Chapter 20
It was evening time. The entire working population of Ahemdabad was currently heading home, and that could be the reason for its traffic jammed roads. One such person was twenty-year-old Sameer Maheshwari, who was returning from his memorable movie date with Naina Aggarwal.
Well if you ask him the truth, he absolutely hated the film, since he wasn't used to watching such boring and family oriented kind of films. Kya film thi yaar, hero ne ek ladki se pyaar kiya, lekin shaadi uski behen se ki. Phir uss pehle wali ke saath bhaag gaya, par pyaar uski behen se karta hai. Banata kaun hai aisi filmein. He cursed the film for some more time, but then the complacent face of his Naina suddenly flashed in front of him, and a smile appeared on his face. He couldn't deny, that the excited and happy sight of his girl, gave him much more thrills than even the famous Sylvester Stallone stater "Rambo" ever would. His girlfriend was quiet happy after watching the film, so he could successfully make out that their first movie date was a success for her. Ho sakta hai mere saath phir se chale, aur thoda aur paas baithe. He was definitely ready to watch thousand such films, given that Naina comes more closer to him the next time. His happy fantasies were broken by the sound of honking coming from behind him. Apparently, the jam has cleared.
Sameer reached home at least half an hour later, thanks to the horrible Ahemdabadi traffic. As soon as he reached his house, he quickly rang the doorbell and Ramdhari opened the door. The house was quiet, like it always is, and Sameer sometimes finds it rather annoying. He was heading to his room, when he was met with a loud and cheerful voice,
"Pakad liya bhai"
As he recognised the familiar voice, Sameer turned back to see his step brother coming towards him, and a very excited looking Nanaji following closely. Dressed in a casual blue t-shirt and matching blue jeans with a wide grin on his face, Rohan looked absolutely thrilled to see Sameer. Sameer immediately jumped from the stairs and engulfed him in a hug. The brothers stayed like that for a few seconds, after which Nanu joined the embrace . After they broke the hug, Nanu patted their foreheads and said,
"Aaj mere dono naati saath mein hai. Main bahut khush hoon."
Rohan grinned at Sameer, which Sameer returned wholeheartedly.
"Sameer ab jaldi jaake fresh ho ja, phir khaana khaate hai. "
" Par Nanu Rohan abhi toh aaya hai, humein thodi der baat toh karne do. "
" Are ab toh Rohan yahin par hai. Tu jaldi jaake ready ho ja, khaana khaate huye donon baatein kar lena."
After some protests from Sameer and Rohan, and some stern instructions from Nanu, a grumpy Sameer found himself heading to his room, while Nanu and Rohan settled at the dining table. Sameer took a bath and changed into comfortable pair of blue pyjamas as fast as he could, and fifteen minutes later, the trio found themselves on the dining table. The arrival of Sameer's Delhi's brother was quiet a special affair, so Ramdhari actually invested some efforts and time in cooking (not that it happened much), and prepared a generous meal of paneer curry, dal makhni and rice, though it's taste was a different matter all together. The trio ignored the meal's not-too-decent taste and focused on their conversation instead.
Rohan had just finished telling Nanu and Sameer about how he was bored in Delhi and how he convinced his grandmother to send him to Ahemdabad, while Sameer controlled the urge to tell them about the woman's evilness. The conversation then shifted to the VJN atmosphere, following which Nanu remarked that Rohan will be in Sameer's class, much to the happiness of the two boys. Finally, the conversation landed on Sameer's friends, and thankfully shifted from the elections and the unsatisfactory measures from Prime minister P. V. Narasimha Rao.
"Bhai aap apne dosto ke baare mein bata rahe the. "
" Rohan mujhe samajh nahi aata ke tum mujhe bhai aur aap kyu bulaate ho, sirf paanch maheene chhote hi toh mujhse."
"Ha lekin ab toh aadat padd gayi hai. Accha ab yeh sab chhodo aur mujhe batao.
