Sun POV

Lillie and I had made it back to my house to change. We had about 10 minutes until this surprise party for Lillie took place, so I kinda rushed both of us.

I still couldn't shake that feeling about those guys in black as we walked past them earlier. It's almost as if they were sizing me up when we passed by. I decided to switch out my Toucannon. If there was any chance that this was going bad, then this guy may be my backup plan.

"Hey Lillie, are you ready yet?"

"Almost. Just grabbing my Pokeballs." She yelled from my room. I made a mental note to ask her about her Pokemon as I had forgotten to earlier.
Once Lillie was all set in her beautiful new dress, we left the house and started to make our way to Iki town.

Suddenly Lillie gasps in fear. "SUN WHAT IS THAT!?"

I look in the direction she was pointing in, and noticed that one of the buildings in town was on fire.

"Come on. We have to help them!" I say as I grab her hand and we rush into the village.

It was complete chaos within the town. All I could see was houses on fire and people in black with red R's on their chests commanding various Pokemon. Is it possible that they are really them...?

The townspeople were trying to fight back but to no avail. The only ones I saw standing were Hau, Hala, and Gladion. I couldn't see any of the other Kahunas, so all 3 of them were cornered by Golbat and Koffing.

I rushed in as fast as I could, bringing out Lycanroc with me. "Lycanroc, clear out those Golbat and Koffing with Accelrock!" I commanded.

All of the Golbat fainted instantly, but the Koffing struggled to get up still. Hau then finished them off with Raichu's Psychic (yes, I do mean Alolan-Raichu just to clear up any confusion).

We ran up to the group of three as fast as possible.

"Are they who I think they are?" I asked Gladion as I ran up.

"If you think they're called Team Rocket, then yes, they are. DUCK!" He pushed us away from an approaching Shadow Ball.

"I owe you one." I say as I get up and watch for more attacks.

"No problem. Now that you're here, we can start pushing them back."

Hala stood next to us. "I count at least 20 grunts left. I want Lillie to stay with you Sun, so that leaves 5 for each of us. Now let's kick them out of this town."

We split up to take on different areas with grunts in them. I ran up to my second grunt and took out his Golbat with Lycanroc. However, I didn't see the 3rd one, and he knocked me hard on the ground with his golem's magnitude, my Lycanroc fainting beside me. I was too reckless.

As I lay down on the ground, I saw both grunts walk up and attempt to subdue me. Just before they could, I saw one of them get hit with a jet of water, knocking him into a house. I noticed that was Lillie with a Wartortle.

With the other one in shock, I sweeped his legs out and knocked him over. As I did that, I brought out my backup.

"Alright. No more games. Lucario, let's go!" I say as I toss the aura Pokemon out of his Pokeball.

I had caught this Lucario while Lillie was in Kanto. After training with it for a long time, I ended up developing my own aura. Because of that, I can now talk to Lucario directly through aura, make physical weapons, and throw Aura Spheres.(A/N: Bold is aura speak.)

"You called master?" Lucario asked in a serious tone.

"I need your help. We need to stop these people in black from destroying the town." I explained.

"Ok. I'm ready." He got into battle stance as a few grunts ran up.

I hit the Mega Clip that I had hidden on the side of my cap. "Lucario, respond to my aura. Mega Evolve."

Lucario's Lucarionite on his ankle began to shine, as he was surrounded in light and became Mega Lucario.

As we finished the transformation, the grunts were surrounding the 2 of  us with Arboks, Koffing, and Golems. I looked for Lillie and saw she was with Hala and Hau as they stared towards us. It was almost as if they were saying 'It's your turn to do something.'

Lucario and I stood back to back. "Use Psychic on the Arboks. I'll take on the Golems." Lucario nodded in response.

I formed Aura Spheres as I charged the Golem. They tried to hit me with Rock Blasts, but I anticipated them and avoided it (thank Arceus for aura training). I launched a volley at one of the Golems, knocking him out instantly.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Lucario finished off the Arboks, and charged the Koffing with Bone Rush. I jumped over the last Golem as he tried to use Rollout, and hit him in the back with 1 more Aura Sphere, knocking him out also.

