Chapter 5: One's Own Aura...
After waking up from my sleep, I noticed it was around 7 o'clock. Perfect time to put in some extra training.
With Lillie asleep and out of the way, I felt like it would be a good idea to go to an area not too far from home that is very secluded and open.
Hopefully I can learn a bit extra in terms of aura from Lucario. He did tell me he could show me a new aura skill.
I tossed out his Pokeball. "Good morning master. I guess you want me to teach you that new skill I mentioned." He asked.
"Yeah. I want to feel like I am progressing like my other Pokemon when I am training them. This skill will help me improve my aura." I say with determination.
"Alright master. But I must say that it isn't all fighting related. It's what some call Aura Reading. It allows you to be able to read people's thoughts and emotions just by sensing them with your own aura. This also allows you to sense when people approach, so you can't be surprised too easily." He explained. "It isn't too hard to learn, but as I haven't taught you yet, I felt like this would be a good skill to learn around now. Especially after last night. Now let's get started."

Timeskip: 3 hours later
Lillie POV
As I woke up, I stretched out and yawned. I noticed Sun isn't still sleeping so I assume he is in the living room.
After changing really quick, I walk out of the room only to find Sun's mom eating while watching a Pokemon Showcase.
Sun's mom heard me walk out. "Good morning Lillie. You slept in pretty late." She said while smiling.
"Good morning. Do you know where Sun is?" I asked with concern. I never thought he would leave without telling someone.
She laughed. "Oh don't worry about him. I have a pretty good idea where he is. We have a little open area not too far from our house. Sun goes there sometimes in the morning to train."
I sighed slightly with relief. "Ok. Thanks."
"No problem. Have some breakfast before you go out." She insisted.
After eating a bowl of cereal, I went to look for the area that Sun's mother was talking about. I am curious if it has to do with the aura thing he mentioned.
After I came to a clearing in the bushes, I saw Sun and knew I found the right spot.
I noticed he was just standing face to face with Lucario, while both their eyes were closed. As soon as I thought about approaching, I saw both of them move at the same time.
Sun rushed while forming what looked like 2 swords, while Lucario had formed a Bone Rush. Lucario began to swing down, but Sun crossed his blades, and froze the attack.
Lucario then went for a small barrage of Bone Rush swings, Sun impressively managing to block all of them. Sun then went and charged Lucario, managing to disarm him with a few strikes. Lucario retreated by throwing a few Aura Spheres. All of which, Sun dodged or deflected.
After avoiding the Aura Spheres, they stopped for a few seconds.
"Lillie, you can come out of the bushes. I know you're watching us." I froze. How did he know? His eyes are still closed.

Sun POV: A few minutes ago
"Concentrate on my aura, Sun. Do you sense me?" Lucario asked.
"Yes, I can. I can see your outline as well as sense my surroundings. It's amazing." I stated in awe, while my eyes were still closed.
"Good. That means your Aura Sense is improving. Do you want to try sparring like this?"
"Yes. I feel like I can do it." I stated.
Suddenly, I felt a presence walk up near some bushes. I recognized their aura.
"Lillie's here."
"Great job sensing her. You are improving much faster. Do you still wish to continue with her here?" He asked.
"Yes. I doubt she will try to stop us. Let's begin."
We rushed at the same time towards each other. I sensed his Bone Rush and brought out my Aura Blades to defend. After clashing weapons several times, I swiftly disarmed him.
Once he is disarmed, he backflipped and fired 5 Aura Spheres. All of which, I deflected.
He stood up. "Good. I don't think we have to continue practicing your Sense. However, I feel like we should spar like this from now on."
"I agree. Now let's start teaching Lillie." I said.
"Lillie you can come out of the bushes. I know you were watching us." A moment later, she walked out.
"You didn't even have your eyes open. How did you know I was there?" She asked, still shocked that I found her easily.
"I could sense your aura." I said simply.
"What!? You can do that too?" She questioned in shock.
"Yeah. It comes in handy when people try to sneak up on me. Are you ready to learn?" I hope she doesn't overdo this.
"Yes I am. So how do we start?" She said excitedly.
"Well, this won't all happen at once. It may take hours upon hours. Now first, let me and Lucario read your aura."
Lucario and I both closed our eyes as we went into our Aura Sense and began to look through her own aura. Her aura had a simple light blue color, the natural color of all normal humans. However, we saw she had a slight dark blue tint that was at the core of her aura.
"This may be easier than we thought." Lucario said.
"Still though, she may get frustrated easily and make it that much harder."
