A week past. Yuki just glared at me, Chrissy became more friendly, and I was starting to become shy again. I had been in my early days at this school, but then I became the quote, 'bully'. Now, I was slightly more shy, and the 'bully' title had been passed to Necra, Silly's slightly older brother. He was very protective of his sister.

Chrissy has also shown us that she likes music. A lot. She is an excellent singer. Me, Taurtis, and sometimes J, Pepe and Patty, stay after school on Thursdays to watch her practice in the gym. Even Rowan was impressed.

It was the third week since Chrissy came to school. It was a Monday. Okami was teaching, telling us about our next assignment (about math), when Taurtis got a text on his phone. It said, "@Taurtis Can you meet me at Salex and Gareth's graves at lunch? I need to tell you something. Please don't bring Sam. I need to get this off my chest, and I can only tell you. Please Taurtis. -Chrissy"

I glanced over at Chrissy. She was sitting with her eyes focused on Okami, like that text wasn't sent from here. Then she gave Taurtis a wink.

At lunch, Taurtis walked outside. I followed him quickly, then hid in the bushes. Chrissy arrived soon. She looked ready to cry.

"Taurtis," she said quietly. "First things first: I like Sam. I've liked him a really long time. Before I even came to this school. Yes," she said, shushing Taurtis. "I'll explain. But I really do. I always feel nervous around him, which is why I can only say short sentences to him before I get choked up. Second thing: my father's the leader of the Yakuza."

My mouth fell open. The Yakuza is the business that me and Taurtis set up a drug bust on. They even rigged our apartment and tried to kill me, but Taurtis says that we just have to 'get to know them'.

"They are trying to kill Sam," Chrissy continued. "My father sent me here because he wanted me to get more information on Sam. That's why I knew you and Sam before I came here. Father's been trying to get all information possible on him. I-I.." Chrissy burst into tears. "I'm worried Taurtis. What if they do kill Sam? I couldn't live with myself. I would kill myself. Please make sure Sam's staying safe. And don't tell him that I like him. If father finds out-" She didn't finish. She sank to the ground and cried. Then she whispered, "They killed Salex too."

Taurtis looked shocked, but he recovered quickly. "I'll make sure," he said quietly. "And I won't tell Sam."

"T-thank you Taurtis," Chrissy said softly. She got up, dried her tears, and walked away. Taurtis nodded and walked towards me. We both walked all the way around the school back to the cafeteria. Along the way, we talked.

"I can't believe it," Taurtis said. "They killed Salex too?"

"I told you," I said. "I knew they were trying to kill me. But the leader, being Chrissy's father? I never expected that."

"She was really upset. She's terrified for you, Sam."

"I know. What am I supposed to do?"

"Keep yourself out of trouble. Stay in the background. Don't make yourself an easy target for the Yakuza."

"Okay. But that's still shocking."

"I know."

We walked into gym class and lined up.

"ALRIGHT MAGGOTS," Rowan said. "START STRETCHING!" We jumped and stretched and jumped and stretched, until we were dismissed to the lockers.

"Taurtis," I said. "I feel bad."

"Why?" Taurtis asked.

"Because I listened in one something Chrissy specifically wanted me not to hear. I'm going to tell her that I know. And, you know, I think I like her too."

"Oooooh, yes." Taurtis made a face at me that told me his approval.

"ALRIGHT," Rowan said as we exited the locker rooms. "TODAY WE'RE PLAYING DODGEBALL, BECAUSE I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE." Everyone grabbed the dodgeballs, a.k.a toilet paper, and took their positions. I was on a team with Taurtis, Chrissy, and...Invader. She immediately ran over to me and made a 'cute' face in my face. I turned around.

"AND..." Rowan said. "GO!" Everyone started throwing. We all got hit, but no one cared. We were having fun. I laughed the entire time. Pretty soon, the bell rang.

"CLASS DISMISSED!" Rowan yelled. As I walked out, I saw Chrissy and Sookie sitting next to each other on a bench. I heard Sookie say something.

"You don't want to date Sam. He's a weird nerd. What could be worse? Plus, he tried to get me to marry him by becoming a girl and deceiving me. You belong in my squad, Chrissy. In the cool kids."

"I don't care that he's 'weird'," Chrissy said. Sookie sighed.

"Fine. Your choice. But when you get tired of him, come back to me. Again, you belong with the cool kids." Then she left. I walked passed quickly, trying to not let Chrissy see me as I blushed scarlet. Maybe I did like her. Then I remembered I was going to tell her about what I heard. I turned back around.
