"You're not a saviour"

It had been a week since mine and Tom's kiss in the nightclub and I had barely spoken to him since. I was slightly grateful for his schedule being so full with interviews and photoshoots despite him technically being on a break, as it meant that he was never at my house during the day and so the only awkward times were meals, made slightly less awkward by Harrison always being there too. I loved the boy, but he had helped me cheat on my boyfriend and the kisses were seriously fucking with my head. I snapped out of my mind, shaking my head to rid myself of the thoughts as I stood in my room, in front of my full-length mirror. I studied my scarcely clad body, smoothing out the skirt that barely covered my panties before slightly adjusting the bralette that I was wearing. I nodded in approval and applied one layer of maroon lipstick before grabbing my bag and heading into my kitchen, where Harrison and Tom were, Tom's back facing me.

"I'm just saying that Batman would definitely beat Spiderman in a fight." Harrison chuckled before his gaze drifted past Tom and to me, his eyes widening.

"Jesus." He scoffed, making Tom look over his shoulder at me. His eyes widened and he turned around fully to look at me, his eyes skimming up and down my body.

"What the bloody hell are you wearing?" he scoffed, though obviously trying to keep his eyes on my face as he gulped harshly.

"I'm going out, and this is what girls wear when going out." I shrugged.

"Wait, where are you going out?" Harrison asked.

"Out. Just out." I mumbled, knowing that my two best friends wouldn't be fond of the idea of me out and partying by myself.

"Not dressed like that, you're not." Tom scoffed. I looked at him.

"Tom, you're not my boyfriend, so stop acting like it." I nodded, looking straight into his stunning doe eyes. But I was trying not to think about that right now. Tom clenched his jaw at me.

"I'm not trying to be." He stated.

"Yeah, right." I scoffed, barging past him. Suddenly, he took my wrist, making me turn around to look at him.

"If you're trying to send me a message, I get it. Don't put yourself in unnecessary danger just to get back at me-."

"Unnecessary danger? Fuck you, Tom. I don't need you to look after me. You're not the saviour that you love to think you are." I spat. His eyes wavered at my words and he dropped his hand, letting me go. I gulped, trying not to cry as the regret started to set in.

"Mate, just go." Harrison mumbled.

"Don't wait up." I returned before opening the front door and slamming it behind me.

Alcohol coursed through my veins, the pumping music making my head hurt as I stumbled through the house, the liquid slightly sloshing out of my red plastic cup. I blinked harshly and collapsed against the wall, finally admitting to myself that I was absolutely and utterly fucked. After all, it had felt like the best way to forget about the situation with Tom, as well as get back at him a little. Or at least it had been before I had drank so much that my vision was blurred. I looked down at my phone, the fuzzy numbers 2:30 am staring back at me. My eyes widened slightly. I had been invited to this party, the host being a friend of Zendaya's, and had planned to stay for half an hour at the most. That had been four and a half hours ago. I gulped as I unlocked my phone and scrolled through my contacts, knowing that Tom would be so pissed off at me calling at this time, but also knowing that he'd also rather be annoyed at me than have me dead. I scrolled to his number and sighed before pressing it and putting the phone to my ear. After just one dial tone, he picked up.

"Y/N? You okay? Where are you?" he spoke in a rushed and worry-laced voice.

"I-erm, I don't really know, I'm at someone's house, I think." I slurred, looking around slowly.

"Y/N, darling, I know that you're fucked right now, but "someone's house" doesn't help, do you know whose house it is?" he asked. My eyebrows furrowed slightly at how caring he was being. After all, we were in the middle of a fight and I wouldn't be surprised if he was beyond mad at me for pulling this stunt, so it shocked me slightly to hear him still caring for me.

"Ummm...it was that party that Zen invited us to, you know, her friend, the one with the hair, yeah." I nodded, giggling to myself.

"Do you mean Lyle's party? Okay, good, I know where you are, hang in there and I'll be there as soon as I can be." He replied, the sound of rustling in the background telling me that he was getting ready.

"Okay. In the meantime, I think I'm going to get another drink-."

"No, Y/N, no, unless that drink is water, do not drink anything else, do you hear me?" he scoffed.

"Booo." I pouted to myself before looking up. My eyes widened.

"Z! Hey!" I exclaimed, the frizzy-haired girl giving me a sympathetic smile as she leant down and wrapped her arms around me, pulling me to my feet.