"Correct, but you of all people should have faith."
"I do."
We opened our eyes. "Ok Lillie. We are going to start with something simple. It may take time to learn this, but don't get frustrated."
She smiled. "I promise I won't. So what are we doing?"
"You are going to try and form an Aura Sphere for the first time. Now listen carefully. Close your eyes, and bring your hands in front of you. Can you feel any energy in you right now?"
She nodded. "Alright, now try and focus that energy into the palms of your hands. Don't try and push by force. Just use your mind and heart to guide it."
Lillie nods and begins to focus. As she is starting, a tiny blue sphere begins to take form. The sphere begins to grow slowly.
"Well you are right Lucario," I admitted. "I didn't expect her to get it first try. Looks like she does have a good aura."
Lucario smirked. "She may be struggling a slight bit, but after doing it a few times, she might be able form one as fast as us. I give her a few days. Once she has done that, then we shall teach her how to speak through aura."
I turned back to her. "Ok Lillie. Now use your mind and push your arms to launch it."
"Ok." She squeaked out. I could hear slight bits of strain in her voice.
She then successfully launched the Aura Sphere in a straight line... right towards us.
Luckily I formed a shield fast enough in front of me and Lucario. She gasped as smoke covered us, but sighed with relief.
I walked up and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "You know, how about you face the ocean next time, ok?" We laughed.
All of the sudden, Rotom rushed out of my bag. "Zzt, Sun I have received a message from Aether Paradise. Apparently Gladion wants to meet with both you and Lillie right now."
I turned towards my partner. "Lucario, I want you to stay out with us in case we see Team Rocket again."
He nodded as I called out Charizard. All 3 of us hopped on and made it to Aether Paradise with little trouble. Gladion was waiting in the house at the other end of the area.
He saw us walk in. "Sun, Lillie. Have a seat." We sat down in front of him.
"Hey Gladion. Something up?" I asked noticing the expression he had.
He nodded. "You remember those Team Rocket guys from yesterday?"
"How could I forget."
"Well Guzma just called earlier and told me that they tried to give him a proposition to join them."
"Really? What did he say?" Lillie asked. I was shocked that they tried to get him to join them.
"Luckily he denied them since he wants to help people now rather than harm them anymore. They didn't like his choice though."
I grew concerned. If they want Team Skull, then they mean to make an army to storm and break down Alola.
"Are they in trouble right now? Do we need to go over there?" I questioned.
"No. Well not yet at least. They tried to blindside him, but luckily he, Plumeria and the grunts have been training with Hau's help, so they could fight back easily."
"Good." I remember Hau has been with Team Skull recently, trying to help them be strong enough to take on big threats. Guess it's coming in handy.
"However, you never know when they will try to make a bigger play, so I am just warning you. For now, stay alert, cause they may either try an assault on Team Skull or Aether Paradise, or they will try to take you out of the picture. Be careful."
"Got it. Tell me as soon as you know something happened." I say as we prepare to leave.
"Sun, I want to tell you something real quick. Come with me." He said as we walked to the other end of the room.
"What is it?" I asked.
"There was something I should've told you yesterday. Whenever Team Rocket attacked, I heard them talking about how they were looking to find two people.
"Could you tell who?"
"They mentioned a Boy and a Girl. They never gave details about the boy, but they said the girl is in white and has blonde hair. I think they mean you and Lillie."
I grew concerned instantly. I bet they want Lillie to get to me. I couldn't leave her side so easily anymore.
"Thanks Gladion. I will watch over her."
"Good. Stay safe."
After saying goodbye to Gladion, we flew home and ate dinner with mom.
After sitting and watching a Pokemon Contest take place, Lillie and I told mom goodnight, changed clothes, and climbed into bed.
"Hey Sun?" She asked.
"Yeah?"
"What were you and Gladion talking about?"
I decided to hide it for her sake. "Nothing too bad. Just telling me to be extra careful and not underestimate Team Rocket."
"Are you sure? I feel there is more to it." She questioned heavily.
"Yeah I'm sure. Don't worry about it." I say with a smooth tone.
"Ok. Can we please continue my aura training tomorrow?" She begged.
I laughed. "Don't worry, I was planning on it anyways."
"Thanks Sun." She said while cuddling closer to me. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight Lillie."
Man I love aura. It makes the story more interesting in my opinion. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. Comment Question: What would you want your first power be if you gained Aura? Mine would be Aura Sense cause I love being able to know what is around me even if I am blinded. Have a wonderful week.
