It's been exactly 57 years now. 57 years since the doomed of mankind began. It all happened so fast. With the clouds darkening, turning a dark red color before raining blood. Water-like blood that carries alien virus that turns every human it came in contact with as zombies.

Those who survived took refuge in highly protected places. Building their own safe haven and making their numbers grow. 5 years after the end they slowly began learning about the new way to live. Killing zombies and getting their cores or what they call Stigma Stones, for some it's called Demon Stones or Cores.

By consuming these stones a normal human will evolved as a Hunter. Each time he or she consume a stone he or she will level up, the lowest evel is a warrior. With this new system each leveling will help every survivor fight off the new zombies, which have evolved or mutated as well.

Jeon Jungkook was born 33 years after Doomsday. He was one of the lucky ones to have been born without any weird stuff happening to him. As some of the babies born under the reign of the deadly virus had died with complications like extra zombie limbs, weird black veins in their bodies or deformation.

So he's 24 yrs old now, turning 25 soon.

"Jungkook. We have a mission." Kim Namjoon said as he walked up to the younger who's currently looking out into the eerie woods surrounding their base.

"How long do you think can we survived with food getting lower and loweras the years go by? We may have an underground garden and all but can we really survived like this?"

"Kook I know how you feel about all this. That's why we are being deployed in this mission. Your father wants us to look for a possible place with factories that can still be used. And we still have those uninhabited islands that have natural food in them."

Jungkook turned to look at their leader. He had looked up to the older ever since he was assigned to his team. He admired his selflesness and quick mind. Namjoon had served as more of a Father to him than his actual Father.

"Alright. When do we leave?"

"Tomorrow so make sure to get enough rest. Pack your stuff especially weapons." Namjoon gave the younger a quick pat on the back before heading off to look for the other members of his team.

Jungkook stayed at his spot after Namjoon left. He didn't have the strength to move yet. All he wanted was to think of a lot of things. His 24 years of existence was spent on doing nothing but survive. Not like the old days where you play outside like there's no tomorrow.

He was trained at a young age to fend himself incase of any danger or if the base wss infiltrated. He spent all his young days on training to be stronger and consuming the cores his Father had collected for him. That was how his life went for the past years.

Nothing fun ever happens except when they go oit for missions where he can explore the remnants of the old world.

"I wish things were different." Jungkook let out a sigh before heading back to his room to prepare his stuff.

Meanwhile somewhere far away. Taehyung stumbled out of his home, an old building which is surprisingly still intact for all those years. He couldn't talk yet as he needs to evolved more but his mind is back, he wasn't controlled by his zombie side anymore.

All his days was spent in gathering cores to make himself stronger. But as the years go by normal zombies are disappearing as more are killed for their cores. And more stronger ones appear making his task more difficult especially when it comes to Mutant Zombies who's far stronger.

But his greatest foe is the Ultra Zombies or what's right to be called as Aliens. Aliens as the virus has finally taken full control of the bodies and became the main host.

Taehyung let out a grunt that was suppose to be a whine if he could only talk already. He slowly headed off south to try and look for zombies which are lower than his current level. He just hopes he gets lucky this time unlike yesterday. He accidentally stumbled upon an Ultra, the spider-like creature was making its lair when he disturbed it.

He was nearly killed but good thing he has acquired super speed. Surprising really, as not much evolved zombies acquire such abilities. But he has been consuming cores for 40 yrs now so it's no surprise. So to say, he's the first in zombie history (if that's even a thing) to ever gain abilities without being human. Well he is human but that was 50 yrs ago.

The first 10 yrs of his life as a zombie was all but wander around looking for food. But once cores began showing up his instincts kicked in. Every zombie began craving the core to level up. It was a battle of the strongest for them while for humans it's the battle of the fittest, smartest, strongest and fastest.

He does remember saving a group though. He found them fighting against an Ultra so he helped to take down the very weakened Ultra which was a bonus for him as its core is highly leveled up and with great attributes.

I know I have lots of stories unfinished but this story is just a filler.

I won't be publishing the next chapters soon.