"Chalo tumhe maaf Kiya. Tumhein bataya tha na ki mere teen bhai jaise dost hai, Munna, Pandit aur Arjun. Munna aur Pandit toh ek number ke gadhe hai, aur Arjun unse thoda Kam gadha hai. Par jaise bhi hai, teeno kamaal ke hai. Kabhi mera Saath Nahi chhodte. Hum chaaro bachpan se Saath hai, aur har kaam saath mein karte hai-khelna koodna, padhaai, hasna, rona sab kuch. Ek gaadi ke chaar tyre hai. "
Rohan listened attentively as Sameer elaborated about his friendship with his three buddies. Both Nanu and Rohan couldn't miss the twinkle that Sameer's eyes had, when he was supposed to speak about his three lifelines.
"Are Rohan tumhein ek baat toh batana bhool hi gaya, main iss baar college ke President elections ladd raha hoon. "
" Sacchi. Yeh toh kamaal ki baat hai. Aap toh kaafi busy honge aaj kal. Matlab aap cricket team ke captain bhi ho, aur aapko elections par Bhi focus karna padd raha hai. "
"Abe tu pooch mat. Jab se college start Hua hai tab se yaa toh cricket tournament, ya toh election campaigning. Pagal ho gaya hoon main. Parso speech deni hai aur uske agle din voting hai. Thank God ladkiya humare liye poster aur baaki sab bana deti hai, warna hum chaaro ko yeh sab thodi na aata hai."
"Kaun si ladkiya bhai" Rohan asked "innocently" and a mischievous grin adored his face. Even Nanu was quiet focused on the answer. Sameer looked at their faces and sighed.
"Aap dono zyada mat socho. Mera matlab tha Arjun ki behnein Naina aur Preeti aur unki best friend Swati. Woh teeno first year mein hai aur elections mein humari help kar rahi hai. Ab toh humare group mein hi hai. "
" Matlab aapke dost ki behnein Bhi aapke group mein hai. Kamaal hai. "
" Arey tu unse milega na, toh tu bhi yahi karega. Woh kya hai na teeno abhi school se pass hui hai, aur humein hi dhyaan rakhna padta hai ki teeno safe rahe aur ragging wagera na ho. Dekh Swati toh puri filmy type ki pagal si ladki hai, aur ab toh Munna ki girlfriend bhi hai. Munna ko bahut pehle se pasand thi woh. "
" Aur baaki dono ladkiya? "
" Phir Arjun ki cousin Preeti. Preeti toh paagal si hai. Padhaai wagera mein zyada dhyaan Nahi hai. College mein bas matargashti karne aati hai. Lekin uske idea kabhi kabhi acche Bhi hote hai. Aakhir mein uski sagi behen Naina....."
"Are Rohan wo toh bahut pyaari bacchi hai. Ek dum sundar aur sanskaari ladki hai. Sameer ko toh pata hi hoga. Woh use kaafi acche se jaanta hai. " Nanu finished and looked at Sameer, who coloured very deeply under his gaze. Rohan tried to look as if he didn't get anything, but Nanu's emphasis on the words acche se jaanta hai was giving him certain hints.
" Ha Nanu... umm... main use jaanta hoon, woh.... Arjun aur main bachpan se dost hai na isliye. Lekin acche se nahi. Bas yeh pata hai ki Uski handwriting acchi hai aur woh accha likhti hai. Usne election ki speech likhi thi na. Bas aur main Nahi jaanta. "Sameer finished and pretended to be busy in finishing his rice. Nanu coughed loudly in amusement, while Rohan bit his lip in understanding.
" Bhai woh likhti Bhi hai. Arey waah, waise uska koi boyfriend hai kya. " Rohan looked quiet interested and glanced at Nanu, who coughed even more loudly now. But Sameer didn't like the question.
