need for this" she had protested but Jason and Nico had said that she looked beautiful and graceful.

Finally they reached the house. She opened the locked door and frowned. Where was Percy?

The house was in pitch blackness but as soon as Sally stepped inside the lights switched on automatically and somewhere a party booper with sound effects burst,

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SALLY!" the demigods chorused

She saw Conner and Travis wearing crooked party hands with a glass of Coca-cola in hand and Clarisse, for once smiling. Grover was fortunately not eating any furniture. The girls – Piper, Hazel and Annabeth had dressed up elegantly and Frank and Leo stood right on front of a huge blue cake topped with flowers. And right on her side stood Percy, grinning idiotically at her

"Oh Percy!" she said and hugged him

"Happy Birthday mom" Percy said gently

"You still don't look any older"

Sally blushed slightly and smiled at everyone. "Thank you" she said with tears in her eyes

On some persistence Sally cut te cake and there were cheers as everyone drank coldrinks and ate the delicious cake

"Hey!" Percy yelled with a camera in hand

"Don't forget the pictures, otherwise Paul will kill me"

Sally smiled as everyone gathered

"Another person on the list to kill you" Annabeth laughed

"Hey mom" Percy said suddenly

"You might want to check your surprise gift in the next room"

"Wouldn't you all come with me?" Sally frowned

"No, it would be better if you were alone" Percy chuckled and winked at her

Puzzled Sally opened the door and smiled as she saw Travis drop Coca-cola down Leo's back

And then she turned and stopped, shocked to see a smiling man in Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt in front of her.

"Happy Birthday Sally", Poseidon smiled at her while Sally blushed

"Sorry, I'm a little late..."

"All that matters is you came" Sally said with tears in her eyes

"Even though I must have broken your heart after marrying Paul, you -"

Poseidon gently put a finger on her lips.

"Sally" he gently said

"It doesn't matter to me. Being with that guy makes you happy and why should I be angry at you just because you are trying to be happy? Besides I cannot be with you but remember one thing – I'll always love you as I did before"

And then he bought out a sea-green heart pendant. Sally gazed at it and took it in her hand. On an impulse she pried open the heart and inside she found a photo of Poseidon and one of her and Percy

She smiled. "This is the best gift I have ever received"

Just then they heard a snap. Surprised they turned their heads to see Percy with a camera in hand and his friends behind.

"You demanded for a photo" he grinned and Poseidon laughed.

"Well then son", he said taking hold of Percy

" lets take more photos"

There was a cheer and Sally smiled and the rest of the evening was spent in clicking photos
