Sun POV

Ash walked up and bro hugged me. "It's been so long. What have you been up to since you left?"

"Well, quite a lot actually. I came back here to challenge the gyms. What about you?" I asked.

"I'm just taking a break. I just lost the Kalos league not too long ago sadly. I still did pretty well in all honesty." He said.

"Cool. I have done a lot since you have last seen me. I've become really powerful." I stated.

He smiled. "Oh really? So what all have you accomplished since you moved 2 years ago?"

I smirked. "Well let's see.... I disbanded an evil team, caught a couple legendary pokemon, learned how to use aura, and became Alolan Champion. That's about it."

His Jaw dropped at the last one. "You are that strong already? I really want to battle you now."

I looked at the time. "Well, it's getting late. Can we do this tomorrow?"

"Sure. You can take the guest room upstairs." He said leading me to my temporary room.

After getting ready for bed, I said goodnight to Ash, and thanked him for the room. As I layed down, I silently wished Lillie goodnight...

Next morning...

I woke up to the sound of my door opening. Delia had come in to wake me for breakfast.

As I got downstairs, I noticed Ash was already done and was outside practicing with his Greninja. After finishing my food, I went out to go visit with him.

"Hey Ash. You're up pretty early."

He turned around. "Oh. Yeah, I do this sometimes so me and my team can train and be ready for next time."

I smirked. "Well, how about you and I have a little 1v1 then. It could get you some practice in."

"That would be great. But first, I want to go up to Professor Oak and meet up with some of my pokemon." He stated.

"Alright. I'll come with you then."

We walked to the Professor's lab, which wasn't too long of a walk. Ash knocked on the door, and a man with dark hair and a green shirt opened it.

"Hey Tracy. It's been a while."

The man smiled. "Yeah, it has. Come on in. We were wondering when you would show up." He let us both into the lab, where a familiar man in a lab coat was standing.

"Ah, there you are Ash." He looked at me. "I remember you. You were in an article I read about the Alola region. You are the Champion of Alola, correct?"

I nodded. "I actually came here for a reason of my own. I want to receive a starter Pokemon from you."

He pulled out 2 Pokeballs. "Unfortunately, someone took my final Squirtle last week, so I only have Bulbasaur, and Charmander. Who do you choose?"

After thinking, I decided. "I'll go Charmander. I always wanted my own Charizard."

He gave me Charmander's Pokeball, and I released it from the Pokeball. It looked at me with confused, but curious eyes.

"Hi Charmander. I am your new trainer, Sun. It's nice to meet you." I smiled at him.

"Charr!" He jumped at me and gave me a big hug.

Professor Oak and Ash smiled. "You know, he reminds me of you, Ash."

Ash looked at him curiously. "How so?"

"The way he is with Pokemon. He seems to become friendly with them naturally."

Ash looked back at me. "Hey Sun, wanna go see my other Pokemon?"

I was curious at who else he had. "Sure. Let's go."

I am so glad Ash is here. It is helping me keep my mind off Moon. I hope she is keeping an eye on Lillie...

Lillie POV

I finally woke up from my sleep. I couldn't fall asleep for a while, cause I was stuck trying how to help Sun and Moon.

I got out of bed, dressed up, and went downstairs for breakfast. Luckily, since it was late into the morning, Moon's mother left out some food for me to eat.

After eating, I looked outside, and saw Moon sitting by a tree. She seemed to be picking at her scar. I could tell she was still stuck on Sun being here.

I walked out there and came close to her. Hopefully I could keep her occupied from thinking about Sun.

"Hey Moon. Do you want to go visit Professor Oak today?" I asked.

She looked at me, and nodded. I picked her up, and we walked to meet with the professor...

Sun POV

"So these are my Pokemon." Ash gestured the Pokemon next to him.

I was stunned by the sheer number of Pokemon. There were so many, including like 30 something Tauros.

"Wow. I don't even have that many Pokemon." I said in awe.

He smirked. "Well, how about that battle. If you would, I would rather do a full battle. You ok with that?"

