The hotel
Tom and I walked into the hotel, my eyes widening as I looked up and around it. Since Tom, Harrison and I all came from relatively well-off families and went on holiday a lot, we usually stayed in nice places but never had I stayed in anywhere this nice.
"Tom, this place is gorgeous." I gawped, looking up at the glass ceilings and the beautiful chandelier hanging above us.
"Isn't it, darling? Oh, but do you remember that place in Paris that we stayed in? We must have been, what, sixteen?" he asked, taking my hand as he walked us to the front desk.
"Yeah, but this is still nicer, and that's saying something." I scoffed. Tom chuckled and shook his head at me before turning his attention to the receptionist.
"Hey there, room booked for Holland, please." He nodded, the receptionist returning it as she started to type away at the computer.
"Hey, Tom." We both turned around and I immediately rolled my eyes as Jenna walked up to us, a smile on her stupid face. She looked at me.
"Oh, hey, Y/N. I didn't realise that Tom was bringing you." She nodded.
"I'm his girlfriend, why wouldn't he?" I scoffed, narrowing my eyes at her.
"Play nice." Tom whispered in my ear, gently nipping my earlobe before looking back at Jenna.
"So, what you going to do here first?" he asked as he tried to make small talk. But all I could think about was why it was taking the receptionist so fucking long to get our keys sorted.
"Well, I thought that maybe it'd be an idea for us to knock out the hour of lines first, then we have the whole weekend to relax with it being over and done with." She nodded. Tom looked at me.
"You okay with that, sweetheart?" he asked, his hand gently cupping my waist still.
"Do I have a choice?" I sighed.
"Nope." He smiled, making me roll my eyes as he returned his gaze to Jenna.
"Sure, that sounds good. Give us ten minutes to get our stuff into the room and then I'll be across, yeah?" Tom asked.
"Okay. I'm in room three oh six." She nodded, giving Tom a flirtatious smile before walking away. I scoffed and shook my head, making Tom look at me.
"Hey." He spoke, gently hooking his finger underneath my chin and forcing me to look at him.
"Remember that I'm here with you, okay?" he nodded. I sighed and returned it, making me give him a small smile as he gently pecked my lips.
Tom's P.O.V
Tom knocked on Jenna's hotel door and waited for a response. After a moment, it opened, Tom's eyes widening slightly as she was only wearing a thin tank top and booty shorts.
"Hey, Tom, come on in." she smiled as she walked back into the room.
"Um...hey...you did know that I was coming over, right?" Tom checked, slowly walking in and shutting the door behind him.
"Course I did, silly." She giggled. Tom gulped, keeping his distance as he sat on the edge of the bed.
"Okay, so I think we should start with scene-." Tom's eyes widened as Jenna started to pull his jacket off of his shoulders.
"Woah, what are you doing?" he scoffed, shrugging his jacket back on and standing from the bed.
"It's warm in here, I figured you'd want to take it off." She shrugged.
"N-no, I'm good, thanks." He nodded. She shrugged again and returned it as he sat back on the bed.
"Okay, so let's start lines, yeah?" she asked, sitting on her knees next to him on the bed.
"Uh-huh, because that's what we're here for." He mumbled, keeping his eyes glued to the script.
"Okay, let's go." She spoke before putting down her script and looking into Tom's eyes.
"Peter, why didn't you tell me that you were Spiderman? Don't you trust me?" she scoffed.
"Lindsey, of course I do, I didn't tell you to keep you safe. I love you, I don't want to see you hurt because of me." He choked, crocodile tears forming in his eyes as he put on his best American accent. Jenna sighed and looked down, sticking to her character.
"I just don't want to lose you, Peter. One wrong thing in a mission, one inch too far in a bullet's path, and you could be gone, just like that." She gulped. Tom sighed, scooting slightly towards Jenna and cupping her cheek like he was meant to in the script.
"I know. But I'm still here, aren't I? And I promise that whilst I have you, I will always come back to you, okay?" he asked, looking into her eyes. Not that they were anywhere near as beautiful as Y/N's. Jenna sighed again.
"Okay." She nodded as she leant forward and kissed Tom's cheek. The boy's eyes widened, the move not scripted at all.
"U-um, yeah, that was good, well done." Tom nodded, clearing his throat as he scooted slightly away from Jenna on the bed.
"How about we run them again? This time with more...passion." She smirked. Tom's eyes widened as she placed her hand on his thigh, dangerously close to his crotch. So close that if she were to slightly move her finger, she'd be able to feel the edge of Tom's boxers through his jeans.
"Jenna, what the fuck? I have a girlfriend." he spat, roughly taking her hand from his leg.
"Yeah, you've made that clear. But Tom, we both know that I'm the better deal." She smirked before leaning in and pressing their lips together. Tom's eyes widened as the door opened and Y/N walked in, making him break the kiss.
"Y/N." he gulped.
Y/N's P.O.V
I sat on the hotel bed, scrolling through my phone as I waited for Tom to come back. I sighed as the "5% battery remaining" warning came up on my screen. I climbed off of the massive bed and opened my bag, starting to rummage through it in search of my charger. I groaned quietly as I couldn't find it. Maybe it's in Tom's bag, I thought to myself as I opened his backpack and had a quick look. Nothing. I sighed, chewing on my lip as I knew that I shouldn't interrupt his lines run, especially not for a charger, but my phone was about to die.
