PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Safa Farkhani is an open book, but only when she wants to be. She has very good self-control, but she is also very emotional and keeps her emotions bottled up until she explodes. She is a dreamer and a secret romantic, but she will never admit it.

CHARACTER ARC: Safa Farkhani was born in Casablanca, Morocco and moved to South Korea when she was seventeen years old and her father received a fantastic job opportunity there. She was the only Moroccan student in school, which led to her being bullied and harassed frequently. She was miserable, but she hid it from her parents because they were happy and her father needed the job. The only friends she had there were Ju Kyung, Soo Ho, and Han Seo Jun. Her only escape was writing comic books. As the bullying got worse, Safa tried to hide her Moroccan identity and became more ashamed of it, but her friends encouraged her. Eventually, Han Seo discovered that she had a unique talent for writing comics, for singing, and for writing songs. He encouraged her to get published or perform, but she refused. The more time that she spent with him, the more that she began to fall for him. However, she knew that he had feelings for Ju, so she kept her feelings hidden. It wasn't until much later that they actually became a couple.
