Their Role in the Club and How/Why They Joined: Cleo is definitely the logical hardass of the group. Everyone mainly consults her when nothing is making sense and she tries her best to literally... explain it. Of course there's not much science behind paranormal activity but she takes a mild interest in the club because everything else fails to provide an intellectual challenge for her. This also doubles as a reason why she joined, its the only worth while endeavour available at the school in her opinion

Faceclaim + Short Description of Appearance:
Her face claim is Paris Berelc. Cleo is (surprisingly) very typical girl next door looking with long, brown and wavy hair and hazel coloured eyes. No, she doesn't wear glasses despite being a nerd. Surprise 🤓

Her style of clothing is very straight forward and simple, she doesn't like wasting time on trivial things like which bracelet best matches her top. In school, she spends majority of her time in the lab and so you'll frequently find her donning a lab coat. Other than that, a plain shirt and skirt will suffice.

Backstory:
Cleo had a pretty normal childhood, apart from the fact that her parents are the most eccentric couple she has ever come across... Hence the name Cleopatra.

They're both history buffs (working as researchers) and although she loves them in her own way, like every teen she can't help but feel a little... fed up with their constant antics (turning up at her school to showcase their findings, wearing matching clothes all the time, writing to her in hieroglyphics etc).

Cleo understands that they love her and all but their whimsical, wishy washy ways of living tends to grate on her nerves especially since she's so different to them.

Her parents were rather surprised to see how Cleo seemed to be so different from the very beginning, completely deviating from their happy go lucky norm. They love her but they do always remind her that its okay to lighten up sometimes, something she especially dislikes.
 
Personality:
Cleo definitely comes off as very cold and calculating, even when one gets to know her better. She's a highly logical person and she's always straight to the point even with sensitive topics. Of course her bluntness tends to offend many people and so she prefers being alone, its easier when its just her and her own reasoning.

She'd rather provide a solution to a problem than emotional support, and she has no problem telling you where you went wrong.

If she does (eventually) make friends, don't count on her changing. Your kween is a hard ass and will always be one, in terms of science and rationality. However, she will soften up a tad and even attempt to socialise more, going so far as to offer a few rare smiles.

Lowkey would make a cute couple with her crush because he'd be the only one that she actually opens up to 🤭
 
Strengths & Weaknesses:

-She's really freaking smart. Like really. She's definitely Valedictorian (even if she thinks the title is pointless) and almost always passes with full marks in all her subjects.

-Cleo is hardly ever fazed. It doesn't matter if she's literally faced with a ghost or even a surprise pop quiz, the girl keeps her cool. This mainly stems from the fact that she can acknowledge that there's no point in stressing out but also because she genuinely believes there's a logical reason behind everything. Although she may not understand something at first, she's sure she will eventually.

-Being highly logical also means she's great at making decisions. She tends to be the person who everyone comes to when making a big decision since she's able to easily weight up pros and cons.

-She's very persistent, as a scientist should be. If there's something that doesn't make sense, she'll research it again and again until it does. She will see things through to the end, no matter how long it takes.

-Due to her cold demeanor, Cleo is extremely socially inept. She struggles to get along with people, regardless of how friendly they are. She can speak to people like when she's explaining her findings to the club but struggles to maintain any sort of conversation for longer periods of time.

-This also means that she struggles to read social cues. What may seem taboo and obvious to a socially apt person is lost on Cleo. For example, she can understand when someone is being sarcastic but instead of simply moving on, she'll pause in order to point it out and question why.

-She both has and lacks emotional intelligence. Lemme explain... So Cleo can understand her emotions and she can easily deduce how someone else is feeling based on their body language but she doesn't exactly have a great grasp on her own emotions. She keeps everything bottled up rather than sharing, like others may do.

-Furthermore, she fails to empathise with others sometimes mainly because she can't fathom how they're looking at the world. E.g. "Why are you so afraid of arachnids? There's 43,000 species and less than 30 are actually harmful. That spider is a Parasteatoda tepidariorum, the common house spider. An ant has more potential to kill you" *cold stare*

 
Hobbies/Interests:

-Like mentioned before, Cleo really enjoys science. Specifically physics, its her favourite. She enjoys how so much of it is theoretical and yet its all somehow proven via equations.

-She actually likes card games, when playing against difficult people. She's not old enough to bet of course but she does enjoy taking calculated risks during a good game of Poker

-She takes part in the national Science Olympiad almost every year and has managed to win 2 out of 3 (the lost that one because of her bumbling team mate)

-In her free time, she hangs out in the lab. She usually finishes up her school work and then continues any experiments or extra research she wants to do
 
Dislikes:

-Stupid people. No, seriously. Cleo finds it bothersome when asked dumb questions that are easily searched up. Shes not Google, so when people come to her for trivial things its extremely irksome

-When people *her parents* tell her to lighten up. She doesn't understand what this is supposed to mean, how does one simply become light hearted and humorous?! She's who she is and she can't suddenly become the life of the party just because someone tells her to 'lighten up'

-She has a very strong distaste for heights. Its very hard to logically reason how she'll survive a 50ft drop and so she prefers staying on the ground if possible...

-Not having her morning coffee, the girl is addicted. She's not sorry.
 
Their Biggest Fear:
She's genuinely afraid that nobody will ever understand her as a person and although on the surface she seems okay with being totally alone, she doesn't want to end up without any friends. She's afraid of being misunderstood for the rest of her life, after all she's only human even if she sometimes seems emotionless.

-She has a crush on *insert name here* but she really struggles to get along with him (again her obviously amazing social skills) despite trying extremely hard. Some days she'll just give up while on other days she'll attempt to make painfully awkward conversation with him. She just wants him to notice her criiii

-She's lactose intolerant

-She enjoys listening to classical pieces when working, Mozart and the like

-Guys usually attempt to flirt with her based on her looks and then end up running away (and possibly crying) when she literally goes ice queen awkward legend on their ass. ("Your attempt to hide behind your mask of so called masculinity in order to cover up the fact that you're actually insecure is futile. Why are you in my lab? Leave, I have no time to deal with idiots")

-She's an only child but has a pet guinea pig called porky (derived not from the pig but from its scientific name- Cavia Porcellus. Its pronounced por-Chellus but she took creative liberties). She adores Porky and finds it amusing that she's a scientist with a literal pet guinea pig
