If I wrote MCD (Part 4.5)
Okay, we're back. Sorry for splitting this up but, the last part already had 3000 words and it was about to be another thousand, especially since this is basically rewriting the last ten episodes of the first season so, let's dive in.
Laurance, Dante, and Katelyn return. It's a decent size army, which pleases Aphmau but, everyone knows that it is still significantly smaller than O'Khasis'. They try to remain positive and Aphmau explains the battle strategy to the other Lords to relay it to their armies. Everyone agrees it's the best they got and with the wall protecting Phoenix Drop's boarder, they at least had that to retreat to. Also, a mysterious stranger is in one of these armies, and he looks familiar to Aphmau...
One scene I want to see is Laurance debating whether or not to fight for Phoenix Drop or fight for Meteli. Aphmau assures him that she won't be hurt by him choosing to fight next to his sister but, after some debate he decides to fight for Phoenix Drop, as they were the people who welcomed him with open arms when he was blind and had nowhere else to go. Basically, I want to show the audience that Laurance has truly stepped up to be this responsible and caring guard, a big difference from when you first meet him. Also, this just bonds Laurance closer to Aphmau and his friends he's met there, making it clear to the audience that Laurance is now taking Garroth's original role as advisor/good friend since Garroth now holds more of the romantic interest role at this point in the story. Or at the very least shows the audience that Aphmau and Laurance are now very important to one another and he's basically the second most important male in her life. It's a very sweet moment and I want to see Laurance take on a more substantial role than just another love interest...especially since Jess had no clue what to do with him after Aphmau's decision was made.
ALLOW ME ONE ROAST!
Next, I want a scene where Laurance, Dante, and Katelyn notice Garroth acting a bit strange. Especially when a patrol guard announces that O'Khasis has set up camp not far from the village. Once Aphmau leaves with the other Lords and dismiss everyone to rest for the night, they pull him aside to ask him the hell is up. Garroth just explains, especially since he's grown close to them all, that he wishes there was a simple solution to this instead of war. They basically love slap him by saying that just giving himself up is not the best solution under any circumstances. Basically just bringing in the love for my mans Garroth before he goes through a traumatic experience....
YOU DIDN'T READ THAT!
But, Garroth still feels all defeated and that pep talk really just gave him all the motivation needed to enact his plan. That night, when everyone is asleep, he sneaks out and heads towards the O'Khasis camp. There, guards apprehend him and take him to Zane, who is admittedly surprised to see him there. Garroth offers to return to O'Khasis as long as he calls back his army and he can continue having contact with Lady Aphmau and his new found family. He also argues that their father ultimately didn't want this as it would just weaken their forces. That's when Zane reveals that Garte had no idea about this conflict and everything was controlled by Zane. That still didn't change much for Garroth as his offer still stands, whether their father was aware or not.
Zane expresses that, as much as he was pleased that Garroth came to his senses and that they can hopefully move on from all of this, he wasn't the only reason he was there. He then explains to Garroth that there was ancient material underneath the grounds of Phoenix Drop that improves magic summoning. That's why he attended the wedding and left the amulet/pendant behind to let it absorb some of that energy to hopefully strengthen it to open a portal. A portal to the Irene Dimension where he could finally retrieve the relic and resurrect Vylad, so that their family can finally be normal again. Having Garroth to just so happen to be in Phoenix Drop was a plus. Garroth is immediately shocked and tells Zane that he's insane to listen to legends, saying that doing all of this put too many people at risk, especially since he doesn't know what type of reaction the pendant will have at it's full capacity. Zane brushes it off and says that he will grant Garroth's conditions if he snuck back in tomorrow to retrieve the pendant. Garroth obviously denies this, saying that he would have no part in it. Zane then sighs or something, seemingly giving up and saying that he'll just come up with another way. Instead, he completely shifts to a more upbeat mood, pouring them both a drink to celebrate Garroth's return. He agrees to Garroth's conditions and says that him returning would be worth the trouble. Garroth takes the drink, hesitantly. Zane cheers to a better and stronger future for the both of them, watching as Garroth takes a sip as he pretends. The older brother immediately gets a pain to the head, dropping the cup and struggling to remain standing. All the audience is left with is Zane pouring his out and the camera closing in on an empty emerald potion bottle.
So, yeah, we're tying in the emerald potions. Boom!
Moving on, the next morning, Aphmau is awoken to the others exclaiming that Garroth is missing and Zane's army is at Phoenix Drop's gates. As Lord, even though she's worried for her head guard, she decides to deal with Zane first as she ultimately assumes that Zane has him anyways. She meets him at the gates as her and other Lords' armies gather behind her to discuss any last minute peace talks.
