Don't judge the title, I couldn't think of a gud one...

So this is for dance_draw_write's competition. So sorry I'm late! I somehow messed up the dates and thought this was due by 11th but I am so glad you reminded me!

Basically I have to ship Anna from Frozen with another disney character and tell how they fell in love.

Here I go!

I looked at the invitation and smiled.

"Elsa, look", I said, showing my sister the plain but intricate invitation card to a wedding.

"Rapunzel and Eugene warmly welcome us to their wedding on 12th June", Elsa murmured, looking through the letter. (AN:I know that they showed a scene of their wedding in the film but let's imagine it never happened)

How I wished this was my wedding invitation! But Hans and I had decided that Hans should court me for a year and then ask Elsa for my hand.

Just two months had passed but time flys when I am with Hans.

"Oh", Elsa said, and her face lights up with a smile. She looks really beautiful when she smiles.

"I know Rapunzel, she visited our kingdom sometime ago",Elsa said.

"She's really sweet and nice, quiet a lot like you, really."

"Then we'll go to the wedding together", I say in excitement, already planning out Elsa's dress.

"We can't", Elsa says with a sigh.
"At least I can't. I've got such a lot of work here, I can't leave. But you should go there Anna, to convey my blessings and maybe make new friends."

So that's why I find myself packed up on a ship, off for a wedding.

The trip was actually very nice. The weather was marvelous and I sung during the whole voyage.

I'm so excited to attend a wedding!
Elsa never lets me go anywhere alone. Of course there will be guard with me but I'm going to leave them behind.

Of course, Elsa doesn't really need to know about it.

I instruct the guards to reach the palace with my belongings while I set off to adventure the town.

It's a merry little place, full of laughter and excitement. Of course it might be because of the wedding but I have a feeling that the atmosphere here is always like this.

I spend almost the whole day visiting different kinds of shops and enjoying myself and by the time I reach the place outside the palace its noon.

The whole place is decorated with white banners that have the royal kingdom's seal on it. The ground is painted colorfully and people are dancing on a gay tune played by a man with a hook.

There is a huge painting made of tiles before me which portrays a king and queen, holding up a cute little baby girl with beautiful golden hair and a crown.

She must be Rapunzel, I realize.

Before I can ponder over it three children appear before me. They start giggling and push me into the dancing crowd. Someone grabs my hand and before I know it, I'm dancing and laughing with everyone else. It's so much fun!

And then the tune gets faster and I struggle to keep up. It's going to end now, I tell myself but me being the clumsy girl I am, I slip.

At the last possible moment, someone grabs my hand and my waist and the music ends.

My hair are in a mess and cover my left eye. Out of my right eye I see a ypung man with tanned skin, big hazel eyes and gorgeous brown eyes.

Dashing.

We stay like that for a few seconds and then he lifts me up.

"Careful", he smirks and I blush.

Anna! You love Hans! I scream at my mind.

Just a silly crush, I tell myself.

"I haven't seen you here before", the guy says.

"Uh...", I stutter.

"Actually I cam here for the wedding."

"Ah", the man says with a mischievous smile and a twinkle in his eyes.

"Then you've already met the groom."

"You are Eugene?" I ask.

"Yes", he says, with a smile.
"And you're welcome to our kingdom."

"What are you doing here?" I ask again. I know, rather rude but curiosity is in my nature.

Eugene shrugs.

"Having fun."

He motions towards a young girl, about Elsa's age with grey-green eyes, rosy cheeks and choppy, brown, waist-length hair. She is wearing a simple gown, not unlike mine and is playing with the very children who pushed me into the dance.

"She must be your fiancee, Rapunzel", I say.

Upon hearing her name, Rapunzel looks up.

"Hello",I say.

"I'm Anna,Elsa's sister."

Rapunzel's face brightens.

"Oh yes I remember her! All prim and proper, quite unlike me. But we still became great friends."

"You mean the ice girl?" Eugene asks.

I poke him in the stomach with my elbows and he yells.

Rapunzel laughs.

"I can see you are quite different from your sister, in looks and by nature."

"That, I know", I respond with a smile.

"Though you should have seen Elsa before she became queen", I say, remembering our past.

And I tell them everything.

Risky? Yes.

But what's life without a few risks?

Plus she was Elsa's friend so there was no harm in telling her.

"Great powers come with sacrifice", Rapunzel says with a knowing smile and I feel there is something to her past too.

"Come let's go to the palace", she suggests.

"I'll tell you our story on the way."

And so I come to know about her magic hair, how she met Eugene and how she was finally reunited with her parents.

I look at her hair with fascination.

"Are they still magical?" I ask.

Rapunzel shakes her head.

I'm sitting right next to her in the carriage but I still hesitate.

"Can I- you know?"

"Sure!" she says amiably and I reach out to weave my hand through her soft hair.