" Tumhein kya matlab hai. Woh bahut bholi bhaali hai aur main..... matlab hum usse ladko ke aas paas nahi rehne dete. Aur ha woh tumhari behen jaisi hai, itna interested mat ho. " Sameer looked quiet angry now, while Rohan laughed inaudibly. Nanu's guesses were proved right, so he simply mouthed an "ooh". The topic of Naina Aggarwal wasn't picked up again, since Sameer was intelligently dodging such questions, while the other two occupants of the table had already got the answer they wanted. So the conversation continued smoothly.
_________________________________________
The very next day, Sameer got ready for college, earlier than he does since he had promised to show the college to Rohan. The excitement to study with his brother wasn't any less from Rohan's side, and one could say that, because he was completely dressed even before Sameer. The boys bid their farewell to Nanu and drove to the college in Sameer's car.
The VJN was completely uninhabited, as it always is during the early hours of the morning. However, it was the perfect time for Sameer Maheshwari, who was quiet happy to avoid the clingy college girls, his college's too-curious-to-know-about-cricket boys and the monkey Karthik and his group of idiots. Overall, it was a brilliant opportunity.
He gave a nice and elaborate college tour to his brother, who liked the quiet college atmosphere and the decently dressed girls. Well, Rohan Somani wasn't a fan of revealing and short outfits, and that was a good reason for his mild or no interest for the Delhi upper class society and it's girls. The tour ended some forty five minutes later, when Sameer pointed out that his friends must have arrived till now. The brothers then headed to the Red Rose restaurant, since Sameer had instructed everyone to meet there.
On their way, they encountered a large number of Sameer's fan girls, something which they were planning to avoid. Well, the college was again filled wasn't it. They avoided as many as curious people they could, and every now and then, girls came to them asking if they could provide any help to Sameer's brother. Sameer slapped his forehead in frustration, while Rohan grinned amusedly.
Finally, after about fifteen minutes of struggle, they managed to reach the Red Rose restaurant and Rohan exclaimed,
"Bhai aap toh bahut popular ho. Saari ladkiya fan hai aapki. "
Sameer grinned at his teasing brother, and opened the door of the Red Rose, only to find his entire gang in the Red Rose. One look at the door, and all his friends' eyes widened in recognition. The next ten minutes were spent in the introduction of Sameer's friends and a brief description of stories of all those previous years. The three boys took a immediate liking for Rohan, and by all means, he felt the same. Finally, their conversation shifted from the cricket, and Sameer took the opportunity to introduce Rohan to the girls, but to his disappointment, Sunaina and Mitali were also present there. He ignored them wholeheartedly, which he always did. "Yeh mera bhai Rohan hai aur...", He pointed to Swati and exclaimed, "Rohan yeh Swati hai, " then he pointed to Preeti and said, "Yeh Preeti hai aur woh Naina hai. Maine kal bataya tha na."
Rohan came forward and shook his hands with the three of them, though his gaze had lingered on Preeti for a little while longer.
"Bhai ne tum teeno ke baare mein bataya tha. Suna hai tum teeno election ke poster banane mein maahir ho. " He pointed out and grinned.
Before the three girls could reply, Sunaina had decided that she had been ignored for long enough and introduced herself arrogantly,
" Hi Rohan right.... Main Sunaina hoon. Mere papa Mr. Parekh ke baare mein suna hi hoga tumne. Ahemdabad ke bahut bade businessman hai aur.... ", she pointed towards Mitali, who was busy staring at Rohan like a idiot, "yeh meri best friend Mitali hai. Waise hum log milte rahenge, after all humara tumhare ghar aana jaana laga hi rahega. Sameer ne bataya hoga mere baare mein. " She finished and looked flirtatiously at Sameer.