Zane teases her about visibly being distraught, bringing up Garroth. Alluding to her that he does indeed knows where he is. She demands Garroth to be handed over or there's no use in talking. Zane shrugs and says so be it. He was going to do it either way to create a distraction for now a mind-controlled Garroth to sneak back into the village to retrieve the pendant from Lucinda's cottage.
The war starts and all that typical war stuff happens. I don't really know how else to explain it. You think about it. Aphmau is ultimately separated from Nicole and Cadenza, which was expected but Laurance, Katelyn, Nana, Dante, Lucinda, and that one mysterious guard (who was mainly there to cover Lucinda who was doing her magic stuff), had all come together. Aphmau was determined to get to Zane to hopefully figure out Garroth's whereabouts but, the stranger from the corner of his eye sees Garroth slip deeper into the forest. The group runs after him and calls for him, to no avail. They eventually find him, handing over the pendant to Zane, who has guards besides him. Everyone is in shock to see Garroth helping Zane but, Aphmau with further examination sees the green hue in his eyes and knew something wasn't right but, played along to see what it was all about. Zane basically plays the whole "look who came to his senses" card, laughing at their foolishness. He then commands his guards and Garroth to protect him as he starts the ritual. Then a huge, big battle between all of them commences.
Aphmau runs straight to Garroth, facing him head on. Luckily, with some training from him in the past, she's able to withstand a fight against him long enough to urge him to come to. It's not working until she's on the ground, Garroth above her about to strike, dropping his sword and drawing a dagger to make it more personal. As one last effort to pull him back to reality, she pulls him close, unexpectedly, and into an embrace, feeling the tip of the dagger against her breastplate, saying; "I love you."
She feels the dagger fall to the ground, his arms slowly wrapping around her as he slowly regained control. She gasps and pulls away, seeing cerulean blue instead of bright, neon green. His eyes are filled with remorse but, nonetheless, she kisses him out of pure relief. When they part again, she quickly gets back into business and says they'll talk about this later. He smirks and agrees, the two ready to face Zane together, his other guards now taken care of from others there.
But they're too late, the pendant glowing brightly. Zane sees from the corner of his eye on of his guards pushing himself up. He knows what will happen next and what the consequences are, so he was not going to allow his mother to be completely childless for how many years because of him. He gives some sort of signal to the guard, who acts immediately, grabbing ahold of Garroth and pulling him back, Aphmau screaming no before a white flash of light consumes everyone. The last time we see Garroth this season is him reaching out to his friends who are either gazing at him or taking the first step to help him.
Then, the next image the audience sees is Aphmau, Laurance, Dante, Katelyn, Nana, Lucinda, and the strange guard all standing in front of a cathedral. They all rush in, having no clue on what else to do, seeing Zane already at the alter, in front of a artifact that we can assume is the Irene Relic. He reaches out, about to grab it but, it insteads teleports to Aphmau then disappears. Seeing this angers him just like the original show. But instead of a Jury of Nine form, or his Edmund Relic form, because either A I didn't write it in to this or B because secretly he's already revoked the relic's power to Garroth...
YOU DIDN'T READ THAT!
Instead, the power from the pendant is acting as a form of power for him, transforming him to this powerful being. Then another battle ensues, the group together fighting off Zane. This hopefully will demonstrate how well these people all work together so that next season, which all of ya'll already know what's gonna happen, there's still a good dynamic so that audience isn't freaking out...too much. Anyway, they win by some miracle, Zane going unconscious after the magic has worn off.
While the mysterious guard checks his vitals, the others are left to wonder what to do next. It's a couple of minutes before a portal with Zoey appears, them all taking a run for it, Laurance and the strange guard grabbing Zane before escaping.
END OF SEASON 2
Phew...that's a lot. But I hope you all enjoyed my season 2! To reiterate, I know this is still technically season 1 on the OG show's terms but, I'm splitting it all into two as I feel the first part of season 1 was lore with a little bit of action while the second part was little bit of lore with a whole lot of action. ALSO just because my explanation of season 2 took longer to explain, I fully point the blame to me as I went off the rails due to excitement a few times so...
WITH THAT ALL OUT OF THE WAY, let me know how you guys are liking it in the comments below and if you guys have any ideas for future updates! Also, again special thanks to PurpleCrystal04 ! I truly only went back to this because your comments made me feel motivated to do so!
LOVE YOU ALL AND OOP, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Treat people sweet!