"Fuck it." I mumbled as I opened the door and headed down the hallway to Jenna's room, not admitting to myself that I also partly wanted to check that the little bitch didn't have her hands on Tom. I gently knocked my fist against the door before opening it. My eyes widened and my heart immediately dropped at what I saw. Tears pricked my eyes as Tom and Jenna sat on the bed, lips joined. Tom broke the kiss and his eyes widened as he saw me.
"Y/N." he gulped. I choked and shook my head before rushing out of the room and back to Tom's.
"Y/N, wait!" I heard him call after me. I bit my lip harshly, almost tasting blood as I tried to stop myself from crying. I stormed into our room and grabbed my suitcase before starting to randomly shove my stuff into it.
"Darling, that wasn't what it looked like, I swear to god." Tom gulped as he rushed into the room.
"So I didn't just catch you making out with your co-star?" I choked.
"She kissed me, Y/N, I swear to God, please." He begged.
"How the fuck am I meant to know that that's the truth? For all I know, you could have initiated that." I spat. Tom looked at me.
"Honestly, I'd hope that you know and trust me enough to know that I would never do that to you." He shook his head. My eyes widened.
"Don't you dare try to turn this around on me, Tom. You've been flirting with her for months, you've never once turned down any of her advances, so don't try to act like I'm the one in the wrong for not just trusting your word after I've caught you kissing another woman." I choked. Tom's eyes wavered and he looked down.
"Look, I know that I may have been a bit too friendly with her, and I'm sorry for that, but I've never flirted with her, I would never take it further than friendship. I love you, Y/N, I wouldn't cheat on you." He insisted. I shook my head and looked down.
"I need some time to think, Tom. I don't want to be around you right now." I mumbled as I grabbed my bag again and shoved the remaining items of clothes into it.
"Y/N, please don't do this." Tom choked, following me around the room like a lost puppy.
"I need time, okay? If you had just caught me kissing my co-star that I knew you were worried about, you'd want some time away from me too, so please, for the sake of our relationship, let me have some time." I nodded. Tom choked again, tears leaving his eyes as he stopped in his tracks.
"Do I have a shot of fixing this if I give you time?" he gulped, his eyes growing red and puffy. I sighed and looked at him.
"I don't know, Tom. But it's definitely your best chance." I admitted. He choked and looked down, nodding to himself.
"Okay. Then I'll let you have time." He spoke. I nodded to myself, another tear leaving my eye as I grabbed my suitcase and started to wheel it past Tom.
"Wait." He gulped, gently taking my wrist as I passed him and turning me to face him.
"What?" I asked, looking at him. He returned my gaze with broken eyes.
"Just know that I love you so much, and I'm so sorry. I will do anything, I'll do everything, that I can to fix this." He choked. I returned it and nodded, trying to swallow the tears as I left the hotel room and dialled Harrison's number as I went.
"Hey, mate, you okay?" he picked up after a few dial tones.
"I need you to come and pick me up." I sniffed as I pressed the lift button.
"Wait, what? You and Tom have only been there for two hours, is everything okay-."
"Please, Harrison, just, please." I choked, stepping into the lift and begging the doors to close. There was a sigh.
"Okay, Y/N, I'll be there soon. Hang in there." He spoke softly. I nodded, tears soaking my face as I hung up the call.
Tom's P.O.V
Tom sat alone in the now empty hotel room, tears streaming down his face as he sat on the edge of the bed. He looked down at the half-empty tumbler of whiskey that he held loosely in his hands, the drink only being consumed by the boy so that he'd had a shot at forgetting what had just happened between him and Y/N. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know how to fix this, especially because she was right. If the tables had been turned, if Tom had walked in on Y/N kissing someone that he'd been worried about, he'd not only be absolutely fuming but would also doubt that she hadn't initiated it, so he could hardly blame her. He let out a choked sigh, his hands wet from wiping his eyes as he grabbed his phone and scrolled to her number. He clicked on it and held the phone to his ear, not in the least bit surprised when it went straight to voicemail, telling him that she'd declined the call.
"Hey, it's Y/N, I can't get to the phone right now, probably because I'm watching Spiderman, so leave a message and I'll get back to you when I can. Bye." It spoke, making Tom chuckle through the tears before looking down.
"Hey, um, it's me. As you know, because you declined the call. Not that I blame you, I wouldn't want to talk to me either." He nodded, his eyes wavering.
"I just wanted to say how sorry I am. For all of this. I knew that you were worried about Jenna's crush on me, and yet I continued to hang out with her, did nothing about the flirting or any of it, and I am so sorry for that. But I'm telling the truth when I say that just because I didn't necessarily stop her from flirting doesn't mean that I returned it, and it definitely doesn't mean that I feel for her what she does for me. All of my love is for you, Y/N, it always has been, and it always will be." He choked as he squeezed his eyes shut and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Um, yeah. I don't think I have much more to say. I know that you'll be with Haz right now, and I know that he'll be taking your side, which is completely fair, but just tell him that I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I'm putting you both through this, especially you. You don't deserve this." He shook his head, harshly biting his lip.
"I love you." He nodded to himself before abruptly ending the call. He breathed out a shaky breath and chucked his phone back onto the bed before downing what little whiskey there was left in the tumbler in order to deal with the potential pain that he was about to experience. The pain that came with him potentially losing Y/N.