However, Rohan wasn't impressed. One look at Sunaina's strapless dress, and Mitali's shorts, he understood that Delhi wasn't the only place which suffered from girl's-short-clothes syndrome. Moreover, he was disgusted by Sunaina's open declaration of being richer than the others. But Sameer simply rolled his eyes and ignored Sunaina's existence yet again,
"Rohan maine tumhein saare important logon ke baare mein bata diya tha. Swati tum kuch keh rahi thi. "
Soon, the girls began chatting with Rohan and it took him only a few minutes, to realise how pure and simple they were. He definitely liked this rare quality that they had, and his eyes adored the sight of a certain girl, who goes by the name of Preeti. The latter was also eyeing him with interest, though she tried to play cool about it. On the other hand, Sunaina was irked that no one was giving them any attention. Rohan noticed the infamous Naina Aggarwal and how she was secretly trying to catch a glimpse of Sameer. Well, though they have only met a few minutes before, he was completely ready to give his blessings to both of them. She was everything that Nanu had described- cute, simple, beautiful and most of all, full of values. He was very much satisfied with Sameer's choice.
"Yaar main bhookh ke maare mara jaa raha hoon. Please kuch khila do. " Munna interrupted and began patting his stomach. Sunaina eyed him disgustingly, while others laughed. Soon the gang, with addition to Sunaina, Mitali and Rohan, settled on their trademark table, which had eleven chairs now, thanks to the new members. Naina sat at the far end and Sameer made sure that he was sitting beside her. Before Sunaina could occupy the chair next to him, he pulled Pandit towards him and forced him on the chair. Left with no other option, Sunaina sat next to Pandit. Munna occupied the other end of the table, followed by Swati and Arjun. Mitali sat next to Sunaina, and patted the chair next to her to indicate Rohan to sit there. Rohan merely rolled his eyes at her and sat beside Preeti, leaving an empty chair in between him and Mitali. Though Preeti wanted to sit next to Swati or Naina, she didn't have a choice but to settle between Rohan and Arjun.
Mitali looked quiet displeased that Rohan had chose Preeti instead of her (though it was only in sitting arrangements). She immediately pushed back the empty chair between her and Rohan, and the next moment she spoke,
"Rohan tum apni chair mere side par shift kar lo, wahaan sab kaafi congested ho rahe hai na"
Rohan was about to decline, but then Arjun interrupted him,
" Rohan woh sahi keh rahi hai, tum thoda uss side shift ho jao. Phir hum sab aur comfortably baith payenge. "
All eyes were on Rohan by now, so he indeed shifted his chair, but then an idea strikes his mind,
" Preeti tum bhi Meri side shift ho jao, woh dekho Arjun ko kaafi kum jagah mil rahi hai na. "
Preeti pulled her chair and sat a lot closer to Rohan now, though Rohan shifted his chair only a bit. Then, Munna again cribbed about how he was feeling very underfed and he wants to eat something. The gang then finally decided to order the food.
"Aaj Rohan aaya hai toh sab party karte hai. Bill main pay karunga. Jisko jo khana hai khao",Sameer declared loudly and grinned at Rohan, who smiled in response.
"Sameer tumhein jitna mana kar le, mera, Naina aur Swati ka bill toh tum rozz hi pay karte ho. Aisa lagta hai rozz college party karne aate hai "
"Are Preeti insaan ko hard din party karni chahiye. Yeh sab choddo, Aaj kuch special order karte hai."
The gang then observed the menu properly, and this time even a very grumpy Pandit was reading the menu properly, since Sameer had threatened him with, "Pandit aaj tujhe samosa nahi milega. Kuch aur khaale." To his next, Sunaina was telling Mitali about how she would go for dhokla since it was lighter and had less fats, though Mitali wasn't listening to her. She was busy staring at Rohan, who looked a bit confused as to what he should order.
"Menu mein english mein likha hai, faarsi mein nahi ke tumhein kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai. " An amused Preeti whispered to Rohan, who looked at her with surprise.
" Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha ke main kya mangwau, tum hi bata do. " He grinned at Preeti, who blushed seeing his gaze on her. She nodded lightly and began scanning the menu again.
