4. Erza
I walk with purpose, towards the stairs and up to the second floor to start the tour. The entire first floor is purely recreational, filled with booths and tables, and a huge snack bar, which is almost always full. I explain this to the blonde. When you walk in through the doors, the first thing you see is the large Fairy Tail insignia that hangs on a tapestry above the snack bar, on the far wall. Around the room are the tables and chairs, and to the left and right are columns of support beams, seven down each side, which hold up the balcony. The balcony makes a U shape, tracing the wall on every side but the entrance. The two stairs that lead to the balcony are in the far corners. Yeah, the first floor has a very tall ceiling. I focus back on where I'm going. The same stairs that open up to the balcony also lead all the way up to the roof.
I check to make sure I'm still being followed. Levy, who knows to walk faster, is right there, but trailing behind is the new girl. As she catches up to us, I realize: the new girl is pretty. She seems nice, and she has really big bosoms, which I'm slightly jealous of... whatever.
"Um, thank you?" A voice pulls me out of my thoughts, and with a quick turn of my head I see that it's the new girl. She's blushing, and staring at me, while crossing her arms around her chest. I feel Levy next to us stiffen a little, but I don't think much of it. I know Levy's sensitive to other people, especially when it comes to things like our fla-
"Your name is Erza, right?"
"Yes, and you're Lucy, not Luigi." I reply, smiling at the blonde. Her face turns a little red as she replies.
"Ugh, the nerve of that boy! Lucy is very clearly not Luigi!" She frowns for a second, before going back to staring in awe at the Fairy Tail building. I think about Natsu, and the way they came in together. Maybe he just needs a nickname for Lucy, so he'll never forget...
"Hmm, but what kind of nickname?" Lucy walks faster, probably realizing that I will in no way slow down for her.
"On the second floor we have individual classrooms and computer labs for doing work or studying. Fairy Tail still appreciates teaching its children the basics of education, while teaching them to be strong mages and members of our family." I grin and think of my Fairy Tail crest, the strong blue that does not give room for any questions.
"Powerful..." Lucy says, lost in thought. "It almost sounds as if you rehearsed that."
I have to concentrate so I don't accidentally roll my eyes. As if I'd be able to practice that kind of speech. Nobody is let into Fairy Tail anymore. The council doesn't like to add to our numbers.
"That's a shame. Why is that?" Lucy is certainly a curious little child, isn't she? Her face suddenly flushes with embarrassment, and Levy grabs her arm. They have a silent exchange, and I face the wall to try and collect myself using the methods I've always done. Remind myself why Levy and I are close. Remind myself why I am a member of Fairy Tail. Remind myself of the good that I, and that Fairy Tail has done. Remind myself of the grades that I have. Remind myself that I have friends I dare to call close within Fairy Tail who care about me, no matter what I may say...
I feel a tug on my skirt, and turn my head to look at Levy. She still has a bright smile plastered on her face. I can't tell if it's the same one she always has, or if it's caused by something that happened with Lucy. She shows me a message on her little board.
'I'm going back to the guild. See you.'
I nod and watch her walk away, back downstairs, towards the main room of the guild. I turn back to Lucy and continue my seemingly pre-rehearsed tour.
"The gym and pool are in the basement. Every guild has fitness equipment, as well as training rooms. Those are on the third floor and roof." I smile, just thinking about the roof dojo. The newest part of the Fairy Tail building, the dojo on the roof is easily my new favorite room.
"It does sound really nice," Lucy agrees. "So you must train very hard. What... what is your magic?" She seems very timid when asking that question, as she should be. I widen my eyes, before immediately narrowing them. How could she ask a question like that?! Doesn't she know what that means, what that stands for? When you just meet a person, you don't go and ask them what their magic is! You might as well cut off their foot while you're at it!!
My face burns red, but I take a deep breath, collecting my thoughts. Lucy is standing there, frozen in fear, her mouth screwed tight.
"I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. I'm going back to the first floor now..." She silently and awkwardly dismisses herself, walking backwards down the stairs, probably to make sure I don't pounce on her.
After she's out of sight, I take a couple deep breaths. Lucy really is a curious girl. Dangerous for the likes of me. All those questions she kept asking me... no wonder I scared her off.
Sometimes I just can't control my thoughts.