Before the grunts could run, Lucario stopped most of them with Psychic, while the rest were surrounded by Hala, Hau and Gladion.

We rounded all of them in one place. I walked up to who looked like the Head Grunt. "I thought your team disbanded years ago. I want answers. Who is leading you now?"

He smirked. "Giovanni, our leader, has finally returned. He is stronger than ever, and is ready to claim the world in his name."

I got right in his face. "Well if he wants to do that, he will have to get through me as well as the other champions. Now tell me, how many others are there on Alola? And why did you attack this village?"

He spat at my feet. "Like I would tell you any of that. You also don't know Giovanni's strength. He is way more powerful than before. You can't stop us."

"Regardless, your team just lost about 40 grunts. The police can take care of you guys now." I said as I walked away from them. The police had shown up and were already cuffing them.

I gave Lucario a high five as he reverted back to normal. As I began to turn around, I saw Lillie running up to me and tackle me in a hug. "How did you do that? I've never seen anything like that before." She asked with shock covering her face.

"Well, after you left, I trained with this Lucario I caught, and developed a power called aura. It let's me do most of what you saw." I explained as simply as I could.

"That was amazing. I want to learn how to do that myself now." She said excitedly.

Hau, Hala, and Gladion walked up to both of us. "Wow Sun. I didn't think you were going to use your aura." Hau exclaimed.

"I wasn't planning to, but we got covered at all angles. I didn't want Lucario to feel overwhelmed while trying to protect me." I stated. I have learned in the past that even Mega Evolution has limits.

Hala nodded. "Even so, thank you for protecting the town Sun. We would've been in trouble if you hadn't shown up."

"In all fairness, Lillie kinda saved me there for a second. I almost got subdued before I called out Lucario, but her and her Wartortle saved me." I stated as she began to blush.

Hala chuckled. "Haha. Thank you Lillie for saving our champion. Now, once the mess is clean, it's time we have our celebration."

Lillie gave us a quizzical look. "Celebration?"

I laughed. "That was the real reason we came here tonight Lillie. We were going to all surprise you with a welcome home festival."

She walked up and gave me another hug. "Sun, thank you. I never would've guessed." She turned to all the others. "Thanks guys. I appreciate it." She said smiling.

As the festival started, all the Captain's and Kahunas showed up, and did their signature Z pose. After that, Lillie walked around saying hi to everyone she hadn't seen for a while.

I chilled with Gladion in the background. "So, did you already tell her?" He asked.

"Tell her what?" I questioned, although I knew the answer already.

"That you are in love with her."

I looked towards her as she was talking to Olivia. "Yeah, I did. You aren't mad, are you?"

He smiled. "I can't imagine a better couple. If it was Hau, then yeah. I would be mad."

We laughed as Lillie walked up to both of us. She stared at Gladion's face for a second. "He knows, doesn't he?" She asked.

"Yeah. He doesn't care though." I stated.

She smiled. "Good. I don't want my brother ripping apart the person I'm dating."

I looked at the time. HOLY CRAP IT'S ALREADY 11:53!

I looked at Lillie. "I'm getting worn out. I need to go home. What about you?"

She yawned. "Yeah. I'm getting tired too."

I looked at Gladion. "You alright with her staying at my place?"

He shrugged. "I can't control her. She might as well go with you."

"Thanks, Gladion. See you later."

We found my mom and I told her that we are ready to go back. She was unsure about Lillie staying with us, but I told her Gladion was fine with it since her mother isn't here.

We walked home and got changed for bed. After saying goodnight to my mother, we walked into my room and climbed into bed.

"Lillie thanks for saving me. If it wasn't for you, we might not have made it through that."

I couldn't see her in the dark, but I could tell she was blushing.

"It's no problem Sun. Really." She said.

"Well as thanks for saving me, I decided I would teach you how to use aura." I told her.

She gasped. "Are you serious?"

I kissed her cheek. "Yes I am. For now though, let's get some sleep, ok? Goodnight."

"Goodnight Sun."

With Lillie next to me, I fell asleep almost instantly...
