If I wrote MCD (Part 5)

Ooooo we're on Season 3!!! Well, technically in the timeline of the original series, the start of season 2 but, you know what I mean!

Anyway, to establish where we are at right now and to clarify any confusion, the people who went into the Irene Dimension are Aphmau, Laurance, Dante, Katelyn, Nana, Lucinda, and this mysterious guard dude...which I am going to introduce in a moment. Oh and also Zane! Aphmau now has the relic and such, then battles Zane. After they defeat him, Zoey opens the portal and they all escape, bringing out an unconscious Zane! Okay, that should make everything clear in case of any confusion! So no, we will not be returning to the Irene Dimension or having that whole subplot. I solely want the main focus to be on discovering more about the divine warriors, Shad/Shadow Knights, and Irene's magic. Phew, that was a lot so let's get into it!

So, they are gathering themselves after going through the portal, Zane still very much unconscious from everything. Aphmau, after taking a moment to really look at their rescuer, sees that it's Zoey. She probably hugs her, overjoyed to see her after saying goodbye, from her perspective, days ago. This also signals to Aphmau that some time has passed but, nothing that alarms her at the moment. She is confused as to why Zoey seems to be emotional.
Zoey's emotions also gets the others' attention, Laurance and Dante being extra suspicious of her reaction. Zoey, finally having the strength to be honest with them, tells them all that it has been fifteen years since they all disappeared. They all have a pretty big reaction. Lucinda probably demanding more answers, Nana and Katelyn gazing at each other, Nana leaning in for a hug, the mysterious guard being more silent than usual, but Aphmau, Laurance, and Dante have the most drastic reaction, running off to the direction of Phoenix Drop. They are frozen to see that their newly built wall now looked decrepit and old. The gates were long gone, vines growing over the structures of the village. The homes being only remnants of what they once were.

I want their reactions to be very telling of them as characters. Dante, since being younger than the others, probably is in disbelief, trying to be positive about the whole thing. Laurance is completely silent, now mentally thinking about his sister and what had become of her and their family. Aphmau though is the worst. Seeing all that she had worked hard for being gone, is too much as she starts to have a full blown panic attack. Dante is the only one able to show any comfort before Zoey catches up to them. Aphmau immediately demands where Levin and Malachi are, Zoey calming her down and saying that they are in the village, waiting for them.

Ah now I get to do a character introductions to the boys!

Levin -> So, Imma be honest. I don't remember much about Levin. And that's not a good thing. He a ducking lord and I can't recall a single thing about him. So I definitely want him to be the typical 15-17 year old guy. Probably very charismatic, charming, and overall, shows great qualities of a good leader but, is still immature at times due to his age. I think this is also a great opportunity to highlight the historical aspect of this show as yes, a teenager can obtain the title of Lord. This being the first time the fact will be showcased in the show up to this point.

Malachi -> Again, don't remember much besides that the fandom ships him with Yip...if someone could clarify to me as to how that became a thing, it would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, I want him to the be the level-headed brother, kind of like Vylad, as he probably is centuries older than Levin. Also to clarify, as I didn't write it in a previous part, Malachi is now back to his human form. One plot thing I will change is that Zoey in the eleven forest, with her elf friends, found a spell that would give him a second chance at life. But...there's a catch. It's his soul attached to another body. So yes, it's Malachi but some other body. This can introduce that you can bring people back to life but there is a cost to the spell. Luckily, this body was of a boy elf who had died young and the parents wanted to do some good...maybe. All you need to know is that it is consensual! But yes, Malachi is essentially the level-headed, calm, and wise older brother who just calms Levin down throughout the story. Think of...the 2019 Aladdin where Aladdin is rambling about jams and the genie is like "stop talking about the damn jams"....that's Malachi.

Aphmau reunites with them in the new, barely grown Phoenix Drop. Levin, Malachi, and Zoey with a few additional people, had returned about a year prior and have been slowly rebuilding. Especially since Levin is now of age to take on the role of Lord and no one stepped up to the plate prior. But here's what I want to change about this. I want the new Phoenix Drop to be seen as a village of magic users. So these "additional" people are actually other elves, werewolves, meif'was, and other creatures that had heard of Lord Aphmau's kindness and generosity, and want to rebuild with those same values.

But yes, the reunion is sweet and very emotional. (Side note: I don't think Zoey got enough credit for basically, taking on the role of primary guardian of Levin and Malachi for the majority of their childhood, and not wanting to be in the role of mother to them. She instead insisted and maintained that Aphmau was their true mother. Like geez, Zoey is 100% boss queen and she deserves to be in Mystreet. Okay...im done) The others have caught up to them, the mysterious guard finally asking what they wanted to do with Zane. Levin looks immediately concerned, pushing his fears aside and said that they could use one of the sheds they had to keep him there with rope or something. The mysterious guard offers to guard the place as well. Once they take care of that, the others join Zoey, Levin, and Malachi at their home base and immediately start asking questions.

They find out how Malachi becomes human again, how they spent a majority of their time in the Elven Forest (idk how to spell that place so just calling it this), Zoey researched where the group could've have possibly gone, only finding out a year later that they had disappeared during the battle, and they had spent the past year here rebuilding. This then opens a whole new load of questions, the first of being, where the hell is Garroth?

Zoey looks a immediately uncomfortable, Levin and Malachi completely confused, Levin asking; "You know Garroth Ro'Meave?"