" Yeh Pasta kaafi accha hai, aur yeh Bread pakoda toh mera favourite hai. "
" Lekin ismein bahut fats hai. Sabko apni tarah gavaar samjha hai kya. "Mitali interrupted them, and grinned flirtatiously at Rohan. She then continued," Yeh cream roll accha hai, yahi mangwalo. Yaa phir yeh dhokla Bhi kaafi light hai." Preeti was quiet angry with Mitali, but she chose to ignore both Rohan and Mitali, and went back to choosing for herself.
"Thanks for the suggestion lekin main ek pasta aur ek bread pakoda manga lunga. Preeti tum aur main uss mein se share kar lenge. " It was Preeti's turn to be surprised now. Rohan then asked her about what else did she like in the menu, while Preeti answered him. Some more moments, and the duo became busy in conversing with each other. Mitali watched the pair with anger and jealousy, but Sunaina patted her hand and claimed her attention. When Mitali finally turned to her, she whispered,
"Dono behnein ek jaisi hai. Ek Sameer ke peeche padi hai.... " She glanced angrily at Naina who was laughing at Sameer and Pandit's jokes, "aur ek Rohan ke peeche. Tu tension mat le."
Mitali was shocked by this statement and tried to look as if she didn't get anything,
"Main kyu tension lungi"
Sunaina then slapped her arm teasingly and said,
"Dekha maine, ki tu kaise Rohan ko dekh rahi thi. Waise accha hi hai. Main ghar ki badi bahu, aur tu meri devrani. "
Mitali blushed at her statement and went to scanning the menu. On the other end of the table, Munna was convincing Swati to eat chow mein, though she didn't looked convinced.
"Aye Pandit tu toh chow mein hi khayega na."
"Munna mujhe chow mein nahi khaani, dosa khana hai."
"Nahi tu toh chowmine hi khayegi."
"Munna usse jo khana hai khaane de, ladd kyu raha hai. "
" Abe Arjun filmo mein do pyaar karne wale ek hi cheez khaate hai. Hum Bhi aisa hi karenge. Swati tu sun...... ", So the war continued.
Opposite them, Sameer was absolutely bored with Pandit's jokes and he held Naina's hand lightly and whispered, "Aaj pav bhaji nahi milegi. Kuch aur mangwate hai. Umm..... pizza mangwate hai. Aur yeh maggi bhi acchi lag rahi hai. Hum dono share kar lenge"
Naina merely nodded at him and looked a bit uncomfortable. Sameer wasn't used to such silence from her, so he patted her hand for a bit, but she barely trembled and looked as if she was in pain. He was extremely worried by now. What's wrong? Before he could question her further, the shrill voice of Sunaina interrupted everyone,
"Sameer please sabka order lelo "
Sameer looked extremely displeased at the interruption, but stood up for the orders since everyone had decided what to order. Sunaina and Mitali settled for dhokla and cream roll, while Arjun ordered bread pakoda for himself. Rohan and Preeti went forward as planned, and Sameer was forced to order samosa for Pandit because of his depressed words, "Bhai iss gareeb ko samosa khila de, bhagwan tera bhala karega". A victorious Swati asked for a dosa, while a grumpy looking Munna settled for chow mein. Nine campa colas and one mangola were added to the final order, and the gang finally sat down to eat.
Now, Sameer began discussing the tasks which they had to complete today,
"Dekho ab sab ek ghante baad class attend karke, music room ke aage milenge, aur chalke pehle toh poster banaenge. Aaj jitne ho sake utne poster banaenge, kal time Nahi milega. ", he then turned to Naina and said, "Naina speech tumhein likhni hai, toh tum please aaj day end tak mujhe woh speech handover kar dena, taaki main use yaad kar Lunga." he again addressed the others, "Kal final speech hai, toh koi gadbad Nahi honi chahiye."