(AN: Those who haven't read my one shot , FROZEN: A Different Ending, might not be able to understand this part)

I am unable to explain what happens next.

Rapunzel and I let out a collective gasp. A warm sensation spreads through my fingers and suddenly magical waves start spreading through Rapunzel's hair as it starts shining and suddenly there's a blinding light.

After it dies down Rapunzel and I just stare at each other as my hand slides away from her hair. Suddenly, she grasps my hand and I wince. I had got a cut on it today, God knows how. Then I realize what she is going to do. She is going to sing.

"Flower gleam and glow,

Let your power shine,

Make the clock go round,

Bring back what once was mine, what once was mine"

Her brown hair glow and slowly my wound heals.

But Rapunzel lets out a moan and faints.

It's been a year since the wedding. Eugene and Rapunzel are happily married and are even going to have a baby. They have everything they could wish for. And I.... I have nothing.

Hans had gone snow-sledding one day when a landslide occurred and he died. It's been six months since then and I've been in depression. No one seems to be able to cheer me up. Except my soul friend, Eugene.

We still keep in touch by letters and occasionally meet. My small little crush has blossomed and grown into love but I can never admit it to him, of course.

That day when Rapunzel fainted we discovered that somehow I had restored her magical healing powers. But if she uses them on a large-scale she grows weaker so it's been kept a secret.

Those letters from Eugene help me while my time. They are my sole source of entertainment, excitement, adventure, life, Everything.

Which is why when Eugene calls me to his kingdom for an emergency I rush n there without a second thought.

There's no time for sightseeing and roaming and the place itself seems... off.

I can't see many people atpund and those whoom I see are very quiet and subsided. It's all too quiet.

Wondering what has happened, I rush towards the palace.

The guards let me in and I run into Eugene.

My heart hammers in my chest. His eyes are wide as he takes in my appearance and his hair are ruffled as if he's been running his hand through them absentmindedly, making him look ruggedly handsome.

He keeps staring at me and I realise in my haste I didn't look at my attire. Its summer in Aerendale so I was wearing a long, sleeveless gown-frock with a low-cut neckline and back.

But its winter here so I must be looking ridiculous.

Eugene takes off his jacket and slungs it on my shoulders.

"You must be freezing", he says.

I nod, absentmindedly, staring at his face.

"You said there was an emergency", I finally say.

He bites his lip and nods.

"Yes, it's Rapunzel."

My whole body freezes as I think of endless things that could have happened.

"What happened to her?" I ask in a whisper.

"See for yourself."

I enter a room which is dimly lit and rather spare. There's a big white horse - Maximus - standing in a corner with his drooping head and then I see Rapunzel, tucked in a bed in the middle of the room.

I gasp when I see her, she's changed completely.

Her face is a sickly white, her grey green eyes are a dull grey and her hair. Her hair are brown but a dark sick brown. As if, as if they're rotting.

I crouch beside her and her chameleon climbs onto my arm and sadly puts his head on my arm.

"Oh Rapunzel", I say.

"What happened?"

"She tried to save the whole town", Eugene spoke from behind.

"What?"

Eugene explained how a plague had spread in their kingdom and Rapunzel had used her powers to save everyone. It had affected her health. The plague had caught hold of her and she couldn't save herself. She could barely save the baby.

"The baby!", I whisper in awe and see a small cot in another corner of the room. I walk up to it and see a cute little baby girl with brown hair like Eugene's, fast asleep.

Beautiful.

"She hasn't let herself come near anyone", Eugene says.

"Not even me or Elle."

Elle. That's a nice name.

"I'm so sorry", I say.
"But I don't see why I-"

"I love you", Eugene blurts and I stare at him.

In horror, amazement and happiness.

"I-Rapunzel"

"I told her", he says, gently.

"I had thought it was just a crush when I first saw you but it wasn't. I love you Anna. With all my life."

"Marry him", Rapunzel whispers and I just look at her.

"Please", she pleads.

"Nothing is above his happiness for me. And I'll be really happy to know that he has someone when I'm gone."

I nod as tears run down my cheeks.

"Rapunzel I am so-"

"Don't be sorry", she insists.
"I chose this. Just please look after Pascal and Elle."

Pascal peeps out of my hair and I see tears in his eyes.

"Goodbye Eugene", she says and just like that she's gone.

Eugene reaches out to close her eyes and cover her face.

"She was a great friend", he says with evident sorrow.

"Eugene-"

"Anna do you love me?" he asks, his eyes ablaze and staring at me with such intensity that I nod immediately.

"I do Eugene, I always have"

The words barely leave my lips when Eugene crashes on me, our souls are one as he gently holds my face and envelops me in his arms.

And now I'm complete. More than I have ever been.

I swear it killed me when I killed Rapunzel and it just felt so wrong taking Eugene away from him.

But yaay I finally completed the task! :)