This just makes everyone even more confused. Then, Zoey basically dumps a whole bunch of information on them. She explains to them that Nicole and Cadenza had found Garroth unconscious in the woods with Zane's guards after the battle, which ceased once O'Khasis couldn't find their commander. Once Garroth did wake up, he explained to them what had happened and it launched a large manhunt for the others. But, after a year of searching, everyone assumed they were dead and the search stopped. Garroth had sent Zoey a message that told her the upsetting news and told her that he would be returning to the guard academy as Phoenix Drop is slowly becoming abandoned and recommends for her to stay in the forest with the boys. He also tells her that if she needs him at all, to go to the guard academy and ask for Rowan. Basically telling the audience he went back into hiding.

Also by the way, she has all these letters, to Levin and Malachi's surprise as well. Zoey apologizes to them of course as she didn't know if Garroth wanted other Lords to know besides his close friends. Anyway, she then explains that by what Garroth had told her, she knew exactly what to look for, sparking her research into the pendant, finding out what realm/dimension they could've traveled to, and how to find them. All while doing this, she keeps Garroth updated through letters but, his messages ceased after another year. She admits that she had grown worried and since she needed more books and information, she traveled back to Ru'an to hopefully accomplish her goals. Possibly even have Garroth come with her. But when she arrived to the academy, she discovered that Rowan was kicked out of the academy after failing his duty for the third time.

Okay so quick side note, I'm going to be doing something new with the guard role in this world. Basically there is a three strike system where if the individual guard fails their duty three times, they are removed of their titles and prohibited to perform the role of guard. Also...they cut off their sword hand to prevent it. So yeah, you want medieval? This is fucking medieval bitches!

So yeah, that information immediately made everyone uneasy. Zoey explained though that though worried and disappointed, she continued her research but also kept Garroth in the back of her mind. She explains that throughout the first fourteen years she occasionally returned to Ru'an to get more information for her research and to keep herself updated. For years she heard nothing from Garroth, and she had assumed that maybe he unfortunately passed or was working as a servant somewhere. Then, one year, probably seven years after their disappearance, she returned and heard that a new Lord had come into power at O'Khasis. Garte had passed some few years ago after much deterioration after his last son had gone missing, and was taken over by a not so very kind Lord right after. Now, after taking the city, they new Lord had come in with a child and the blood of a Ro'Meave. That's right! Garroth is now the Lord of O'Khasis! Boom! And yes...he has a child. We'll get into that tidbit later.
Anyway, Zoey reveals to them that this new Lord is Garroth and he has kept this title for now the remaining eight years and has made O'Khasis return to its former glory. She admits that she doesn't know much about him or if it's really him and not an imposter as she hasn't been able to make contact with him but, it relieves the others to hear that he might be okay. And to Aphmau, it's hope that the person she holds close to her heart might be alive and well. Even though there may be a child.

Levin then interrupts the moment to say that he's then going to take the initiative to reach out to the Lord of O'Khasis and say that Aphmau had returned. If he was truly Garroth, then he would of course invite them to his village or travel to them.

So yes, a subplot of this season is going to be meeting/finding Garroth. And spoiler alert it is him so not that big a of deal but it adds mystery and excitement to the season I think.

Moving on from that, Laurance requests that he go travel to Meteli to see Cadenza who is revealed as well to be the new Lord after Hayden had passed. That of course is just extra motivation to go for Laurance as he has now lost yet another father figure. Aphmau of course allows him to go, Dante offering to go with him for support. The two of them travel over there, breaking from Aphmau's personality again.

Without warning, Laurance and Dante arrive in Meteli to see that it has flourish to a rich and prosperous village of agriculture. Golden wheat fields line the land in great number and Laurance can also see that farm animals are in huge quantity. Also the docks have grown to become a huge fisherman port. Laurance at first probably struggles to convince her guards that he is indeed her brother Laurance Zvahl, Cadenza eventually storming outside after hearing word that yet another poser had come to bother her. She freezes, seeing him and the two have a very emotional and sentimental reunion...

Dante is probably awkwardly standing there...alluding to his own family.

Cadenza, after inviting them inside, is thrilled to hear that they all had returned and explains that she has worked with Levin within the past year to help rebuild Phoenix Drop. She sees great promise for it to become sort've like a magic capital of Ru'an, since the nation hasn't had one for centuries after magic users becoming very taboo. Healing magics being the exception. She also tells them that Meteli has become the trading, farming capital of the nation after the land has become very fertile in the last decade. Laurance and her also catch up on more personal matters, her saying that Hayden died only two years after Laurance had disappeared so at least Laurance was assured that he didn't just miss him. She also is clearly very single but, in a romantic relationship with her head guard, Zach. We also are introduced to Zach, Vincent, and Cloud...who basically mirror Garroth, Laurance, and Dante.

The two become are hit with the realization even if they were to see Garroth again, it would be different. He'd be well into his thirties, with a different life and motivation besides being the head guard of Phoenix Drop. Dante is saddened mostly as he knows he has probably now lost another brother. Laurance on the other hand is left to comfort him and to wonder what had become of the blonde, hopeful that he has made something of himself, just like Cadenza. Meteli is basically used as way, besides Phoenix Drop, to show the audience that things are permanently different and there's no going back.

God...this is already so freaking long this is probably like episode three of the season. Well, this is going to be more than two parts. See you guys in the next one! Bye!