All the others nodded in response and began voicing some more points that they should keep in mind. The food too arrived some time later, and everyone concentrated on stuffing themselves. Swati was eating chow mein from Munna's plate, much to his immense happiness while Arjun rolled his eyes at the couple, but later smiled at their cuteness. Rohan and Preeti were busy eating pasta from the same plate, and Rohan was pushing back Preeti's knife as much as he could, while she was giggling. Mitali was banging the table in annoyance, and Sunaina was trying to calm her down. Pandit was relishing his samosa and remarking about how he missed it's taste, though he forgot that he had eaten it just yesterday and that, he ate it everyday. Sameer was trying to get Naina to eat something, but she was refused him yet again.
"Naina tum kaho toh main pav bhaji mangwa deta hoon. "
" Nahi Sameer mujhe bilkul bhook nahi hai"
"Naina aise bhooki mat raho. Kuch aur manga deta hoon. Aaj itna ajeeb behave kar rahi hoon. Tumhein chott lagi hai kya, aisa lag raha hai ki kahin dard ho raha hai" He asked her desperately.
"Nahi main theek hoon. Accha please ek chocolate pastry manga do. "
" Lekin Naina pastry se pet kaise bharega. "
" Sameer please"
Sameer didn't poke her any further. He quickly ordered two chocolate pastries and instructed to make it quicker. The pastry arrived five minutes later, thanks to Sameer's promise of giving extra tip. Naina then finished all the chocolate present on the pastries, and she didn't look any interested in eating the rest of it. Before Sameer could ask her anything, his attention was claimed by Pandit who wanted to ask about the cricket practise schedule. Sameer's gaze again went to Naina, after she flinched uncomfortably and gave a mysterious look to Swati, who looked very worried now. She stood up and quickly spoke,
"Main aur Naina class ke liye nikaal rahe hai, raaste mein kuch zaroori kaam bhi hai na." Swati gave the same mysterious look to Preeti, and gestured to Naina. Preeti quickly got up and the three girls hurried outside the canteen. Once they had left, Pandit scratched his forehead in confusion and spoke,
"Badi ajeeb hai yeh ladkiya. Chalo choddo. "
The rest of them began discussing about cricket, but Sameer's attention was focused on Naina. She had left suddenly, without even talking to him. She looked too uncomfortable today, and Sameer somehow knew that she was in pain. His attention was again claimed by Arjun, who was telling about his strategies when Sameer will give his speech. The latter listened to his friends quietly, though he was still very worried about his girlfriend.
Twenty minutes later, the boys were heading to their classroom, when Sameer's gaze lingered on the ground, where he saw the three girls. Swati and Preeti were muttering some instructions to Naina, who was looking quiet despondent. He observed them for sometime longer, and five minutes later, the two girls left, while Naina turned to the main door. She began walking towards it, and Sameer quickly muttered an excuse to the four boys, and ran away. He quickly descended down the stairs and ran towards Naina, who was a little away from the gate now. He blocked her way and looked around to see if anyone had noticed them, while Naina was shocked to see him. Luckily, no one had seen them. He quickly grasped her hand and walked towards the nearby isolated tree while Naina followed him quietly. Once they were properly hidden and safe, he turned to her and spoke,
"Naina kya Hua hai. Mujhe kuch toh batao. Tum itni pareshaan kyu lag rahi ho. Aur yeh tum Kaha jaa rahi thi"
Sameer asked her desperately while Naina looked quiet uncomfortable,
"Sameer main ghar jaa rahi thi. "
Sameer was quiet shocked as to why she wanted to go home when the first period was about to start. Was she okay?
