I think Gary is the older brother for May! He is two years older from her! Since Gary was 10 when he travel to Kanto. I guess he was 11 when he was in Jhoto! When Hoenn starts I'm guessing Gary is 12. Then May was 10 when Hoenn started in the Anime. I believe Max was 8 when he traveled with May.
