(Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by people dying. Either it's in game or it's in real life. Someone is dying as we speak, a lot of people are dying. People die everyday, it's just how life is. Someday I'll be dead, but I want to make a broken reality into a fixed reality.)

*Y/N's POV*

It was the day after visiting the Clarks. I put the button on my desk when I got home and was ready to get back into A.R.E. and end it once and for all. I grabbed the button and put it into my pocket. I grabbed the helmet and put it on.

*In A.R.E.*

I looked around and saw I was sitting on the living room couch. I don't remember sitting down but whatever. I see Chad, Michelle, and Cody looking at me.

Y/N: "Is there something wrong? Why are you guys looking at me?"

Chad: "You are the fucking leader dumbass! If you have forgotten, there is a VR war going on."

Y/N: "No shit, it's not like a message popped up saying a VR war started."

Michelle: "There seems to be a new tab we can access."

Y/N: "New tab huh?"

I swipe my hand down and the menu opened. I see a tab called "MAP". Why the fuck do we need a map for? I open the map and see a huge amount of players in one spot.

Cody: "What do you think it's for?"

Y/N: "It let's us know if there is a giant fight going on. Currently, there is a fight going on. A war to be exact. That spot might have the rest of the players there."

Chad: "Then what the fuck are we waiting for?! Let's fucking go kill them all!"

Michelle: "Do you have a plan at all Chad? Or are you just looking to run in and die?"

Y/N: "Took the words right out of my mouth."

Cody: "Does anyone have a plan?"

Michelle: "We should scout things out first. If we run in without knowing whats going on, then we will die. We watch from somewhere where they can't see us."

Chad: "What are you? The Co-Leader?"

Michelle: "Might as well be since you suck at thinking about plans."

Chad: "Keep talking shit and see what happens, emo bitch!"

Michelle: "You wanna repeat that?"

Chad and Michelle get in each others faces.

Y/N: "You guys going to kiss yet? Or are we going to go and scout this shit out?

I get in between them and I look at Chad.

Y/N: "You ready shit for brains?"

Chad: "Whatever, let's fucking go already."

Cody: "Hey bro, can we talk real quick?"

I look at Cody and back to the others.

Y/N: "Sure. Guys, give us a minute and we will head out."

Chad: "Better be quick."

Cody and I walk away from Michelle and Chad.

Y/N: "So, what did you want to talk about?"

Cody: "Well, I'm ranked now."

He shows me his rank.

Y/N: "You do know you can't go back now right? Something bad can happen now."

Cody: "I want to help you guys with this war. I don't want to sit back and do nothing."

Y/N: "I understand, but I don't want anything bad to happen to you."

Cody: "I'll be fine."

Y/N: "Fine, just be careful. Do they know about this?"

Cody: "They do."

Y/N: "Alright."

I turn back to Chad and Michelle and walk past them.

Y/N: "Let's go."

*Timeskip*

We made it to an exit of a forest that showed a parking lot outside of it. There was a lot of people there, all fighting. We hid behind some trees and watched. People were dying so fast. Soon enough, there wont be anyone else left.

Chad: "Are we going to join the fight or what?"

Michelle: "Are you asking to die?"

Chad: "Are you fucking threatening me?"

Y/N: "She is saying that if we go out there now and join then we will die."

Michelle: "Let's just wait until there are a few people left."

Chad: "Fine."

I look over at Cody and see him shaking.

Y/N: "Cody, if you are scared then you can log out still."

Cody: "No, I'll be fine."

Y/N: "You aren't used to seeing this kind of shit. You aren't ready for this. You are shaking right now, it's okay to back out."

Cody: "And you are used to seeing this?!"

Y/N: "I've seen this before. In a different VR game that was similar to this. I killed in it and watched others get killed. I wouldn't say I'm used to it, but it needs to happen if anyone wants to win this game."

Michelle: "Wait, what happened to the gun shots? I don't hear them anymore."

Chad: "Same here."

I look around the tree and see two people standing there. One girl and one guy. Behind them was a shit ton of dead bodies.

Boy: "We know you are there."

Girl: "Just come out."

I come out from behind the tree.

Y/N: "Did you two do this?"

Boy: "We did most of it. We joined in a bit late."

Girl: "It was fun while it lasted. How about we have some fun with you and your friends?"

They know they are here as well?! How do they even know?

Y/N: "Guys come out."

Cody, Michelle, and Chad come out and stand next to me.

Y/N: "Cody, Michelle, you two take care of the girl. Chad and I will take care of this guy."

Michelle: "Alright."

Cody: "Y-Yeah."

Chad: "I could take this guy on my own."

Y/N: "Now isn't the time to act tough, these two are the last people we need to deal with."

I go to point my pistol at the guy but I felt it get kicked out of my hand.

Boy: "I don't think so pal. We aren't using guns in this fight."

I look at the others and they didn't have their guns either.

Chad: "I don't need a gun to kill you jackass!"

I watch Chad run at the guy and go to punch him, but the guy catches his hand and knees Chad in the stomach. Chad falls to his knees and starts coughing blood.

Y/N: "Guys! Be careful! These two are high levels with high stats!"

Boy: "Thanks for noticing."

I look to my left and see him right in my face. He kicks me in the stomach and sends me flying into a light post. Knocking it down and I cough blood out.

Cody: "Y/N!"

Girl: "Now I kinda want to watch them go at it and then I'll kill you two."

I start to slowly get up and see him walking towards me.

Chad: "You bastard!!"

Chad goes to punch him in the back of the head, so I get up and charge at the guy as well. The guy catches Chad's arm and throws Chad into me.

Y/N: "Get off of me dumbass!"

I kick Chad off of me and look at the guy. He's fucking with us. Good thing I decided to bring a spare pistol.

Y/N: "Guess what."

Boy: "What? This better be good."

Y/N: "Say goodbye to your girl."

I say that and quickly pull the pistol out and shoot it at the girls head. She falls to the ground with blood coming from her head.

Y/N: "Seems like you were carrying her to this point huh?"

Boy: "YOU'RE DEAD!!!"

I go to aim at him again but I couldn't turn in time. He punched me in the stomach and I bent over in pain and coughed some blood. He kicked me in the stomach and sent me flying and rolling on the ground. Michelle tries to stab him but he punches her and she falls over. Chad jumps on his back and tries to choke him out but gets thrown over his shoulder. I try to get up but fall back down.

Chad: "What's the plan now?!"

I try to get up again and manage it this time but before I could look at the guy I heard a gun shot. I looked at him and saw a bullet hole in his head. His body fell over and I saw Cody holding the pistol.

Michelle: "I was not expecting that."

Chad: "Me neither."

Michelle: "This means that we are the last 4 players then."

Cody drops the gun.

Cody: "I...I just killed someone..."

Y/N: "Cody? It's going to be okay, just trust me."

Michelle: "I think it would be best if Cody and I logged out. I did say I was only going to help you get to the end. Do you have that mirror on you?"

Y/N: "Yeah, let me grab it."

I put my hand into my pocket to grab the mirror, but then I heard two gun shots. I looked up and saw Cody and Michelle both dead...

Chad: "Now it's just us."