I thought it would help clear up my mind. "Sure, but I want to change out a few members of my team. I'll be right back."

I decided to change out Nebby and Mudsdale since Nebby would be unfair, and Mudsdale hasn't gotten to do much recently. I also decided to let Lucario take a break since he was still sore from all the heavy aura training we did with RJ a few days ago.

I decided after several moments of thinking that I would put in Lopunny for my Mega, whom I got from a mystery egg at the daycare not too long ago. I have used her a lot in the past, but not as many know about her.

I also grabbed my Silvally that Gladion gave me as a Type: Null after Lillie left. It is very valued to me as I know Gladion never gives one to just anybody. I decided to put the Ice Memory on him.

For my last one, I went with Golisopod since he may be tricky for Ash to get around. He is very powerful and catches people off guard, so I thought he would be a good candidate for this battle.

I walked back outside with my team fully ready for battle. Ash was standing there waiting. We got into position as Tracy reffed the fight.

"Let's do this Ash." I said.

"Yeah." He called back.

Tracy called out. "Ok this is a full battle. Trainers, send out your Pokemon."

Ash threw a Pokeball. "Go, Charizard." A red lizard with a flaming tail appeared.

I threw out Lycanroc in response.

"Use Thunder Fang." I commanded.

"Dodge and use Dragon Claw."

"Follow with Stone Edge."

Charizard avoided the Thunder Fang, but I hit him witn Stone Edge before he could activate Dragon Claw. The attack defeated him instantly.

"Charizard, return. Go, Sceptile." Out came the Gecko Pokemon himself.

"Use Crunch." I said.

"Use Leaf Blade."

We clashed attacks, but Lycanroc couldn't keep going. He went down while Sceptile was still heavily damaged.

"Lycanroc, return. Let's battle, Golisopod."

Ash was shocked at seeing this Pokemon, but still stayed focused. "Use Leaf Storm."

"First Impression. Then use Leech Life."

Before Sceptile could even move, he was forced down by Golisopod. He tried to get up, but Leech Life finished him off.

"Sceptile, return. Pikachu, go." He sent out the electric mouse Pokemon into battle.

"Use Electro Ball."

"Block with Razor Shell, then use Leech Life."

Golisopod blocked the Electro Ball, and then hit with a strong Leech Life. Pikachu could barely stand.

"Finish with Razor Shell."

"Use Thunderbolt."

Golisopod was defeated by Thunderbolt, but not before he threw a Razor Shell which knocked out Pikachu as well. Looks like I am in the lead.

Moon POV

We made it to Professor Oak's lab finally. Lillie and I could hear the sounds of battling, but I just dismissed it as the Pokemon in the lab's corral. We walked in on Oak typing on his computer.

He looked up. "Lillie. Moon. How are you both?"

"Good." We both said.

"Great. If you both want, you can go check out the battle outside. I was watching the start of it, and it seemed pretty even to me." He stated.

We both walked outside to the battle square to see both battlers. I noticed one was a kid that I think lives near the lab. I have never met him though.

I looked over at the second one, and my heart stopped. I saw the one person I didn't want to see. I might as well watch at this point. Let's see what you can do, Sun...

Sun POV

I brought out my Decidueye as Ash brought out Infernape. I could tell the monkey was well trained.

"Infernape, use Close Combat."

"Take it, then use Spirit Shackle."

Infernape attacked Decidueye, but due to typing, it did nothing. I hit him with a Spirit Shackle, and Infernape was locked in the battle.

"Use Flame Wheel."

"Dodge it."

We underestimated Infernapes speed. We got hit by the Flame Wheel before Decidueye could dodge, knocking him out instantly. I sent out Jolteon next.

"Use Thunder."

"Dodge it Infernape."

He wasn't fast enough. Infernape was hit straight on and was defeated instantly. Ash sent out his Gliscor next.

"Gliscor, use X-Scissor."

"Jolteon, use Shadow Ball."

"Cut it and use Giga Impact."

"Dodge it."

Gliscor cut through the Shadow Ball and Shifted to a Giga Impact. Jolteon dodged most of it, but he got grazed in the leg.

