The first date

My eyes fluttered open and I yawned as I stretched out. I blinked the morning sun in before looking down. I couldn't help but smile as Tom's arm was wrapped securely around my waist, just like it had been when I had drifted off into sleep. Tom and I had slept together on countless occasions before this one, but it felt different now that we were officially a couple. I turned over to face him and my smile widened as he was already awake and lying on his side, gently staring at me.

"Hey." I whispered.

"Morning, darling. You sleep okay?" he asked.

"I was in your arms, of course I did." I smiled. He returned it and gently cupped my cheek with his hand.

"What?" I chuckled.

"I just can't believe that you're my girlfriend now. You have no idea how long I waited for us to be more than just best friends." He scoffed and shook his head slightly. I smiled and bit my lip before leaning in and joining our lips. He returned it instantly, holding my face and pulling me closer. I smirked into the kiss, Tom returning it as he pulled me on top of him, making me straddle him as we continued to make out. I ran my hands down his chest and torso, relishing the bumpy feeling of his abs underneath my fingertips as his fingers slowly but surely worked their way underneath his shirt that I was wearing and onto my ass.

"What the fuck have I walked in on?" I broke the kiss and looked over my shoulder, Tom also looking past me to see Harrison.

"I hope you know that now that we're together, you stopping us from having sex isn't being a good best mate, it's being a cockblock." Tom nodded, making me laugh and Harrison chuckle as I climbed off of Tom.

"So, you two are officially together now? No more tip-toeing around your feelings? No having sex and then claiming it's just as best friends?" he asked, making us chuckle and look at each other.

"Nah, mate. I'm hers." Tom nodded, looking at me gently as he cupped my cheek. I smiled at him before leaning down and pressing our lips together again.

"Okay, I think that that's my cue, so I'll see you guys later." Harrison chuckled as he started to leave.

"Lock the door behind you, Haz." Tom spoke, smirking at me as he leant forward and pushed me down onto the bed.

"Gross!" he yelled back, making us laugh as Tom leant down and joined our lips again.

Tom and I lay in my bed, our naked bodies wrapped in my white sheets, my head rested against his strong chest. His hand gently rubbed up and down my bare back, his skin coming into contact with mine setting my skin alight with his touch. Suddenly, he stopped his movements.

"You know what I've just realised?" he asked.

"What's that?" I asked as I shifted so that I was practically lying on top of him as I looked up at him. He looked at me.

"I have yet to take you out on a date, as my girlfriend, all we've actually done so far is...well, had sex." He chuckled. My eyes widened slightly, and I sat up, holding the sheets against my chest.

"Tom, you know why we haven't gone out on a date yet." I sighed.

"Why's that, then, darling?" he chuckled as he sat up too.

"You know why, Tommy, don't make me say it." I sighed again. He returned it and nodded as he scooted forward on the bed and took my hand.

"I know, darling, I know. There will be a lot of backlash for both of us at first, but that'll stop once the fans see how much I love you and how good we are together. And I'll be right by your side, I won't let anything happen to you, or anything hateful be said to you." He reassured. I gulped and looked into his stunning hazel eyes.

"You promise?" I asked.

"I promise, sweetheart." He nodded. I sighed and looked at him, the boy too hard to resist.

"Okay then, Tom Holland. You can take me on a real date." I smiled. He returned it and nodded, making my smile widen as he leant in and gently kissed me.

I stood in my room, looking at my outfit for Tom and I's date in the full-length mirror. I bit my lip and smiled to myself as I knew that Tom would love my attire of a black skater-skirt dress with black heels and my curled hair.

"Y/N, Tom is nearly-wow." I turned around and smiled as Harrison stood at the door.

"Do I look okay?" I chuckled.

"Take it like this, if Tom wasn't taking you out, I would be." He nodded, making me laugh.

"Hands off, mate, she's mine." Harrison turned around to reveal Tom walking down the hallway. My eye's widened, as did his as we drank in each other's appearances. Tom was wearing a simple black suit with a white dress shirt that was unbuttoned slightly, making him look even better than he normally did.

"Wow, babe...you look..."

"Absolutely fucking stunning?" Harrison scoffed, making me laugh and Tom smile.

"That's the word." Tom chuckled as he walked to me and curled his arms around my waist.

