Nico's POV

The last few days were hard. I've been nauseous with a headache. Going to the vet was hard too.  I hated being in cat form. And I panicked a bit when Will told me I was sick since the vet lady wouldn't tell me anything. It was good that Will's parents didn't pay me any mind most of the time. I was "Will's responsibility". This meant I could sleep in Will's room in human form for as long as I wanted while he's gone and they wouldn't think to come check on me. But I really don't like being sick. The sneezing is annoying and I always feel like I want to vomit every minute of the day. 

I woke up in Will's room. It was strange. I remember falling asleep on the couch with Will. I wish I didn't, we were watching Adventure Time. The vampire queen was hunting down other vampires and gaining their powers. I fell asleep not even half way through the first hunting episode. Will was going to have to show me that episode later. I got up from the rug, my nose beginning to run almost immediately. I wiped my nose, sniffing and pulling the extra sheets off Will's bed and wrapping it around myself. I walked to the door, attempting to open it. Key word: attempting. It wouldn't open.

I panicked, pulling at the door handle again. It wouldn't open. I began banging on the door, unsure of what to do. Why was it locked? Did it lock on accident? Did he lock it? If so, why? I kicked the door, my throat aching too much to shout. I stopped as the handle jiggled a bit. I smiled as the door began to open, thinking it was Will. When a different boy opened the door, I was terrified. The kid's eyes bulged out of his head and he stumbled backwards. I yelped, pushing back him and tiring to run. 

"Woah! Hey!" The boy called to me as I felt something pull my tail.

I tried to scream but my throat hurt so much, it came out as a cough. I fell face first into the ground, kicking to try and get away from the other boy. I was pulled back and I cried out again. 

"WILL!" I cried, tears pricking my eyes.

I was relieved when Will came running up the stairs. The boy let me go and I jumped up, running into Will and clinging onto his shirt. I buried my face in his shirt, shaking. Will wrapped his arms around me in a gesture I hadn't experience in a long time. 

"Cecil! I thought I told you to stay out of my room!" Will growled.

"I-I did! I just heard banging on the door and I opened it. I didn't know you had a Neko!" The boy said, his voice still sounding shock.

I heard footsteps and then a female's voice. "What are you- Woah! Who's that?"

Will took a step back, taking me with him. He turned, pulling me away from his body. "Are you ok Nico?"

I nodded, wiping my nose again. "I-I'm sorry. I just woke up and the door was locked. I got scared. I didn't know you had people over."

Will shook his head, hugging me again briefly. "I should have told you. I'm sorry."

Will turned around, making me visible to his two friends. There was a  boy and a girl, just as I thought. I looked down, wanting to shrink behind Will again but he held me in place.

"Nico, these are my friends. Cecil Markowitz and Lou Ellen. Guys, this is Nico," he introduced us, his friends waving silently. I looked down, wiping my nose once more.