"You okay, babe?" she smiled before taking my phone and looking at it.

"Oh, it's Tom, thank god." She mumbled, putting the phone to her ear.

"Hey, Tom, yeah she's okay, you coming to pick her up? Good, okay, I've got her until you get here, don't worry. Okay, see you soon." She nodded before hanging up and looking at me.

"You a bit drunk, babe?" she chuckled as she walked me into what looked to be the living room.

"Just a little bit. I drink to forget that Tom won't fuck me." I huffed, adding a pout as she gently dropped me onto the sofa.

"Oh, well, I'm sure if you asked him nicely, he would." She teased, making me give her a tired smile as she sat down next to me.

My eyes fluttered open and shut every few seconds, the urge to fall asleep greatly overpowering the urge to stay awake.

"Y/N?! Y/N!" My eyes fluttered open again as I heard Tom's voice, somehow louder than the pumping music. Suddenly, he rushed into the room, his eyes widening as he saw me.

"Jesus, are you okay?" he gulped, rushing to me and crouching down in front of me as he took my face in his hands. I nodded tiredly, making him look at Zendaya.

"She okay?" he asked.

"I mean, she's fucked, and she'll definitely feel it tomorrow, but yeah, she's okay. Though, Tom, I must ask why she got into this state. Has something happened between you two?" she asked. Tom sighed and looked back at me.

"It's a long story." He nodded before standing up.

"Come on, let's get you out of here." Tom mumbled, wrapping his arms around my waist and gently pulling me to my feet.

"I don't want your help, I can take care of myself." I slurred, pushing slightly on his chest.

"Y/N, I know that you're upset with me, but you're too fucked to walk right now, you don't know me at all if you think I'm going to leave you here, in this state." He scoffed, pulling me back into his body as he walked us out of the house. I looked up at the handsome boy as he focused on getting me back to his car.

"I'm sorry." I choked. He looked down at me.

"For what?" he asked.

"For what I said before. You are a saviour. You're my saviour." I nodded. He sighed, giving me a small smile as he looked back up.

"It's okay. I haven't handled this situation well. I've fucked about with you too much. Once you've sobered up tomorrow, we need to have a talk." He nodded.

"About what?" I asked. He looked back at me.

"Us." He stated simply. I gulped, suddenly feeling very nervous as he opened the car door for me. I climbed in, my nerves sobering me up quickly as Tom shut my door and walked to the drivers' side before getting into the car.

"Come on, let's get you home." He sighed, gently placing his hand on my knee as he started to drive.

Tom's P.O.V

Tom opened the door to his apartment, Y/N asleep in his arms as he carried her in bridal style. He had been staying at hers for the duration of his stay in London, but since being told that filming was now moving to London, he had re-rented his old apartment and he didn't want her to be alone in her house, so he took her to his instead for the night. He kicked the door shut as he headed to his bedroom, ready to finally get his drunk best friend into bed and asleep. He gently put her down on the bed, sighing as he sat down next to her. He looked at her sleeping figure, admiring how she still looked stunning, even in the state that she was in.

"What am I going to do with you, huh?" he sighed to himself as he took her heels off before pulling the covers over her small body. He gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and pecked her head before standing up and going to leave the room.

"Tommy." Tom turned around, sighing as Y/N's eyes fluttered open, her pupils still slightly dilated due to the alcohol flowing through her veins.

"You okay, darling?" he asked as he walked back to the bed and sat back down on the sheets next to Y/N's body.

"I'm sorry." She choked, tears pricking her stunning brown orbs. Tom sighed, giving her a small smile as he cupped her cheek.

"We'll get it right one day, won't we, sweetheart?" he chuckled quietly.

"I hope so. I love you, I don't want to lose you." She gulped.

"Hey, hey, you won't lose me, Y/N. I'm always going to be here for you." He reassured, leaning down so that he was almost lying on top of her. She gave him a small smile and nodded before looking at his lips. Before he knew what was happening, she leant up and pressed their lips together softly. But this time was different to the couple's previous two kisses. Somehow, Tom had been expecting this one. He returned the kiss, gently cupping her cheek to bring her closer before breaking the kiss and touching their foreheads.

"I love you, Tommy." She whispered. Tom sighed, keeping their foreheads together for a moment longer before pulling away.

"Love you too, darling. Goodnight." He mumbled, tears pricking his eyes as he stood up and left the room.