" Naina tum ghar kyun jaa rahi ho. Kya Hua. Canteen mein bhi ajeeb behave kar rahi thi. Abhi toh first period Bhi start Nahi hua hai. "
Naina looked even more worried and tears were forming at the corner of her eyes,
" Sameer please samjho. Main tumhein nahi bata Sakti. Mujhe jaane do please. "
" Naina main tumhara boyfriend hoon na. Aisa mat karo please. Tum mujhe kuch Bhi bol Sakti ho. Main pakka kisi ko nahi bataunga"
Naina finally gathered some courage, but she was shivering in fear. Would he understand? What if he laughs at her? What if something even more worse happens? "No", her Sameer is not like that. He cares for you. She finally resolved her mind and spoke somewhat shakingly,
"Sameer woh mujhe...... mujhe na woh.... ladki.... ladkiyo wali problem hai"
But Sameer was confused,
"Matlab main kuch samjha nahin. "
Naina's gaze was fixed in the ground, and she spoke even more slowly now.
" Sameer woh hard maheene waali"
Now Sameer got the hint. Apparently, his girlfriend was on her monthly cycle now. He tried his best to appear casual about it and ease her embarrassment.
"Umm.... accha. Main... matlab samajh gaya. Lekin tum ghar kyun jaa rahi thi. "
" Woh mujhe napkin nahi mil raha tha na. Mere bag mein tha, lekin aaj main doosra bag le aayi. Preeti aur Swati Bhi arrange nahi kar paye.
Sameer then decided to help her out. She shouldn't go home due to this issue. He spoke softly,
"Naina toh kya hua. Ismein rone ki kya baat hai. Main laa deta hoon. Paas main ek chemist ki shop hai. Main was an se laa doonga. "
Naina was completely shocked by now. How can he get her a pad? It was wrong wasn't it? What will he say to the chemist?
" Sameer tum kaise jaoge. Tum rehne do main...... "
But Sameer was firm in his resolve,
" Nahi tum bas yeh batao ki kaun sa wala lana hai. "
Naina started fidgeting with her bag, but spoke more firmly now,
" Stay free ya whisper woh..... Chhota pack. "
Sameer nodded at her and headed to the main entrance of the college, while Naina walked over to the nearest bench to wait for him. During this period, she couldn't help but think about how he was so different from the others. He understood her problem and didn't even make a fuss about it. Even after knowing such a tabooed topic, instead of judging her, he behaved so calmly about it and helped her out. Which man gets sanitary napkins for his girlfriend! She couldn't help but admire all his qualities and her heart was again hard hit due to his deeds, like it had so many years back, when he had eased her from the pain of Taiji 's cruel words. She felt herself falling for him, yet again.
Sameer arrived fifteen minutes later, with a neatly newspaper-wrapped packet and handed it to Naina.
"Ab tum class mein mat jana. Woh toh ab tak khatm ho chuki hogi. Tum kaam khatam karke music room pahuch jana posters banane ke liye"
Naina quickly nodded and went towards the washroom, while Sameer went to the Music room. The others were already present there and when they inquired about his whereabouts, he simply brushed it off and said that he wanted to meet the principal. Naina arrived ten minutes later, and Preeti and Swati were shocked to see her. When they asked her about how she came here, Naina told about how she borrowed napkin from a girl and managed.
The gang then concentrated on the impending task of preparing posters. Munna still wasn't writing properly, but this time, he had Swati, who was helping him write more clearly. Preeti was helping Rohan with the slogans and providing information about how they were preparing posters earlier. Pandit was still writing extremely small words and Arjun's posters still contained missing words, but they didn't have anyone to help them. Mitali was busy glaring at Preeti and Sunaina was glaring at Naina. Neither of them attempted to make any posters whatsoever. On the other hand, Sameer had instructed Naina to sit on a chair and work on the speech, while he was making posters on her behalf. Every now and then, she muttered some instructions to him, and he simply nodded or smiled.
Ten minutes later, Sameer coughed twice and claimed Naina's attention. He looked around and slipped a chocolate in her hand but quickly went back to preparing the posters so that no one sees them, while Naina happily smiled at the wonder called Sameer Maheshwari!