"Hidden Power."

We launched a Hidden Power, but Gliscor had flown too high for us to hit directly.

"Gliscor use Earthquake."

"Dodge it."

"Hit it down."

Jolteon jumped, but Gliscor slapped down with his tail and she fell. Gliscor used Earthquake and Jolteon fainted.

I sent out Silvally into battle. Ash gave it a weird look.

"Uhh, what is that?"

I smiled. "It's called Silvally. One of my friends gave it to me to take care of. Now, use Multi-Attack."

Silvally hit head on, but Gliscor managed to keep climbing up into the air.

"Oh no you don't. Silvally, use Ice Beam."

We hit directly once again, and down went Gliscor. Ash has one Pokemon left.

"Alright, Sun. It's time to show you our true power. Greninja, let's go."

Out came a ninja frog. I recognize it from this morning.

"Alright. Let's get stronger and stronger together. Let's GO!"

In moments, Greninja was enveloped in water, and transformed. It had a large Water Shuriken on his back. I noticed it looked a lot like Ash.

"Use Thunderbolt."

"Dodge and use Night Slash."

Greninja dodged with great speed and struck Silvally over with a dark blade of energy.

"Use Aerial Ace."

Silvally was hit by a barrage of hits and was taken out in a moment.

"Alright. Time for an old friend to play. Go, Lopunny."

Out came my last Pokemon. I hit the Keystone pinned on my hat, and Lopunny was covered in light.

"Lopunny, respond to my aura. MEGA EVOLVE."

In moments, our hearts connected and she mega evolved. I was confident in this matchup even though it will not be easy. I have seen the Kalos league after all.

"Alright. Greninja, use Water Shuriken."

"Fake out."

Before Greninja could move, Lopunny stunned him with Fake Out. I decided to take my chance.

"Use High-Jump Kick."

We hit head on. Greninja was forced to the floor. However, he still got up.

"Greninja, use Aerial Ace."

"Clash with Close Combat."

Greninja and Lopunny clashed with multiple punches and kicks. Greninja managed to push us back some.

"Use Water Shuriken."

"Block with Close Combat, then finish with Return."

"Night Slash."

Lopunny pushed away the Water Shuriken and Charged with Return while Greninja went with Night Slash.

There was a clash, with both Pokemon on different sides. Only one attack one, but we didn't know who. We waited in silence.

Lopunny winced and bent over. Greninja smirked, but winced, and fell to the ground, transforming in the process.

"Greninja is unable to battle. Lopunny wins. The winner is Sun."

I cheered and ran to Lopunny. She reverted back, and was trying to stand. I supported her some.

"Great job Lopunny. I am very proud of you. I knew you could do it. Now take a nice long rest." I returned her into her Pokeball.

Ash walked up after returning Greninja and we shook hands.

"That was close Ash. You gave me a run for my money that time." I said.

"Really? Thanks Sun. That means a lot."

I leaned into his ear. "You are lucky I didn't use my Legendary on you Ash."

He froze while I laughed. "Don't worry. I wouldn't stress you out that much."

He sighed in relief. I heard extra cheering behind me. I turned around to see Lillie run up and give me a hug.

"That was amazing. I didn't even know you got a Lopunny." She said.

I smiled. "Day care couple found it as an egg and nobody claimed it. So they gave it to me. That's how I got it."

"That was amazing, Sun. Lillie told me you were powerful, but I didn't want to believe it."

I turned and saw Moon standing there, and my heart dropped some. I don't know what to do right now.

Moon looked at me weird, but realized what I was thinking. She put on a forgiving expression.

"Sun, don't worry. I forgive you now. Lillie helped me understand how much hurt I put you through so long ago. I am sorry for putting you through that." She apologized.

I sighed in relief. "Ok thanks, and I forgive you too. For a second, I thought you were going to tell me off about me being a trainer or something."

Ash looked lost. "Should I ask?"

I looked at him. "Probably not."

We all laughed. I was just happy for the fact that a friendship I thought I lost, I had finally regained. I don't plan on losing another one either...