"You look absolutely fucking stunning, sweetheart." He smiled.

"You don't look too bad yourself." I returned. He chuckled and nodded before taking my hand and starting to lead me through the house.

"Right, have fun, be safe, curfew is eleven, use protection because we're all too young to have a mini Tom or Y/N running around the place." Harrison teased.

"Thanks, dad." Tom mocked, making me chuckle.

"Seriously though, have fun, you two. You've both been waiting a long time for this, enjoy it." He nodded.

"Thanks, Haz." I smiled. He returned it and gave me a wink, making me chuckle as Tom led us out of the house.

"Are you ready to tell me where we're going yet?" I chuckled as Tom drove through the streets of London, taking me to the so-far undisclosed location of our first date.

"Nope. But you'll see it about...three...two...one." He smiled as he turned the corner. My eyes widened as my favourite restaurant came into view.

"We're not going there." I smiled.

"Yeah, we are, babe." He chuckled. I squealed and kissed his cheek, making him laugh as he pulled into a parking space and parked the car. We climbed out, Tom walking around to my side of the car and taking my hand before pulling me to the doors of the restaurant. He opened the door for me, making me smile at him as I walked in, the restaurant buzzing.

"Table for Holland, please." He smiled at the woman at the front, his hand finding my waist.

"Right this way." She spoke. Tom gave me a small smile as the woman led us through the restaurant, my eyebrows furrowing as we passed every empty table.

"Tom, where are we going?" I chuckled, looking up at him. He smiled and tapped the side of his nose, making me roll my eyes playfully and return the smile. The woman led us out to the outdoor bit of the restaurant, making me gasp and my eyes widen as I saw it. A single table stood in the middle of the courtyard, decorated with a white tablecloth and a vase of red roses. Lights hung from the wooden canape that sat over the table and gentle music played from the stereo that sat in the corner. The restaurant's photographer stood there, giving us a gentle smile as he stood poised to take photos of this perfect night.

"Careful, Tom, this is looking too much like a date." I teased.

"You know what'll really make it look like a date?" he chuckled.

"What's that?" I asked. He smiled and bit his lip as his arms started to curl around my waist.

"When I pull you into my body as much as I can and kiss you like there's no one else around." He spoke quietly, pulling me impossibly close as he started to lean down, hovering his lips over mine.

"There is no one around, apart from the restaurant photographer, thanks to you." I teased. He chuckled and nodded before closing the gap between our lips. I smiled into it, pulling him closer and gently combing my fingers through his hair as we kissed. We broke the kiss as we heard the camera go off, me chuckling and biting my lip as Tom looked at the photographer.

"At least he captured a nice moment." He smiled. I returned it and nodded as Tom took my hand and pulled me to the table.

"Well, that was incredible." I chuckled as Tom and I stood from the table, his arm curling around my waist as he started to lead us through the restaurant.

"It really was, darling." He smiled, kissing the side of my head. I returned it but my eyes widened as we reached the front of the restaurant to see dozens of cameramen and paparazzi waiting for us outside.

"What the fuck?" I scoffed.

"It's okay. Just take my lead and don't say anything, I want to announce our relationship our way, not through the paparazzi." Tom nodded. I returned it and gulped. He gave me a small smile and kissed my head again before taking my hand and opening the restaurant door. As soon as it opened, the paparazzi swarmed around us. My eyes widened as all I could see were bodies and the flashing of camera lights.

"Tom?! Who's the girl?! Is it Y/N?!" one yelled as Tom guided me through the crowd.

"Are you dating your best friend, Tom?! Why isn't Harrison with you?!" another shouted.

"Please just leave us be, thank you." He smiled as we reached the car. He quickly opened my door for me, making me take a deep breath as I climbed in and he shut the door. A moment later, the driver's door opened, and Tom climbed in. He shut the car door and puffed out before looking at me.

"You okay, darling?" he asked.

"Yeah, I just...I can already feel the shitstorm brewing." I chuckled nervously. Tom returned it as he gently placed his hand on my cheek.

"It'll be okay, sweetheart. Whatever we face, we face it together, okay?" he reassured. I sighed and nodded.

"Okay." I replied. He gave me another small smile and gently pecked my lips before shifting back into his seat and starting the car.
